Goku rode the Flying Nimbus slowly back to Mount Paozu. He knew the Flight Technique too, but the Flying Nimbus saved him a lot of energy.

The Flight Technique actually wasn't difficult. Master Roshi knew it too, but for certain reasons, he didn't use it.

After flying over his house, Goku jumped off the Flying Nimbus. He couldn't help feeling a little nostalgic; after all, he hadn't been back in six months.

He gently pushed open the door, and dust drifted down from it, especially visible in the sunlight. At a glance, the inside of the house was covered in a thin layer of dust after being unoccupied for over half a year.

Goku frowned slightly at the sight. Ki suddenly surged out of him, and with a jolt, the dust clinging to everything in the house came loose from the walls and fell to the floor. He then controlled his ki to envelop the dust and carry it outside.

After doing all that, Goku breathed a sigh of relief. This counted as training his ki control too.

Just then, his stomach began rumbling with hunger. He glanced at the sky; it was about lunchtime.

Son Goku decided to catch a fish in the stream beside his home. There was no need to ask about a fishing rod-a Saiyan's tail was the best fishing rod there was, and he had already trained his tail.

No sooner had he made up his mind than he flew into the sky, turned a somersault, and headed for the stream.

He dipped his tail into the water, and about ten minutes later, Son Goku sensed a fish bite it.

With a powerful flick, he sent a fish two meters long, one meter wide, and weighing at least 150 kilograms flying more than ten meters into the air.

Goku flew up after it and kicked it onto the bank, knocking it unconscious in the process.

Looking at the fish before him, he thought this was much better than before, when he often came back empty-handed. Just look at it: it had bitten quickly, and it was huge.

He found a stick thicker than his arm, skewered the fish from head to tail, then gathered some firewood and lit a fire to roast it.

Goku gazed at the flickering flames before him and let his mind wander, considering what to do next.

It was already Age 749, and the time for Bulma to set out on her search for the Dragon Balls was drawing near. It wasn't that he didn't want to find the Dragon Balls himself, but without a Dragon Radar, he still had to rely on Bulma.

For now, he would keep training and wait for Bulma to pass through Mount Paozu.

As he mulled it over, Goku suddenly smelled something burning.

"Oh no, my grilled fish!"

Three months later, Goku wiped the sweat from his forehead, having finished his training for the day. He was quite satisfied with his progress over the past three months; he had gotten nearly twice as strong.

Before, his power level had been a little higher than Master Roshi's, an estimated 150. Now it was around 300.

But Goku still wasn't quite satisfied. He hoped to transform into a Super Saiyan before Vegeta came to Earth.

Honestly, he really wanted to see what expression Vegeta would make when he saw him with blond hair and blue eyes.

Perhaps this was what made him different from the original Son Goku: a twisted sense of humor? Was this Scumrot?

Of course, all of that was still a long way off. To become a Super Saiyan, he first needed a base power level of three million. But once he met Bulma and got a gravity chamber, his base power level would rise quickly.

Suddenly, Son Goku sensed someone heading in the direction of his home.

Could Bulma be here? Son Goku thought as he flew toward the presence he had sensed.

Flying through the sky, Son Goku immediately spotted Bulma driving a car along the road.

Son Goku landed by the roadside up ahead, planning to call out to Bulma when she passed.

Then he heard Bulma calling for help ahead. He looked over and saw that the car she was driving seemed to be out of control. It had veered off the road, and it seemed to be heading straight for him.

The corner of Goku's mouth twitched. What grudge does she have against me? She's going to hit me even now? He then leaped in front of the car.

Bulma frantically stomped on the brakes and turned the steering wheel, but the car refused to obey. She couldn't help screaming, and just then, a child suddenly appeared in front of her.

"Ah!" Bulma squeezed her eyes shut and lowered her head, apparently unable to bear watching the "gruesome" scene.

"Bang!" With a loud crash, the car came to a stop.

"I'm doomed, I'm doomed! I've killed someone! I'm going to prison! No, I don't want to! I'm only sixteen, and I haven't even found a boyfriend yet!"

Bulma shakily raised her head and opened her eyes to look ahead, only to find the little boy standing there completely unharmed, both hands buried deep in the car.

Goku pulled his hands out of the sheet metal. For someone with a power level as high as 300, stopping a car was child's play.

Bulma's eyes instantly went as wide as saucers, and she was so shocked she questioned her life. Then she saw the tail behind Kid Goku. "M-mon-monster!"

"You're the monster! I saved you, and you call me that!" Goku folded his arms across his chest.

Bulma carefully stepped out of the car and said to the boy, who was shorter than her,

"I'm sorry, and thank you for saving me."

"Hmph, who are you? What are you doing out here in the middle of nowhere? Aren't you afraid the wild beasts will eat you? The beasts here are really strong. There are even dinosaurs." Goku pretended not to know Bulma.

"Huh? Don't scare me. There are dinosaurs too?!" Bulma's face went pale, but then she noticed the mocking smile at the corner of Goku's mouth and grew a little annoyed.

"Of course. Dinosaurs are scary to you, but to me, they're top-quality ingredients. By the way, you still haven't answered my question."

"My name is Bulma. I'm from West City, and I came here because I'm looking for the Dragon Balls."

"Dragon Balls? What are those? Can you eat them?"

"Hey, hey, hey, kid, do you have to ask if you can eat everything? If you collect all seven Dragon Balls and summon Shenron, he can grant any wish!"

Bulma looked Son Goku up and down. Thinking of how he had stopped the car with his bare body, she narrowed her eyes and thought for a moment.

"Would you be my bodyguard? Protect me while I look for the Dragon Balls? Once it's done, I can give you limitless wealth. My family is the richest in the world, you know," Bulma said, a little smugly.

"Really?"

"Really. How about a hundred million Sony?"

"Hmm, could you also make me a gravity chamber?"

"A gravity chamber?"

"Right!"

"I can promise to do my absolute best, but I can't guarantee it. You should be prepared for that."

"All right, deal!" Son Goku couldn't help marveling again at how rich Bulma's family was. She was only sixteen, and she could hand over a hundred million just like that.

Bulma was delighted when Son Goku agreed. But she looked at the car beside her and knew it was no longer usable. She took out a Hoi-Poi Capsule, pressed it, and threw it onto the ground. A motorcycle appeared.

"I still don't know your name."

"Son Goku. Just call me Goku."

"Okay, Goku, hop on." Bulma sat at the front of the motorcycle, leaving plenty of room behind her for Son Goku to sit.

"No thanks, I can fly." After saying that, Son Goku somewhat regretted it and couldn't help thinking, If this were before I transmigrated, I would have agreed right away. I really have fused with him after all.

"You can fly?" Bulma asked in surprise.

"Yeah. Flying Nimbus!" At Goku's call, a yellow cloud came flying over from the distance. Goku leaped onto it.

"Let's go," Goku said to Bulma with a grin.

Looking at Goku sitting on the cloud, Bulma couldn't help feeling a little envious. "Can I ride that cloud?"

"Huh? I don't know. Not everyone can ride the Flying Nimbus, but you can try." With that, Son Goku guided the Flying Nimbus down to the ground and made room for her.

"Hee-hee!" Bulma happily got off the motorcycle and tried to plop herself down on the Flying Nimbus. But with a thud, she passed straight through it and landed on her butt.

"Ahh-that hurts, it hurts so much." Bulma climbed to her feet and rubbed her butt.

"Haha, looks like you can't ride the Flying Nimbus," Goku said with a laugh.

Seeing Son Goku laughing so gleefully, Bulma couldn't help getting angry.

"What are you laughing at? You can't ride it either. You're riding the motorcycle with me!" Bulma said fiercely.

"Huh? Why?"

"Just because I'm the one paying you. Do you still want the money or not?"

"O-okay!" Seeing Son Goku's dejected expression, Bulma couldn't help feeling a little smug.

"Let's go!" Once Goku had gotten on, Bulma twisted the throttle, and the motorcycle headed toward Goku's house.
