Xu Long learned that Godzilla’s family had come ashore in search of food, while the Rice Country had built Mechagodzilla to exploit Hollow Earth. He ordered the Mechagodzilla site seized and flew toward the hungry monsters to try to communicate with them.

• The Red Queen reported that the Rice Country had an intact Mechagodzilla controlled by an external human brain and that the North Pole contained an entrance to Hollow Earth.
• Xu Long learned that thirteen Godzillas had come ashore because their mutated bodies and young needed more food, while Kong lived on Skull Island.

As the Main World changed, Xu Long brought Kong and a team of powerful allies into the Hollow Earth to investigate its monsters and hostile peoples. They descended by aircraft toward the dangerous underground world, with Red Queen warning that gravity was about to reverse.

• Xu Long observed that the solar system's planets were turning into energy and suspected the Main World's restoration might recreate the ancient world of round heavens and square earth.
• Xu Long beat Kong into submission on Skull Island and sent him to the Hollow Earth.

• Xu Long lounged outside the Great Hall of Zhenwu with Rice Bucket when Zhou Zhiruo approached and asked why he was sleeping there.
• Xu Long told Zhou Zhiruo he was Zhang Sanfeng’s grand-disciple, but Song Qingshu arrived and belittled him as sickly and unable to practice martial arts.

Xu Long exploited Song Qingshu’s plot against Zhang Wuji as cover to enter Zhou Zhiruo’s room and seduce her with his extreme yang severed yin body. Zhou Zhiruo woke the next morning realizing she had spent the night with an unidentified man, while Xu Long’s identity remained unknown to her.

• Song Qingshu planned to ruin Zhang Wuji and ordered his followers to wait for a chance to deal with him while the Wudang elders were in seclusion.
• Zhou Zhiruo protested Song Qingshu’s treatment of Zhang Wuji, then dismissed Song as a toad after he left her room.

• Song Qingshu tried to catch Rice Bucket after seeing him carry a sheep, but the dog evaded him and ran to the back mountain.

Abbess Miejue’s Emei group encountered Zhao Min and the Xuanming Elders on the road to Mount Wudang, and a fight broke out. An unidentified person abducted Zhao Min and knocked Zhou Zhiruo and Ding Minjun unconscious, leaving Abbess Miejue to resume her journey to confront Zhang Sanfeng.

• Abbess Miejue dismissed the possibility of a plot against Emei and led her disciples toward Mount Wudang to demand an explanation from Zhang Sanfeng.
• Zhou Zhiruo recognized Zhao Min as the killer of two Emei juniors, and Abbess Miejue confronted Zhao Min and the Xuanming Elders.
