Drive Him Out
In front of the church, dozens of members of the Apollo Familia simultaneously drew their weapons.
The leading man raised his spear, the tip pointing at Lin Yuan.
"Lord Apollo is willing to give you another choice. Leave the Hestia Familia and come back with us."
"Get out of the way," Lin Yuan said.
It seems you haven't figured out your situation yet.
The man raised his arm. The archers on the roof immediately drew their bows, and the mages hidden behind them began to chant.
Hestia stepped forward angrily. "This is our home!"
The first arrow has already left the bow.
Lin Yuan raised his left hand, and the space in front of the arrows suddenly veered. More than a dozen arrows changed direction in mid-air and all embedded themselves in the open spaces on both sides of the street. The fireballs that followed were also deflected upwards and exploded one after another in the night sky.
He left Hestia behind and walked alone towards the crowd surrounding the church.
The spear thrust at them from the front.
Lin Yuan dodged the spear tip, his hand landing on the shaft. The sturdy wooden shaft snapped instantly. He took a step forward, his shoulder colliding with the man holding the gun in the chest.
The man's feet left the ground, and he knocked several of his companions backward.
More people rushed in from both sides.
Lin Yuan did not draw his Nameless. He weaved through the gaps between the swords, striking each person's joints and abdomen with his fists, palms, and the scabbard in turn. The Apollo Familia members could not even see his movements, only witnessing their companions falling one after another.
The archer on the rooftop was about to fire another arrow when the space beneath his feet suddenly shifted.
Several people lost their balance and fell from the roof, only to be transported to an open space by a folding space before reaching the ground. No one died from the fall, but none of them were able to continue fighting.
In less than a minute, there were no enemies left standing outside the church.
Lin Yuan walked up to the man who had spoken first.
"Go back and tell Apollo that next time he comes near here with weapons, I won't let you stay for just one night."
The man clutched his chest and led the still-mobile person away in a disheveled state.
Hestia finished inspecting the church and found that not a single pane of glass had been broken.
But Apollo did not stop.
The next day, Lin Yuan and Hestia went to the guild together to report the attack the previous night. Shortly after they left, several exploding magic stones were thrown into the abandoned church from a distance.
Eina has recorded the entire testimony from last night, and the guild has also notified the Ganesha Familia, who are responsible for maintaining order. Apollo, however, denies giving the order to attack, insisting that those people acted on their own because Hyakinthos was injured. There were no casualties on either side, and the guild can only ask Apollo to restrain the Familia members for the time being.
Flames engulfed the roof, and the already dilapidated walls collapsed one after another. The basement was not completely destroyed, but the tables, chairs, beds, and the couple's newly acquired belongings were all buried in the rubble.
When Lin Yuan rushed back, nearby residents were carrying buckets of water to put out the fire.
He stood in front of the collapsed church, without saying a word.
This wasn't Fairy Tail, nor was it his real home where he had lived for many years. Yet, Hestia first said "Welcome back" to him in this cramped basement.
That same afternoon, the potato ball stand was also attacked.
The shop owner, having been warned beforehand, was unharmed, but his stall was smashed to Crush. The Apollo Familia left no evidence, only a sun emblem drawn on a nearby wall.
The guild has sent people to investigate, but it will take time to reach a conclusion. Apollo, on the other hand, sent a new message—as long as Hestia accepts the War Game, all attacks will immediately cease.
"I'm going to his mansion." Lin Yuan looked at the emblem. "Tonight, I can wipe out the Apollo Familia."
"No."
Hestia out and grabbed his wrist.
"If you storm Apollo's mansion now, he'll portray himself as the victim. Even if you defeat everyone, he won't admit defeat."
Lin Yuan looked down at her. "So you're going to accept?"
"He thought that having more people meant he would definitely win, and he thought that destroying your residence would force me to hand you over."
Hestia turned around and looked at the still-smoking church. Her usually vibrant face was devoid of any smile.
"Then, according to the rules of the War Game, defeat him before all the gods and adventurers."
"If Apollo uses you as a wager, I will also propose my own terms."
Hestia clenched her fists.
"After we win, everything belonging to the Apollo Familia will be ours."
As for Apollo--
She raised her head, her blue eyes burning with a furious rage.
"Drive him out of Orario."
