Luke confronted Namor’s threat, took command of the war effort, and expanded S.H.I.E.L.D.’s power while secretly joining Hydra through a proposed merger. As Atlantis invaded, Captain America led the defense of Boston and Luke’s forces prepared to face the next attacks.

• Luke warned The President that New York would not fall, then went to the Second Fleet and confronted Namor at sea, defeating the Kraken before Sebastian Shaw escaped with Namor.
• After Namor returned to Atlantis, he killed the nobles who opposed him and ordered war on the Land World, while Luke was appointed to lead the U.S. war plan and secured major authority and resources for S.H.I.E.L.D.
• Luke reunited with Rogers and recruited him to the Invasion Team, while Howard developed a nuclear reactor for the submarine Nautilus.
• Luke engineered suspicion between Sebastian Shaw and Emma, then convinced Dr. Zola to join him in merging Hydra and S.H.I.E.L.D. as Hydra-Shield.
• As Atlantean forces attacked U.S. cities, Luke briefed The President on how to counter them and presented a proposal for a World Security Council.
• Luke visited the Ancient One at the New York Sanctum, made a bet about his preparations for the war, and gained her permission to study magic at Kamar-Taj.
• While Luke watched from the Sanctum, Rogers rallied U.S. troops in Boston and led them against the Orca Corps, and the Ancient One identified Philadelphia as the next threat.
• Stryker sent the mutant squad to counter the Seahorse Legion in Philadelphia, ordering Kayla to control its hidden commander as Wolverine and Sabretooth clashed.

Luke forced Atlantis into negotiations, stopped Namor and Sebastian Shaw from using the Continental Shelf Shaker, and reshaped the political response to Mutants. The story left Luke preparing Rogers for a mission to Siberia and overseeing Logan and Victor’s Adamantium experiments.

• Luke and his allies struck Atlantean forces, then used the threat of Valkyrie Missiles to push Namor toward negotiations.
• Luke confronted Namor at Liberty Island and demanded Sebastian Shaw’s surrender, but Shaw persuaded Namor to activate the Continental Shelf Shaker instead.
• Luke removed the Celestial armor from the Lost City, defeated Namor, and arrested him, while Sebastian Shaw escaped.
• Luke pursued Shaw to London and defeated him after Selene attacked with magic and Shaw fled to a dam base.
• Luke secured Namor’s handover for a joint trial and pressured Emma Frost to represent Mutants at the Paris Peace Summit.
• Luke arranged the summit in Paris, appointed himself as its representative, and learned that Rogers would join a mission to find Bucky in Siberia.
• Luke discovered that Logan and Victor had volunteered for the Weapon X program, then oversaw their Adamantium injections and stopped Victor’s procedure halfway through.
• Logan revived with Adamantium claws and attacked the laboratory, but Luke knocked Victor unconscious and Logan regained control.

Luke arranged Mutant cooperation and negotiated at the Paris Peace Summit while helping Howard survive a Vampire attack. He then pursued Alexander Corvinus’s bloodline, confronted the Werewolves, and offered Lucian a chance to avenge Sonia.

• Luke showed Howard his fusion reactor design, discussed powered armor, and attended his promotion ceremony before meeting Emma and proposing a public-image campaign for Mutants.
• Luke redirected the President’s matchmaking efforts toward Howard, then traveled with Howard to Paris, where Zheng Xian asked S.H.I.E.L.D. to help find the five traitors who had founded The Hand.
• Luke addressed the Peace Summit and helped Howard secure Atlantean technology, while Mister Sinister and Selene discussed their plans concerning Luke and Mutants.
• Howard pursued Lania in Paris, and Luke rescued him when she revealed herself as a Vampire and attacked him.
• Luke explained the supernatural history to Howard and Serena, then told Serena that her family owed its protection to Alexander Corvinus.
• Luke and Howard entered the Paris sewers to seek the Werewolves, and Luke tore Taylor apart when he charged at him.
• Luke confronted Lucian with the truth about Sonia, her unborn child, and Lucian’s dealings with Kraven, then offered to help him take revenge on Victor.

Luke destroyed Victor, reshaped the Corvinus family’s future, and began investigating Conqueror Kang after helping the Sanctums. His investigation led him to expose the Blood Clan Council, whose elders revealed a White House scheme to create a new Progenitor.

• Lucian allied with Luke and Serena against Victor, and Luke killed Victor after Serena swore loyalty to him.
• Luke negotiated with Alexander Corvinus to unite Vampires and Werewolves under the Magical Congress, then Serena defeated Marcus and took charge of the Corvinus forces.
• Luke went to Kamar-Taj, studied magic, and learned that Conqueror Kang might have entered their world through time travel.
• Luke recruited Nick Fury, then told Howard Stark that Kang might be hiding in the White House and impersonating The President.
• Luke and Fury infiltrated John Stillman’s Red Wine Club, where Luke uncovered the Blood Clan Council’s blood-drinking operation and killed its surviving members.
• Luke let Gettarlo escape so he would lead them to the Blood Clan Council, then flew off to investigate the suspected Kang while Fury went to find Howard.
• Gettarlo warned four elders that Luke had discovered their activities, and they revealed their White House alliance aimed to obtain a Vampire god’s essence blood and create a new Progenitor.
