Dugu Yan overwhelmed Dai Mubai and then defeated Tang San in their Soul Fights, despite his attempt to trap her with Blue Silver Grass and attack with the Zhuge Crossbow. She poisoned him so severely that he lost control of his bowels and bladder in front of the onlookers.

• Dai Mubai charged Dugu Yan, but her poisonous mist stopped him, shattered his protection barrier, and sent him flying off the platform.
• Dugu Yan taunted Tang San, who took Dai Mubai's place and planned to restrain her with Blue Silver Grass before firing his Zhuge Crossbow.
• Tang San tried to evade the poisonous mist until it weakened, but Dugu Yan's mist persisted and trapped him near the edge of the platform.
• Tang San fired the Zhuge Crossbow, but Dugu Yan blocked the bolts with her Eight Spider Lances and struck him off the platform.
• Dugu Yan's poison caused Tang San intense abdominal pain and made him lose control of his bowels and bladder as Xiao Wu and the others recoiled.

After Dugu Yan poisoned Tang San and left him bedridden, Shrek's leaders planned to capture her for an antidote. Tang Hao appeared and offered to deal with Dugu Bo, revealing his overwhelming strength as a Titled Douluo.

• Oscar and the others brought Tang San back from the Soul Fighting Arena, where Dugu Yan had poisoned him with her Eight Spider Lances.
• Yu Xiaogang and Flender arranged for Tang San to be cleaned up, while he endured severe pain and humiliation.
• The next day, Tang San overheard students mocking him and blaming the courtyard's stench on his defeat, then angrily cursed Dugu Yan.
• Several days later, Yu Xiaogang proposed capturing Dugu Yan to make her cure Tang San, Dai Mubai, and Ma Hongjun.
• Tang Hao appeared and told Shrek's leaders to bring Dugu Yan back, promising to handle Dugu Bo himself.
• Tang Hao revealed nine Soul Rings, including a Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring, silencing Zhao Wuji and stunning Flender.

Zhao Wuji ambushed Xiao Xuan and Dugu Yan on the road to Sunset Forest, intending to take Dugu Yan back to cure Tang San and the others. Xiao Xuan killed Zhao Wuji with his Bamboo Spear, leaving Dugu Yan stunned by his strength.

• Yu Xiaogang persuaded Flender and Zhao Wuji to trust Tang Hao and proceed with their plan to deal with Dugu Yan’s poison.
• Zhao Wuji stopped Xiao Xuan and Dugu Yan outside Heaven Dou City and demanded that Dugu Yan return with him to cure Tang San and the others.
• Xiao Xuan stepped in to protect Dugu Yan and struck Zhao Wuji hard enough to send him flying and wound his palm.
• Zhao Wuji activated his Immovable Bright King Body, but Xiao Xuan pierced through his defense and killed him with the Bamboo Spear.
• Dugu Yan stared in shock at Zhao Wuji’s body and asked Xiao Xuan if he had really killed a Soul Saint.

Xiao Xuan’s Purple Firmament Lightning Bamboo transformed into the Divine Bamboo of Destruction, while his Head Soul Bone completed its evolution into the Eye of Creation. He tested the eye’s perception and named his two completed Martial Souls.

• As Zhao Wuji lay fallen, Xiao Xuan sensed his Martial Soul’s life force and the remaining Law of Life separating, and asked Dugu Yan to guard him during the transformation.
• Xiao Xuan guided the forces apart as the Purple Firmament Lightning Bamboo shed its life energy and formed a long, bladed spearhead infused with destructive power.
• Xiao Xuan named the transformed spear the Divine Bamboo of Destruction after its lightning strike split the ground and sliced through rocks.
• The final golden energy entered Xiao Xuan’s brow, causing his Head Soul Bone to merge with its stored life force and his Spiritual Power to form a vertical eye.
• Xiao Xuan opened the golden eye and found that it let him perceive his surroundings and direct his Spiritual Power; he named his Second Martial Soul the Eye of Creation.

After his Second Martial Soul awakened, Xiao Xuan received the Destruction God’s First Trial: to act on his thoughts and repay even the slightest grievance. He and Dugu Yan went to confront Shrek, where they presented Zhao Wuji’s corpse and faced the shocked academy leaders.

• Xiao Xuan’s two godhood inheritance marks lit up, and he received the Destruction God’s First Trial.
• Xiao Xuan decided to put Soul Hunting aside and settle the score with Shrek, while Dugu Yan agreed to go with him.
• At Blue Tyrant Academy, Flender and Yu Xiaogang waited for Zhao Wuji and discussed making Dugu Yan detoxify Tang San, Dai Mubai, and Ma Hongjun.
• Dugu Yan and Xiao Xuan forced their way through the academy grounds and confronted Liu Erlong, Flender, and Yu Xiaogang.
• Xiao Xuan threw Zhao Wuji’s corpse before the Shrek leaders, and Flender realized Zhao Wuji was dead and demanded to know who had killed him.
