The War Took Only One Strike

The black and silver sky fell.

There was no flame, and no explosion.

The space above the fortress was compressed in an instant, and the distance between the sky and the earth suddenly shortened. An invisible pressure enveloped both inside and outside the city walls, and the first thing to fall was not rocks, but the bodies of all the Apollo Familia.

The archer slammed his knees against the city wall, his longbow falling from his hands. The mage's unfinished incantation was replaced by a muffled groan, his entire body pressed against the ground, unable even to lift a finger.

The heavily armed troops behind the city gate raised their shields, attempting to withstand the pressure by supporting each other.

The next moment, the metal shield dented simultaneously.

The neat formation seemed to be crushed by an invisible giant hand. The sound of armor hitting the ground was continuous, and dozens of adventurers were pressed down behind the city gate, unable to stand up again.

"Hold on!"

Hyakinthos plunged his longsword into the ground of the main tower and gripped the hilt with both hands.

As a Level 3, he lasted longer than the other members. Yet his legs continued to bend, and the stone slab beneath his feet crumbled inch by inch. The Falna covering his body could not offset the weight of the space itself, and blood quickly seeped from his ten fingers gripping the sword.

Lin Yuan pressed his palm down again.

The dark silver sky then lowered by one point.

The fortress roared deafeningly. The four arrow towers began to crack from the top, and dense cracks appeared on the surface of the city wall. The sun flag on the main tower was torn and fluttered by the turbulent air currents.

The stone slab beneath Hyakinthos's feet completely collapsed.

He knelt in the pit, his longsword broken into several pieces, his body finally unable to withstand the pressure, and he lost consciousness.

Of the 117 defenders, not one was able to continue fighting.

Orario remained eerily silent.

The adventurers gathered before the Divine Mirror even forgot to cheer. Those who had personally experienced the defeat of the floor master and witnessed advanced True Magic could not classify the scene before them as common sense. No army charged onto the city walls, and there was no attack or defense that lasted for hours. Only one person stood outside the city, causing the entire fortress and all the defenders to bow down at the same time.

The gods weren't much better off. Several gods who had just been discussing how long it would take Apollo to win were now so engrossed in their drinks that they forgot to put them down. Loki stared at the True Magic traces that almost covered the fortress, unable for the first time to hide his seriousness with a joke.

The dark silver sky hovered above the fortress before dissipating into countless points of light. The blocked sunlight returned to the earth, leaving only fallen adventurers and cracked buildings in the city.

No one died.

Lin Yuan's several attempts on the seventeenth floor ensured that the power of the True Magic stopped precisely at the point of destroying resistance.

The healers and adjudicators stationed outside the battlefield quickly rushed into the city. They found that most people were simply stunned by the pressure, a few had fractures and internal injuries, but no one had lost vital signs.

He took a step forward, and the distance in front of him was instantly folded away.

Lin Yuan crossed the broken city wall and appeared at the top of the main tower. The flagpole of the Rising Sun Flag had broken in the middle and was falling from the top of the tower. He reached out and grabbed the flag, tearing the sun, which symbolized the Apollo Familia, down from the top.

The Ganesha Familia member in charge of the ruling was still looking up at the sky.

It wasn't until Lin Yuan threw the flag at his feet that he finally reacted and raised the flag representing the Hestia Familia.

"The siege is over!"

"The victors are the Hestia Familia!"

The sound traveled throughout Orario through the Divine Mirror.

From the start of the war until the capture of the Rising Sun Flag, Lin Yuan only unleashed one attack True Magic.

Inside the observation room, Apollo dropped his wine glass. The wine spilled all over his clothes, but he didn't lower his head. He just stared intently at Lin Yuan, who stood alone atop the tower in the mirror.

In another room, Hestia first raised her arms high, then rushed out of the room.

At the top of the Tower of Babel, Freya still stood by the window.

She can see souls.

The moment Lin Yuan unleashed his magic, the soul that had already captivated her gaze suddenly burst forth. Its radiance pierced the night sky formed by the black and silver magic, shining even brighter than the reappearing sun.

The initial curiosity has faded.

Freya pressed her hand to her chest, feeling the palpitations that even the gods could not quell, and for the first time, an undisguised possessiveness appeared in her silver-gray eyes.

I want him.

On the day the War Game ended, the bet began to be executed.

The Apollo Familia was officially disbanded, and all its assets were transferred to Hestia. Apollo himself left Orario under the supervision of the guild and was never allowed to return to the Labyrinth City.

In the evening, Lin Yuan and Hestia stood in front of the mansion where Apollo once lived.

The spacious courtyard, multi-story main building, and numerous empty rooms were completely different from the church basement that the two men had burned down.

Hestia looked up for a while, then suddenly turned around and hugged Lin Yuan.

"From today onwards, this will be the home of the Hestia Familia."
