Time passed slowly, the sun rose and the moon set, and the Vampire clan fully recovered from top to bottom, while the Werewolf regained their transformations and other extraordinary powers.
Myths, sealed away for millennia and long forgotten, are finally beginning to unfold before humanity with Norton's resurgence.
Whether it will once again fill the entire Garden of Eden and cause catastrophic disasters as it did a thousand years ago is entirely up to the true progenitor of this resurrection, the God of the Garden of Eden, Norton.
However, these are not things Norton needs to consider right now.
He has imposed some restrictions on Vampire, and now Vampire below the first generation can only stay around His Majesty Norton. Although they no longer work day and night, their current situation is far worse than before.
Norton is currently pursuing a path of development and has no immediate intention of causing a cholera outbreak... He seems to have been genuinely moved by Kuba and Karl. Although he now calls himself the God of the Garden of Eden, his every word and action has a restraining effect on the Vampire race.
As for the real reason...
The scorching sun baked the earth.
The blinding sunlight spilled from the golden sun, shining on His Majesty Norton, who sat regally on a chaise lounge in the palace gardens.
Norton now has a slender and perfect figure, with a delicate, sculpted face. His pale skin appears as smooth and delicate as jade under the golden sun, and his long, pure white hair is draped lazily around the chaise lounge and scattered on the ground. Under the sunlight, he looks like God bathing in the sun, filled with endless holiness and nobility.
However, her delicate brows were slightly furrowed, as if she were somewhat troubled.
"Ha!"
Norton quietly savored the blood wine in his glass, uttering a few words of reflection.
That's right, he can now eat normal food.
Perhaps it was because he broke through Kuba's limitations that he was no longer bound by the old-fashioned rules of Vampire. Just as sunbathing and not being burned by God's holiness are similar to how he can now taste normal food without having to rely solely on blood to survive.
However, the rich aroma of the blood remains unforgettable, especially when paired with the blood of a virgin and the wines of the Southern Continent that have been improved over a thousand years, creating an unparalleled flavor.
He seems to have reached the pinnacle, the extreme of Garden of Eden.
This is excellent news. It means that he is no longer restricted by Kuba, Shenyin, or Jonah. Norton, on the level of flesh and blood, has now surpassed them by one level, becoming the only one in Garden of Eden to possess a divine body that God once used. No one in the entire Garden of Eden can control him anymore.
But this is also extremely bad news.
Because his flesh and blood had reached their end, there was no longer any path to advance further.
Now he frowns slightly because his body can no longer feel the exhilarating feeling of growth that he once experienced over the years.
"I have reached the end of flesh and blood. According to Kuba, even the true God can only create such a flesh and blood body. So how can I, Norton, advance further?"
Norton looked worried, feeling that his future was bleak.
In the past, when he was able to grow, he had no worries. Now that he has reached his peak and has completely stopped growing, it has made him somewhat anxious.
"Now, none of God's creations can be my enemy. I have become the true God in this Garden of Eden... But I have truly witnessed God's power. That boundless power terrifies me. If one day he fails to achieve his desires and becomes truly tyrannical, this Garden of Eden can be destroyed in an instant. I, Norton, can only be caught in the crossfire, turning to ashes, or becoming a true wrathful being, to be manipulated at will."
Alas... humans are indeed insatiable. I have just ascended to the highest realm, becoming the true god of Garden of Eden, and now instead of enjoying life, I begin to worry about that boundless God. This is truly contrary to what I once thought... and I am nothing but a slave to fear."
Norton downed the blood-red wine in one gulp, and then the exquisite glass shattered on the ground.
"But as the saying goes, when the sky falls, the tall ones will hold it up. Now I, Norton, am already the tallest. Above me is God. If I don't worry, when God descends, he'll be the first one to strangle me!"
Norton felt that this world was absolutely fucked up.
He might as well be a proper missionary; at least he wouldn't have to worry about God or anything like that.
Although he has achieved great success, God has become a heavy burden on his heart.
And the discomfort doesn't stop there.
If he could still grow now, even if the growth is slow, he wouldn't be so anxious. Maybe in a few years, he could really challenge God.
But what pains him most is that he can no longer grow, he's frozen in time, and he can never surpass God.
"If God exists in this world, then the power system has not yet reached its end... How should I choose to continue advancing?"
Could it be like the novels of my past life, where faith is used to become a god? Or perhaps it's about seizing God's title in the Garden of Eden to steal power?
Back then, Kuba could see that my soul wasn't native, so why can't I see a soul now?
Logically, my soul possesses unique characteristics, transcending the limitations of God's Existence Level, which should make me a true contender against God. However, I still struggle to sense souls, and this world seems to lack any means for soul advancement. Even Kuba's attack on the Vampire's soul utilized mechanisms established by God, without any truly effective methods to damage the soul... Does this mean God has blocked all paths forward, leaving me, Norton, with no possibility of further advancement?
Alas... what should I, Norton, do now?
Could it be that they are actually using my body to distort concepts, replacing God's name with my own in Norton's name, in an attempt to steal authority?
Or perhaps they are using my ability to create things from flesh and blood to attempt to merge with the flesh and blood of all things in Garden of Eden, thereby stealing power?
However, the first of these two methods has yet to materialize and seems utterly hopeless.
The second method, however, is not a true means of ascension. It involves fusing all things with my flesh and blood to steal God's authority. It's merely a clever trick used against Kuba, employing the demotion of all other species to highlight my Existence Level. In reality, my Existence Level remains unchanged...
What exactly is the opportunity for advancement...?
