The man chuckled, pinched Liu Lili's cheek and asked, "You're my woman now. Are you still planning to stay with him? I won't let another man lay a finger on a woman I, Zhao Dong, have slept with!"

Liu Lili hurriedly said, "Don't worry, Brother Dong. Ever since we got together, I haven't let him touch me. I think he's dirty! My body will always belong to you alone, Brother Dong, and I'll only ever use it to serve you!"

She went on to explain, "Actually, I was going to break up with him as soon as the restaurant opened. But then a classmate of his turned out to be fairly capable and helped me deal with Scar, that underworld guy in the development zone. I wanted to wait until business was a little more stable before breaking up with him and kicking him straight out of the restaurant."

Zhao Dong laughed. "Scar? What does he amount to? If you'd told me sooner, one phone call from me would have had his boss apologizing to you."

Liu Lili said with a grin, "Oh, Brother Dong, you really are amazing! Things were urgent at the time, and I didn't get a chance to call you. Besides, Wang Daokun was there too. I was afraid seeing him would upset you!"

Zhao Dong pinched her waist and laughed. "You're quite considerate!"

Liu Lili hurriedly rubbed her breasts back and forth against his arm. "Brother Dong, are you going to buy me a BMW X6 or not?"

Zhao Dong smiled. "How about this? We'll go to my place in a bit and let me feed you properly a few times. Then you can break up with that loser, and tomorrow I'll come buy you a BMW X6!"

Liu Lili asked in delight, "Brother Dong, do you mean it? You'll really buy me an X6 tomorrow?"

"When have I ever lied to you?" Zhao Dong chuckled. "But first, you'll have to serve me well enough to make me happy!"

Liu Lili immediately gave him a sultry look. "Don't worry, Brother Dong. Once we get to your place, I'll make sure to serve you well!"

As they spoke, the two turned around and left the dealership again.

Ye Chen was furious with the shameless couple. He immediately took out his phone and called Wang Daokun.

As soon as Wang Daokun picked up, he said excitedly, "Ye Chen, what are you up to? What made you think of calling me?"

Ye Chen said mildly, "Just calling to see how you're doing. What are you busy with?"

Wang Daokun said, "I'm helping out in the restaurant kitchen. It's almost noon, and customers will be coming in soon, so I'm lending a hand."

Ye Chen asked, "Are you busy at the restaurant every day?"

"Yeah," Wang Daokun said. "The restaurant just opened, so there's a lot to do. Besides, Lili's dad put up more than half the money for it. If I don't work harder, her family will look down on me."

Ye Chen asked, "How much did you put in?"

"One hundred thousand. That's everything I've saved since graduating from college."

Ye Chen continued, "Who owns the restaurant?"

"I do!" Wang Daokun said.

Ye Chen asked, "Is it registered under your name?"

"No, it's registered under Lili's dad's name. Lili and I aren't married yet, and her family put up the money, so it wouldn't be right to put my name on it."

Then Wang Daokun added, "But her dad said that once we're married, he'll transfer actual ownership of the restaurant to me."

Ye Chen shook his head as he listened. This fool was being used and didn't even know it!

Liu Lili treated him like an ox, a horse, a slave, making him take care of the restaurant business in the development zone while she went out and fooled around with a rich man. She was even planning to kick Wang Daokun to the curb.

As things stood, Wang Daokun didn't have a penny's worth of connection to the restaurant on its business registration. Once Liu Lili turned on him, he'd have to walk away with nothing!

When that happened, not only would all his work have been for nothing, but his hundred thousand yuan would have gone down the drain too!

The thought made Ye Chen dislike Liu Lili even more. He asked Wang Daokun directly, "Where did Lili go?"

Wang Daokun laughed. "She went to get her hair done. Why?"

Ye Chen sneered. "Getting her hair done? That's what she said?"

"Yeah!"

"And you believed her just because she said so?"

Sounding a little surprised, Wang Daokun asked, "Ye Chen, what exactly are you getting at? Just say it. No need to beat around the bush."

"Mm," Ye Chen said. "Then I'll be straight with you. I saw Liu Lili at the BMW dealership. She was in the arms of a man named Zhao Dong, and she kept calling him darling. She might be putting a green hat on you."

"Impossible!" Wang Daokun blurted out. "Lili isn't that kind of person at all! Could you have mistaken someone else for her?"

"I didn't make a mistake," Ye Chen said with certainty. "It was her."

"I don't believe it!" Wang Daokun's tone turned cold. "Ye Chen, we're good friends, but that doesn't mean you can badmouth my wife!"

Ye Chen said coldly, "Wang Daokun, wake up! Your wife is already with another man, and that Zhao Dong even promised to buy her a BMW X6. Liu Lili has gone home with him, and she's planning to break up with you when she gets back tonight! As your old classmate, I suggest you prepare yourself!"

Before Wang Daokun could answer, Ye Chen continued, "You'd better move that painting I gave you somewhere safe first. Keep it, and you'll still have the capital to rise again. But if you don't believe me, there's nothing I can do."

Wang Daokun grew agitated too. "Ye Chen! Stop talking nonsense! Lili is my fiancée. I know her better than anyone, and she would never betray me! If you slander her again, our friendship is over!"

Ye Chen frowned and said mildly, "Fine. As your friend, I've given you the warning I should have. If you don't believe me, there's nothing I can do. Good luck!"

With that, Ye Chen hung up.

What a fool, his head completely clouded by love. If he'd known, he would have secretly recorded a video just now and sent it to him!

Just then, the BMW dealership manager knocked on the car window and asked, "Sir, are you satisfied with this 530?"

Ye Chen nodded. "It's pretty good. I'll take this model. Bring me a new one from the storage lot."

The manager's face lit up at once. "Please wait a moment. I'll arrange for someone to bring the car over!"

Soon, a salesperson drove over in a black BMW 530. Ye Chen promptly paid by card and took delivery of the car, then folded up his little electric scooter, stuffed it into the trunk and drove off with a swagger.

On the way back, his father-in-law and mother-in-law took turns calling to ask whether he was back yet.

When Ye Chen arrived downstairs, he found his father-in-law and mother-in-law already waiting there.

Seeing that Ye Chen really had bought a BMW 530, the elderly couple beamed with excitement.

His father-in-law walked around the BMW several times, exclaiming, "What a car! What a car! I never thought I'd get to drive a BMW!"

Ye Chen smiled. "Dad, maybe you'll even get to drive a Rolls-Royce someday."

His father-in-law laughed. "That depends on what you two can do!"

His mother-in-law was delighted too, and her attitude toward Ye Chen had changed considerably.

His father-in-law took the car for a test drive. When he returned, he said, "It really is a good car, and it's comfortable to drive. It's just too long, so it's a bit hard to handle. Ye Chen, be my driver this afternoon and come with me to take care of something. I've already arranged to meet someone and have a look at something."

Ye Chen nodded. "All right, Dad."

His mother-in-law said excitedly, "Drive me around sometime too, and take me to afternoon tea with my friends! Let them see that I'm someone who gets chauffeured around in a BMW now!"
