Upon hearing that devilish voice, Ebisu shuddered. Then, very obediently, he took out his wallet.
Turning around with tears in his eyes, he pleaded, "I'm begging you, rob someone else. You can even go rob Iruka instead!"
Naruto burst out laughing at the sight of him and casually accepted his wallet. "Iruka is my actual teacher. How could I bear to rob him?"
"Besides, I really wasn't planning to rob your money this time. But since you handed it over so readily, I'll gladly take it."
Ebisu's expression instantly turned ugly.
"If you weren't going to rob my money, why did you call me?"

"I just wanted to find Konohamaru. He promised me before that he'd take me on a big heist."
Ebisu let out a long breath and rubbed his hands together. "In that case, can you give my wallet back now?"
Naruto shot him a sidelong glance and held up two fingers.
Ebisu immediately trembled. "Forget it, you can have the wallet. There wasn't much money in it anyway!"
Naruto only smiled and said nothing as he dashed away.
"Konohamaru, wait!"
Konohamaru's ears twitched. Hearing that it was not Ebisu calling him, he slowly stopped.
When he turned around and saw Naruto chasing after him, he was immediately overjoyed.
"Master, you finally came to find me!"
Naruto landed in front of him with a mischievous grin. "You said last time that you wanted to pull off a big heist with me. When are we doing it?"
Konohamaru chuckled and leaned closer.
"Let me tell you, the other day I saw Grandpa carrying a really thick stack of silver notes in his pocket!"
"If you let me become your disciple, I'll find a way to lure him out. You seal his acupoints, and the silver notes will naturally belong to the two of us."
Naruto's eyes widened in disbelief. "You want to rob the Third Hokage? Are you crazy?!"
Konohamaru snorted. "Who told him to force me to study ninjutsu all day?"
"Just tell me whether you're in or not. If you are, we'll act now. We split the loot thirty-seventy, with thirty for me and seventy for you."
"But there's one condition: you have to let me become your disciple."

In an instant, the wooden stake that had appeared beside the Third Hokage vanished and struck Naruto instead.
