Zamasu stared at Beerus with trepidation, unable to understand why God of Destruction would seek him out, especially God of Destruction from another universe.
And he was looking at me with an icy expression. When had I offended him? And why was the person in the orange martial arts uniform next to him looking at me with a smile?
That smile was disgusting!
"Hmm? A candidate Supreme Kai? Lord Beerus, you mean Zamasu?" Gowasu turned to look at Zamasu beside him, his eyes gesturing.
It seems like they're asking if they've offended Beerus?
Zamasu noticed Gowasu's gaze, quickly snapped out of his daze, and shook his head. Why would he possibly provoke God of Destruction?
Are you tired of living?
Beerus didn't answer, he just nodded quietly.
"I wonder why Lord Beerus is looking for my apprentice?" Gowasu gritted his teeth.
If Zamasu really angers Beerus, I have to find a way to protect Zamasu no matter what.
"Ha! Old man, you don't need to worry about what I need him for. You seem quite concerned about him, huh? I just wonder if all that sincerity will end up being wasted!" Beerus looked at the master and apprentice pair Gowasu and Zamasu, with a hint of mockery.
Gowasu was taken aback; he clearly didn't understand what Beerus meant.
However, Zamasu reacted very differently. His expression suddenly changed, and panic appeared on his face, with beads of cold sweat appearing on his forehead.
His heart was screaming.
He had only entertained such a thought, so how did this God of Destruction from Universe 7 know it?
" Goku, destroy him!" Beerus didn't want to say any more.
Since he said those words, it means he took the blame for Goku killing the candidate Supreme Kai.
"What?"
Gowasu suddenly looked up, while Zamasu quickly retreated, seemingly trying to escape.
Goku extended his right hand, a chilling smile on his face.
Goodbye, Zamasu of this time and space!
Trying to run? You think you can escape, you've only just entered the Divine Power First Realm?
" Space-Time Destruction!"
This is the name that Goku specifically chose for this move he created.
He's terrible at naming things and can't think of any good names, so he'll just use whatever's available.
A ball of energy, its purple light interspersed with white light, slowly approached Zamasu.
The energy ball was small, even smaller than a fist, but the power it emitted was terrifying, as if it could destroy everything in the world!
Zamasu tried to dodge, but the seemingly slow-moving energy ball made contact with his body in an instant.
For a moment, he felt as if his consciousness had stopped.
To outsiders, Zamasu appeared as a violent explosion of flames.
The immensely powerful explosion was restricted and subsequently began to shrink.
The surrounding space was constantly distorted until the explosion compressed it into a singularity and disappeared from the world.
"Za... Zamasu!!" Gowasu's eyes widened in horror.
"Old man, don't be sad, we saved your life!" Beerus looked at Gowasu with amusement.
"What?"
"Heh heh, your beloved disciple will kill you later!"
"This... how is this possible? Zamasu may be a bit stubborn and obsessive, but..."
"Do you know why I want to kill him? Because he will later kill the Supreme Kai of our universe, which will lead to my death!"
"This..."
"Old man, you still don't believe me? Goku, show him." Beerus turned to look at Goku.
Goku nodded, and the Power of Time surged within him, causing a projection to appear in the sky.
He had already observed Goku Black's past through the Power of Time when he first met Goku Black, and captured that footage.
Goku had already considered this possibility, and this will be the best explanation when the time comes!
In the projection, Zamasu first killed Gowasu, then used the Super Dragon Balls to take over the body of Goku from a parallel universe, and finally killed the swapped Goku.
"Za... Zamasu actually..." Gowasu stared in shock at the various crimes Zamasu had committed on the projection.
He knew it was all real, because the angel was there.
If it weren't true, the angels wouldn't allow the God of Destruction to arbitrarily kill a candidate Supreme Kai, especially one from another universe.
He had always thought that Zamasu was just a little paranoid and malicious, and that he could improve through his teaching.
But it seems I was just overthinking things.
No, Zamasu's facade in front of me has indeed changed over the years, but it's all just a disguise.
Gowasu's eyes went unfocused, and he looked utterly lost.
He really didn't want to believe it was true—that he had misjudged!
"Hmph! What about you, old man? Look at the kind of disciple you've taught! Someone like that is fit to be a Supreme Kai?" Beerus narrowed his eyes, his expression somewhat unfriendly.
"Alas! Lord Beerus, you are right. I did misjudge you and failed to teach you properly. I am very grateful to Lord Beerus for saving my life." Gowasu sighed sadly.
The mentor-student relationship between Zamasu and Zamasu has lasted for so many years. Perhaps Zamasu was faking it, but he wasn't.
"Old man, I hope you'll be more discerning when choosing an apprentice next time. If there's a next time, I'll ruin everything for you too!"
Beerus is more than just a scare tactic.
The first time was an accident, but was the second time also an accident? I think you're an accomplice!
Using this as an excuse, they can't really say anything about their own sabotage of Gwaslam.
"Hmph! Whis, let's go!" Beerus snorted coldly on the surface, but he was still quite satisfied with Gowasu's attitude.
"Yes, Lord Beerus." Whis nodded and waved his staff.
The three of them transformed into a streak of rainbow light and disappeared into the Supreme Kai once more.
After the three disappeared Gowasu looked at the empty Supreme Kai, took a deep breath, and exhaled. His back gradually hunched over, and he seemed to have aged several years.
After returning home, Goku's life was as peaceful and comfortable as ever.
Six months later.
Goku, who was in a meditative state, slowly opened his eyes, and a scorching light flashed from his pupils.
"Success!"
With excitement on his face, Goku's fur turned silver-white in the next second, appearing from a distance to be almost identical to his previous Ultra Instinct.
But as his gaze swept over Whis, Whis instantly noticed the difference.
