Buying Another BMW

As soon as his father-in-law and mother-in-law heard that Ye Chen would buy them a better car tomorrow, their faces lit up with smiles.

His father-in-law had no idea that what he had missed out on was a top-of-the-line BMW 760.

Xiao Churan was a little worried. After returning to their room and washing up, she quietly asked Ye Chen, "Do you still have money to buy a car? I have some money of my own saved up. Why don't you take it with you tomorrow and buy the car?"

Ye Chen hurriedly waved his hand. "No need. I still have some. It's enough."

Xiao Churan said apologetically, "I'm really sorry. I didn't expect my parents to be like this..."

Ye Chen smiled. "What are you talking about? Your parents are my parents too. We're all family, and it's only right that we take care of them."

With that, Ye Chen lay down on his little bed on the floor and smiled. "Don't worry. I'll go buy another one first thing tomorrow morning!"

Xiao Churan was touched. "Ye Chen, thank you!"

Ye Chen laughed. "Why are you being so polite with me, honey?"

Xiao Churan's pretty face flushed slightly as she asked him, "You sleep on the floor. Don't you get cold at night?"

Ye Chen blurted out, "No, not at all. Don't worry, I'm just fine!"

Xiao Churan suddenly chided him, "If you're not cold, then go to sleep! Pighead!"

She had finally been thinking about letting him sleep in the bed, but this pighead had completely missed the hint...

At that moment, Ye Chen suddenly realized that he seemed to have accidentally missed something...

So he hurriedly said, "Oh, honey, it's so cold on the floor. I'm shivering all over!"

Xiao Churan said irritably, "If you're cold, get another quilt!"

Ye Chen made her breakfast and handed her the keys to the BMW. "Drive to the office today."

Xiao Churan couldn't help saying, "You bought the car. Wouldn't it be inappropriate for me to drive it to work?"

Ye Chen said, "What's inappropriate about that? You're my wife. Besides, I bought the car for you, not for myself."

Xiao Churan nodded gently and said gratefully, "Thank you!"

With that, she took the BMW keys from his hand.

His father-in-law watched enviously from the side and blurted out, "Ye Chen, you haven't forgotten about buying me a car, have you?"

"I haven't, I haven't!" Ye Chen hurriedly said. "I'll go buy it for you in a bit. Just wait at home for me to drive your new car back!"

His father-in-law immediately beamed and said happily, "Then I'll be waiting! A BMW 530-you said it yourself, so don't buy the wrong one!"

Ye Chen was amused. He nodded and said, "Don't worry, Dad. I'll bring your BMW 530 back today!"

With that, he followed his wife downstairs and pulled his little electric scooter out of the trunk of the BMW 760.

Xiao Churan drove the BMW 760 off to work, while Ye Chen rode his little electric scooter to the BMW dealership once again.

As he neared the BMW dealership, he happened to pass the entrance to the Audi dealership.

The people at the Audi dealership spotted him first, and a salesperson blurted out, "Holy shit, that big shot who bought the BMW 760 is back on his little electric scooter!"

"Damn it, even if we have to kneel before him today, we have to stop him and sell him a top-of-the-line Audi A8!"

"That's right!"

In an instant, a whole crowd of Audi salespeople came charging out and surrounded him so tightly that not even a drop of water could get through.

"Sir! Come look at the latest top-of-the-line Audi A8 at our dealership!"

"Sir! Our A8 is incredibly powerful. It has a W12 engine, even more badass than the V12 in the BMW 760!"

Ye Chen asked curiously, "Is it really that badass?"

"It is!" An Audi salesperson hurriedly explained, "Bro, let me tell you, our W12 engine can shut down one side or the other. Shut off half the twelve cylinders and you're left with six, which saves fuel!"

Ye Chen said disdainfully, "Are you sick in the head? I buy a twelve-cylinder car to save fuel and shut off six cylinders? Wouldn't it be better to just buy a six-cylinder car?"

Sitting in the car, Ye Chen looked toward the voice and discovered that Liu Lili, the fiancée of his good college friend Wang Daokun, was holding the arm of a man he didn't know, looking intimate and flirtatious.

Ye Chen immediately frowned. Liu Lili called him darling. Is this woman putting a green hat on Wang Daokun?

He couldn't help feeling angry, because women with no moral bottom line who were unfaithful in relationships were what he hated most in his life.

What was more, Wang Daokun was working diligently on his career, yet she had come out to put a green hat on him. This woman was simply too disgusting!

At that moment, he heard the man ask with a lustful look, "If I buy you an X6 now, how are you going to explain it to that Wang Daokun?"

"Wang Daokun?" Liu Lili said with a look of disgust. "Don't mention that good-for-nothing. He's useless. His family has no money, and he has no ability. If he didn't seem honest and dependable, I wouldn't be with him at all!"
