Ice and Fire Dragon Marsh: Why Are Their Remnant Souls Still Here?
As expected, both Soul Bone were obtained.
"Right leg bone, Head Soul Bone."
Bai Guyue looked at the two dragon bones in her hand.
The Ice Dragon King's right leg bone has a blue texture like ice jade, with bone patterns resembling frozen ice crystals, and the bone tip has the outline of a dragon claw.
The Fire Dragon King's Head Soul Bone is crimson red like molten iron, covered with scorching patterns, and surging with rolling heat waves, carrying a domineering and violent dragon's might.
These two Soul Bone were the key to his survival in the Third Trial.
"What audacity!"
"You dare covet our Soul Bone? I think you're tired of living."
Two angry shouts rang out.
Two figures, one in blue and one in red, emerged simultaneously from the two dragon skeletons.
The figure in red was tall and slender, clad in a long, bright red dress that accentuated her curves. Her features were striking and bold, and her eyes held a sharp edge befitting a mature woman.
The girl in blue was a completely different person. She was petite, wore a blue and white short skirt, had her hair in two ponytails, a round face, big, bright eyes, and a mischievous look on her face.
The Fire Dragon King crossed his arms, slightly raised his chin, and stared directly at the Bai Guyue.
"How dare you covet our Soul Bone! You're tired of living."
The Ice Dragon King floated to the side, tilting his head to examine Bai Guyue, and chuckled:
"Weren't you having a good time when you were flipping our bones? Now give me a smile."
Bai Guyue slowly straightened up, put the two Soul Bone into her Soul Tool, and scanned the two people back and forth with her eyes. She focused her attention and quietly raised her Soul Power to its peak.
The thing I was worried about did happen.
Although these two remnant souls were faint, their aura pressed down on him with real force; the pressure from a demigod was no joke.
"Two seniors," Bai Guyue spoke, her tone neither humble nor arrogant, "You have been gone for many years. It's a waste to leave your Soul Bone here. Why not give them to me and make the best use of them?"
The Fire Dragon King raised an eyebrow, his gaze as if he were looking at an arrogant junior.
"Make the best use of resources? You're quite the talker. Do you think a Soul Douluo would be allowed to take advantage of what belongs to the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings?"
The Ice Dragon King floated up to him, arms behind his back, tilted his head to look at him, and grinned.
"You've got some nerve, Fire Dragon King. How about we just burn him to a crisp?"
"Don't be hasty," the Fire Dragon King smirked, "Let's see what kind of nonsense he has in store."
Bai Guyue met the Ice Dragon King's gaze without backing down:
"I'm in a hurry. Please state your conditions directly."
The Ice Dragon King blinked, glanced back at the Fire Dragon King, then turned back, laughing even more heartily.
"Oh, so you're trying to negotiate with us?"
Bai Guyue rolled her eyes. If they didn't negotiate, were they just supposed to wait to die?
Although I have my own trump cards, the person in front of me is still one of the former Nine Great Dragon Kings, so I must not underestimate him.
"You want to negotiate? What conditions do you have to negotiate?" The Fire Dragon King opened his palm, and blazing flames burned in his hand, far hotter than any flame he had ever seen.
"I'll send you on your way right now!"
The Fire Dragon King swiftly hurled the flames from his hand towards Bai Guyue.
Bai Guyue remained completely unfazed. "Since you two are unwilling to reason with me, then you may both face your deaths."
The Fire Dragon King chuckled, "Foolish! You think you can send us on our way? Do you think that's possible?"
Just as the flames were about to strike the Bai Guyue, a hand suddenly clenched in mid-air and extinguished the flames.
The Fire Dragon King exclaimed in shock, "Who!"
"Fire Dragon King, Ice Dragon King, I didn't expect you two to still be alive."
The body of the God of Destruction gradually materialized, and the terrifying pressure caused the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings's expression to change drastically.
"The Destruction God King!" The Ice Dragon King exclaimed in shock, then looked at Bai Guyue's fearless expression. "So you are the successor of the Destruction God King. What a miscalculation."
The Fire Dragon King narrowed his eyes slightly. "Destruction God King, you actually found a successor so quickly."
The Destruction God King showed no mercy to the two, coldly saying, "Fire Dragon King, you're just a remnant soul, yet you dare to be so arrogant. Today, I'll make you disappear from this world completely. When you wanted to kill my successor, did you ever think about this moment?"
The Ice Dragon King and the Fire Dragon King trembled simultaneously.
The pressure from the God of Destruction pressed down squarely, and the two remnant souls, already teetering on the brink, now seemed poised to be crushed at any moment.
The Fire Dragon King's facial muscles twitched, stubbornly refusing to bow his head, his expression ferocious:
"Go ahead and kill me if you dare! Do you think I, the Fire Dragon King, am afraid of anything?!"
The God of Destruction remained expressionless.
"I'll send you on your way now."
The God of Destruction raised his hand, and the Power of Destruction condensed, with dark purple light surging in his palm.
At that very moment, the Ice Dragon King made a move.
She slid down to her knees beside Bai Guyue in a flash, tightly hugging Bai Guyue's thighs with both arms, tears streaming down her face.
"No! Don't kill me! I didn't say I'd kill you! I haven't lived enough yet!"
Bai Guyue looked down at the Ice Dragon King hanging on her leg, her mind not quite processing what was happening.
The Fire Dragon King stared with his mouth agape, unable to close it for a long time.
The God Destruction God of Destruction paused for a moment, his brow furrowing.
The Ice Dragon King, one of the Nine Great Dragon Kings and a god-like figure, was kneeling on the ground, hugging the leg of a Soul Douluo and crying his eyes out.
"You..." The Fire Dragon King pointed at the Ice Dragon King, his voice trembling, "What are you doing! Stand up! You've disgraced the Dragon Clan race!"
The Ice Dragon King turned and shouted at her:
"Losing face is better than losing your life. You've been dead for so many years, do you want to die again? No way!"
She turned back, looked up at Bai Guyue, tears still glistening in her eyes, but her expression shifted rapidly, becoming ingratiating:
"My little benefactor? Look, I haven't done anything wrong. I only said a few words, I didn't actually do anything. You're so magnanimous, could you please plead with the Destruction God King on my behalf?"
Bai Guyue looked down at the tear-streaked face, remained silent for two seconds, then looked up at the God of Destruction:
"Senior, what... what should we do?"
The God of Destruction stared at the Ice Dragon King for a long while, his lips twitching almost imperceptibly, before his expression returned to its cold indifference. "Release him first."
"I won't let go!" The Ice Dragon King hugged him even tighter. "You have to promise not to kill me first!"
The Fire Dragon King covered his face.
"If that doesn't work, you can kill the Fire Dragon King, but you can't kill me. I didn't lay a hand on you from beginning to end."
The Fire Dragon King was extremely displeased. "Ice Dragon King, you have utterly disgraced our Dragon Clan! Look at your groveling manner!"
She never dreamed that the Ice Dragon King would beg for mercy; it was utterly humiliating. How could he have perished alongside her?
The Ice Dragon King said nonchalantly, "It doesn't matter. It's better than dying. You're so concerned with saving face that you'd rather suffer than die. Go ahead and die, but don't drag me down with you. I don't want to die."
The Fire Dragon King was also in a dilemma; it seemed he needed to reconsider.
If these two Dragon Kings are used properly, they will greatly enhance Bai Guyue's abilities. After all, they were once Dragon Kings, so they still have considerable resources.
