You're faster than you were three days ago
On his sixth day as an adventurer, Lin Yuan entered the Dungeon after dawn.
The first eight levels had already left spatial traces. He no longer needed to refer to a map to find the way; he simply followed the route he had confirmed yesterday and quickly arrived at the ninth level.
From this point onward, the size and number of monsters increase.
Two orcs blocked the passage ahead, their thick arms almost touching the walls on either side. Further away, several lesser demons flew close to the cave ceiling, preparing to attack from above.
Lin Yuan did not draw his sword.
As the first orc swung its club, he stepped forward into attack range and struck the monster in the abdomen with his right fist. The massive body was lifted off the ground and crashed backward into another orc.
Using the momentum, Lin Yuan leaped up, landing on the small demons that were pouncing from above. Several monsters crashed to the ground simultaneously, their necks snapping the moment they made contact.
His strength and speed were even greater than on his first day in the Dungeon.
The improvement wasn't enough to change the outcome of the battle, but it was clearly reflected in every exertion of force. The same movements took less time, and the body could withstand more sudden turns.
This is the growth brought about by Falna.
Lin Yuan took out the magic stone and continued recording the route downwards.
The tenth floor is shrouded in a light white mist year-round, significantly limiting visibility. Ordinary adventurers can only rely on footsteps and monster roars to judge danger, but Lin Yuan's spatial perception is unaffected by the mist.
He avoided two fighting groups and headed to the eleventh level through another passage. The orcs and imps he encountered along the way did not keep him occupied for long.
Upon reaching the twelfth floor, a familiar whooshing sound suddenly came from ahead.
A silverback ape flew backward from a side path and crashed into the wall. A golden sword light followed closely behind, accurately slicing through the monster's throat. The silverback ape fell to the ground and never got up again.
Ais emerged from the side path and saw Lin Yuan just as she sheathed her sword.
She skillfully removed the magic stone, and the silverback ape's corpse immediately turned into black ash.
"You've reached the twelfth floor."
"We're going to confirm the middle-level entrance today."
Ais glanced at the baggage on his back. "Alone?"
"Shallow levels don't need teams."
She didn't try to stop him. Lin Yuan's strength on the thirty-seventh floor was far more convincing than the monsters on the twelfth floor.
Since their routes were temporarily aligned, they proceeded together. Ais did not lead the way, nor did Lin Yuan follow her in choosing a direction. Whenever they encountered a fork in the road, he would stop for a moment, use his spatial awareness to determine the surrounding structure, and then compare it with the map.
"The left side is a dead end," Lin Yuan said.
Ais unfolded her map and discovered that the left passage was indeed only half-marked, with no exit at the end.
"Can you see behind the wall?"
"Able to perceive spatial structure within a certain range."
Lin Yuan chose the right-hand passage. Just as several armored beasts emerged from the wall, he had already drawn Nameless.
The sword light flashed continuously through the gaps between the monsters' carapaces. The last armored beast tried to shrink its body, and Lin Yuan changed the angle of his grip on the sword, striking its exposed head with the hilt.
The battle ended quickly.
Ais, however, did not immediately look away.
You're faster than you were three days ago.
Three days ago, during a special assessment, she had watched Lin Yuan undergo an agility test. Now, his range of motion remained unchanged, but the pause between initiating a movement and swinging his sword had shortened.
"The Falna is strengthening my body."
"Already very strong, can you still become stronger?"
"It seems feasible at the moment."
Ais looked down at her hands. She had also gone through the growth process from Lv.1 after receiving the Falna, but she had never seen anyone undergo such a clear change in just a few days.
How did you do that?
"Fight, then let Hestia renew her Falna."
"That's all?"
"And there's the training and experience I've accumulated. But Falna won't directly convert the past into ability points."
Ais still didn't get a complete answer.
Upon reaching the entrance to the thirteenth floor, the two parted ways. Ais prepared to continue downwards, while Lin Yuan needed to complete the route they had confirmed that day before returning to the ground as agreed.
When the nighttime Falna is refreshed, the ability value steadily increases again.
Strength: F 345
Durability: F 308
Dexterity: E 421
Agility: E 468
Magic Power: E 443
Hestia stopped asking if the numbers were written incorrectly.
She simply finished copying the status sheet and stared at the highest agility score for a long time.
