Lin Heng survived royal plots and an ambush, then left Chishui for the Great Xia Divine Martial Institute. He reunited with Dongfang Yao, enrolled as a student, and settled in while the Lingxi Royal Clan faced the loss of its Quasi-Gods.
Lin Heng outshone the Great Xia Divine Martial Institute’s students, exposed a Devil Race agent, and entered the Alchemy Dao Conference. His success strengthened his standing, while the Great Xia Imperial Clan refused to honor Dongfang Yao’s wager to dissolve their engagement.
Lin Heng rose to the God Realm, broke his engagement to Dongfang Yao, and became tied to Duanmu Yunshang as war with the Demon and Devil Races approached. When the Four Symbols God-Slaying Formation fell, Lin Heng killed Tuoba Ke and challenged the gathered enemy experts alone.
Lin Heng traveled across the Divine Firmament Continent to gather treasures while Ren Rulong gained power and pursued Dongfang Yao. When the Heavenly Sword Continent invaded, Lin Heng returned in time to defeat its leaders and question a captive about a route to the God Realm.
Lin Heng searched the God Realm for Liu Ling'er, found her within the Heavenly Saber Sect, and secretly helped her grow stronger while advancing to the God King Realm himself. As Feng Wuhen prepared to destroy the sect and Jiang Yu’s allies abandoned it, Lin Heng remained undercover and the coming battle drew near.
Lin Heng saved the Heavenly Saber Sect and fled with Liu Ling'er while the Wuji Sword Sect pursued them. Both reached the God Emperor Realm, and Lin Heng took Yue Linglong as his disciple before her family asked him and Liu Ling'er to leave Blade Wind Star.
Lin Heng defeated the Saint Martial Sect and the Wuji Sword Sect, then rescued his family and allies from Wuji Star. He traveled to Great Yin Star seeking treasures for Liu Ling'er, but escaped when the Great Yin Sect's Saint formation attacked him.
Lin Heng gained Saint Law Baptisms for himself and his companions, then helped the Heavenly Fire Sect survive a Void Race invasion and Zhao Ziang’s breakthrough. After Mo Qi pursued him, Lin Heng traveled to Heavenly Gate Star, where he entered the Heaven-Gazing Courtyard and began uncovering its hidden opportunities.
Lin Heng allied with the reborn Evil Emperor, entered the Heavenly Gate World with his companions, and fought through its dangers while they gained new powers. The arc left Lin Heng battling the mutated Flying Heavenly Sparrow amid the Sand Fire Demons.
Lin Heng gained treasures and allies while surviving the Heavenly Gate World, then was expelled from its summit trial and returned to Blue Radiance Star. The arc ended with the Saint Alliance’s Great Saints surrounding him as he fought Wang Teng under their combined pressure.
Lin Heng fought the Saint Alliance while searching for the Three Evils, who were possessed by Nirvana Soul Flames after seeking power in the Primal Secret Realm. He joined them aboard the Netherworld Ship, where they escaped Kou Yan and descended toward the ninth level as Kou Yan encountered Kong Rong.
Lin Heng advanced to the Great Saint Realm, rescued Yue Linglong, and fought his way through the Dark Wilderness to reach the Three Evils. At Huang Hall, Huang’s formation erased the Three Evils’ consciousnesses and freed Liu Ling’er, Miao Xiyin, and Duanmu Yunshang, while Lin Heng gained a Nether Ancestor puppet and new treasures.
Lin Heng repelled the Blood Gang Race, defeated the factions that ambushed him, and ascended to the Longevity Realm with his companions. Separated from them after ascending, he uncovered Zhuge Yun's ties to spirit-hunting bandits and killed him before setting his sights on Heavenly Abundance City.
Lin Heng uncovered Lin Qingping’s grave, lost Ye Fenghua to the Ye Clan’s greed, and battled powerful enemies while searching for Liu Ling’er and the other women. After reuniting with his mother and crossing the Spirit Radiance Region, Lin Heng entered the Chaotic Sand Sea, where he encountered a Five-Spirit Fierce Ape and a Purple Creek Flood Dragon.
Lin Heng disrupted the Blood Demon Sect and Tyrant Sword Sect’s trade, then learned Yue Linglong and Miao Xiyin were imprisoned in the Great Sun Region. He fought his way toward Heavenly Desolation City and found the two women wounded and chained above its gate.
Lin Heng and Sun Yuan entered the Ninefold Heaven, exposed Xuchengzi’s treachery, and joined the struggle for a Source Vein. Sun Yuan won a place among the final eight, and Lin Heng stepped forward to face the factions challenging him.
Lin Heng won the tournament, secured resources for the Qian Yuan Sect, and maneuvered against the Fire Clan while preparing his sect for its founding. He gathered Liuyun Lan, Chen Yulin, Miao Jingkong, and Lin Xiao at the ancient ruins beneath Rippling Moon Lake, where they found an inaccessible heavenly abode.
Lin Heng passed the Peach Garden Heavenly Abode's trials, gained control of the estate, and made Miao Jingkong and Lin Xiao his servants. After returning to the Qian Yuan Sect, he investigated the Origin Soul Spirit and learned that the Eight Great Imperial Clans had sworn to kill promising ascenders who founded new factions.
Lin Heng founded the Battle Heaven Pavilion, defied the Eight Great Imperial Clans, and led his forces into the Eighth Heaven to claim a place for the sect. After crushing the Dragon Flame Sect and crippling Yan Lie, he faced three arena battles arranged by the Fire Clan to weaken his forces.
