"Humans haven't attacked us yet. Asking that Great Star Region Civilization for help now will only invite more ridicule. Bi Cha, move the antimatter star out of the way. If humans make a move, detonate the antimatter star."
"Summit."
"Go and do it."
" Xuan Star Civilization, Xuan Star Civilization, we are the human fleet. We are here on orders to assist you in eliminating the Zerg swarm. Please hold on; we will arrive in three months."
Just as Bi Cha was preparing to remove the Space Barrier defenses and move the antimatter star outwards, the Reaper's information was received by satellite equipment along the way and simultaneously transmitted to the center of the Xuan Star Civilization's territory.
"The leader, so it really is human!!!"
"I never imagined our reunion would turn out like this."
"Leadership, isn't it ridiculous that humans say they'll help us wipe out the Zerg swarm?"
"Sigh, why are humans the ones who came?"
"Does the leader believe what humans say?"
" Bi Cha, humanity is now Small Star Sector Civilization. Even if they're bold, they wouldn't dare attack us where the Zerg swarm has descended," Feng Ye said from the side.
"No matter what, I can't trust humans. I've dealt with them many times. They're strange, cunning, and cunning, with all sorts of conspiracies and tricks. They'll stop at nothing to achieve their goals. Last time, they caused the deaths of hundreds of billions of people just to create a spatial vortex. But thinking about it, I actually admire humans a little. Who else could do something like that?"
" Bi Cha, although we have a deep-seated hatred for humanity, this is not the time to act rashly. For the sake of our people, we should not be so arrogant. Feng Long and Ji Wa were too arrogant and could not bear the slightest setback, ultimately choosing to commit suicide. In the end, it was civilization that suffered. If humanity really comes to help us eliminate the Zerg swarm, I am willing to accept their help. At least they will not ridicule us like that Great Star Region Civilization did."
"So we're just going to ignore the feud between us and humanity?"
" Bi Cha, don't be rude!" Feng Ye reminded him.
"It's alright, it's alright. I've thought about this a lot over the years. Even if we don't meet humans now, we'll still meet them when we reach the defense line. Why not take this opportunity to settle things once and for all, so we won't have to be wary of each other while we're at the defense line?"
"How does the leader plan to resolve this?"
"I'm still considering it. Let's wait until we get through this difficult time. But, Bi Cha, you still need to be fully prepared in case humans take the opportunity to attack us or do anything underhanded."
"Yes, Master, I want to test the feasibility of moving the antimatter star to the outer edge of the swarm now, so that we'll have some room to fight back should humanity turn against us."
"Try it, I'll take full responsibility."
Under Ji Wa's arrangement, in a direction where the Zerg swarm was relatively sparse, 5 million warships suddenly closed their Space Barrier and retreated into the defensive perimeter. A large gap immediately appeared in the defensive perimeter. The warships outside the defensive perimeter were prepared in advance, but faced with the entanglement of the Zerg swarm, even the most meticulous preparations would be disrupted.
Once the outer warships filled the gaps in the defense perimeter, billions of insects had already entered the perimeter through the breaches. The 5 million warships that had previously retreated into the perimeter still had some energy, and they immediately engaged the insect swarm in close combat. After losing hundreds of thousands of warships, they finally eliminated the insects that had entered the perimeter.
Fortunately, the civilian ships were evacuated to the other side of the encirclement beforehand, far away from the swarm. If a civilian ship were attacked by the swarm, it would mean the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians. And this was only after 5 million warships closed the Space Barrier, and other warships were immediately filling the gaps. If the antimatter star were to be moved out, at least 500 million warships would be needed to close the Space Barrier, and the time it would take for the star to emerge from inside would be much longer than it is now.
The breach in the defense perimeter lasted for less than ten seconds. It would take much longer for the antimatter star to be transported out. By then, the number of insects that would enter the defense perimeter would not be billions, but tens of billions, or even hundreds of billions, leading to even greater losses for the people.
"Chief, the operation has failed. The swarm is too fast and too powerful. If we move the antimatter star out, hundreds of billions of swarms might enter the defensive perimeter."
"Forget it, let's not try anymore. Even if we bring out the antimatter star, we might not be able to deal with the current human fleet. We're already at a disadvantage. Let's not risk the lives of our people for now. Let's choose to trust humanity," the Xuan Star Civilization said weakly.
The Reaper had reached the outer edge of the Zerg swarm and stopped, maintaining a safe distance to avoid affecting the Xuan Star Civilization fleet. Upon seeing the Reaper's arrival, the Zerg swarm immediately diverted half of its forces to fly towards the Reaper, baring its fangs and claws.
Only from the Reaper's perspective can one truly appreciate the magnificence of the swarm; the entire starry sky has been taken over by the swarm, their sheer numbers overwhelming the light of the stars.
Giant worms leaped and scurried across the starry sky like a chaotic dance of demons. The Reaper had already formed an attack formation, and these steel weapons that reaped life had completed their energy charging, revealing the dark and deep muzzles of their enormous spatial cannons.
With an attack command given, the Reaper roared, unleashing a hundred billion death waves that shredded the swarming insects into mincemeat with devastating force.
The Stinger Kinetic Impact Ship surged forth, weaving through the swarm of insects and leaving antimatter inside them. The insects, now imbued with antimatter, suddenly swelled up like balloons, followed by a gush of bodily fluids and shattered organs from the wounds pierced by the Stinger. The insects were then propelled into a tumbling motion through the air by the reaction force.
This scene unfolded everywhere outside the encirclement of the Xuan Star Civilization. In the densest areas of the swarm, the Reaper had already engaged in close combat with the swarm. The insects were completely unable to do anything to the Reversed State Armor and could only futilely busy themselves on the surface of the Reaper. In several other places, more than a dozen Insect King that had caused heavy losses to the Xuan Star Civilization fleet had been brought under control.
Having learned from the previous experience, this time the Reaper immediately released energy balls and conversion devices upon seeing the Insect King. Before more than a dozen Insect King could react, they were enveloped by the Reversed State, and no matter how much they struggled, they could not escape.
"Chief, humanity has far surpassed us," Bi Cha said, somewhat dejectedly.
"They are ahead of us in some ways. Our Space Barrier is a technology that comes into play later in the game, but this kind of human attack is clearly more effective against the Zerg swarm. The key is that their defense is too amazing," Feng Ye said.
"It seems the humans really came to our aid; their attacks didn't even affect our warships."
"Chief, I still don't completely trust humans. How did they suddenly appear here? Maybe these swarms of insects were brought here by them," Bi Cha said.
"It is somewhat of a coincidence, but it would be inaccurate to say that these insects were brought in by humans. Even the insect swarms raised by the Mu Star Civilization were brought in from the defense zone. Humans do not have the ability to directly bring in insects from the fourth dimension. If they had that ability, they would not need to go through all this trouble and could have simply attacked us directly."
