Chapter Summaries

Wei Zhenzu cooked a potent meal to recover his strength while Grand Master Varka, freed from his confinement by Diluc, raced toward Stormterror's Lair. As Varka left Mondstadt, Timmie described bizarre coin-flipping pigeons and began showing signs of a disturbing transformation.

• Wei Zhenzu had Paimon gather Abnormality meat and cooked a purple, spicy dish to restore his sanity and stamina.
• Varka learned that the scouting party was trapped in a Mirror Dungeon and that a huge explosion had occurred near the Temple of the Thousand Winds.
• Diluc agreed to guard Mondstadt, allowing Varka to take his weapons and rush toward the front.
• Varka saw Timmie muttering about pigeons defeating the Traveler in a clash, gave him Mora, and continued toward Stormterror's Lair.
• Timmie's eyes turned red as he muttered that the pigeons had grown gears and many red eyes.

After Kaeya was swept to the top of the ruined tower, Varka ordered Jean and Eula to evacuate the wounded while he and Wei Zhenzu went to rescue him. As they ascended into the dark red storm, the Knights of Favonius prepared defenses around Mondstadt for the looming battle.

• A wounded scout told Varka that Kaeya had drawn monsters away from the retreat and been swept to the tower by a dark red storm.
• Varka ordered Jean and Eula to lead the wounded and Klee back toward Mondstadt and secure the retreat route.
