Ch. 261The Rise and Fall of the Lineage

Chen Mu intervened when the Yin Lineage tried to force Yin Jing into marriage and confronted Yin Zhan over his dispute with the Ma Lineage. After Yin Lirong agreed to Chen Mu’s challenge, Yin Fan attacked him with the Black Ape Tongbei Fist.

  • Yin Zhan offered to face Ma Haocheng in Xiliang City if the Yin Lineage would release Yin Jing, but Yin Lirong said the marriage was settled.
  • Yin Zhan defied the elders and fought Yin Lirong, who overpowered him until Chen Mu raised a stone wall to protect him.
  • Chen Mu proposed a bet: if the Yin Lineage defeated him, he would leave and pay them a hundred thousand fourth-grade spirit stones; if he won, they would let him take Yin Zhan and Yin Jing and hear his suggestion.
  • Yin Lirong accepted the bet, and Yin Fan stepped forward and attacked Chen Mu with the Black Ape Tongbei Fist.

Ch. 262All Things in Myriad Phenomena

Chen Mu defeated Yin Guang, Yin Fan, and Yin Lirong in a wagered fight using his Five Elements techniques, forcing the Yin Lineage to accept his victory. He then asked them to hear his suggestion in their sitting room, while Yin Zhan and Yin Jing marveled at his strength.

  • Yin Fan, Yin Guang, and Yin Lirong attacked Chen Mu, but his Five Elements Ring restrained them with vines and crushing gravity.
  • Yin Guang activated the Geng Metal Tiger Baleful Intent Formation and attacked Chen Mu with the Hegemon Blade, but Chen Mu blocked the slash with a rising mountain.
  • Chen Mu set the vines ablaze and formed fire blades that overwhelmed the three Yin Lineage cultivators.
  • Yin Fan admitted defeat first, and Yin Guang soon surrendered, so Chen Mu extinguished the flames and won the fight.
  • Yin Lirong agreed that Chen Mu could take Yin Zhan and Yin Jing, but Chen Mu asked Yin Lirong and Yin Guang to hear his suggestion in the sitting room.
  • Yin Jing and Yin Zhan questioned Zheng Fengdao about Chen Mu's strength, and Zheng Fengdao admitted that he had wanted to surprise them.

Ch. 263Migration Plan

Chen Mu urged the Yin Lineage to leave North Wind City rather than let the West Liang Ma Lineage gradually destroy them, and proposed that its main branch relocate to the Wilderness and join Chen Village. Yin Guang agreed to discuss the offer with the lineage before deciding.

  • At a gathering in the Yin Lineage's reception hall, Chen Mu warned Yin Guang that marrying Yin Jing to Ma Haobo would not protect the lineage from the Ma Lineage.
  • Chen Mu suggested relocating, but Yin Lirong argued that the Yin Lineage could not abandon its thousand-year foundation and had survived by staying out of conflicts.
  • Chen Mu warned that the West Liang Ma Lineage was using Yin Zhan's feud with Ma Haocheng as a pretext to weaken and eventually absorb the Yin Lineage.
  • Chen Mu proposed that the Yin Lineage join Chen Village in the Wilderness, and Yin Zhan and Yin Jing immediately supported the idea.
  • Yin Guang asked Chen Mu to explain the relocation plan, and Chen Mu offered to escort the main branch's twenty or thirty thousand members aboard flying ships to the Wilderness.
  • Yin Guang asked Chen Mu to stay overnight while he consulted the lineage, and Chen Mu agreed but urged him not to delay.

Ch. 264The Yin Lineage's Decision

The Yin Lineage agreed to relocate to the Wilderness after Yin Zhan explained Chen Mu’s plans and Yin Guang argued that staying in North Wind City meant a bleak future. As Ma Haobo prepared to marry Yin Jing, Yin Guang arranged to sell the lineage’s assets and escape the city during the wedding.

  • Yin Zhan reassured the Yin Lineage’s senior members that Chen Mu planned to expand into Yi Province within three years and that life under his protection would be better than remaining in North Wind City.
  • Yin Guang persuaded the senior members to relocate, and Yin Lirong withdrew his opposition.
  • Yin Guang ordered the main branch to prepare to leave and dismiss its household servants.
  • Ma Haobo learned that the Yin Lineage was selling its property and dismissed the concern, planning to explain his intentions after marrying Yin Jing.
  • The Yin Lineage sold most of its North Wind City assets to the Fang Lineage, and Yin Guang ordered the clan to seize a transport flying ship and flee when Ma Haobo came to receive the bride.

Ch. 265Spaceship Modification

Chen Mu and his allies converted Yin Lineage transport ships into combat-ready vessels while Yin Zhan and Yin Lirong prepared the lineage to evacuate. The chapter ended with Chen Mu beginning work on four more ships before their departure.

  • Yin Guang ambushed Ma Haobo at the Yin residence, killed his trusted aides, and beat him in revenge for his repeated humiliations.
  • Chen Duo and Chen Ju arrived with intelligent weapons, and Chen Mu began modifying the Yin Lineage's spaceships with help from Chen Ju and Zheng Fengdao.
  • Chen Mu strengthened the defenses of the ships while Chen Duo and Zheng Fengdao installed weapons on two others.
  • Yin Zhan told Chen Mu that the spaceship guards had been dealt with and that all the ships were available for use.
  • Chen Mu finished modifying the Yin Lineage's five ships and started work on four more, while Yin Zhan and Yin Lirong arranged to load the lineage's people and supplies.

Ch. 266North Wind City in Turmoil

Yin Guang led the Yin Lineage out of North Wind City, with Ma Haobo as a hostage, and boarded nine spaceships prepared by Chen Mu. When Zhong Wenle tried to stop their departure, Chen Mu defeated him and two Core Formation Realm experts, and the fleet set off for the Wilderness.

  • Yin Guang led tens of thousands of Yin Lineage members toward the spaceship square as Zhong Wenle and North Wind City guards moved to block them.
  • Yin Lirong presented the wounded, bound Ma Haobo, and Zhong Wenle let the Yin Lineage pass to avoid risking Ma Hongxian's eldest son.
  • Chen Mu and the Yin Lineage members boarded the nine modified spaceships, and Chen Mu assigned Chen Duo, Old Zheng, and Duoduo to pilot the armed ships.
  • As the fleet departed, Zhong Wenle and two Core Formation Realm subordinates tried to stop it and demanded Ma Haobo back.
  • Chen Mu summoned his Dharma Aspect True Body and knocked all three men from the sky, then told Yin Lirong to throw Ma Haobo down before the fleet continued toward the Wilderness.

Ch. 267Xing Le Falls to Demonic Corruption

Chen Mu's fleet headed south to collect the Yin Lineage's people, while Bomasha let the Heart Demon Emperor possess her and corrupted Xing Le into turning against Chen Village. The fleet reached the border camp, where Yin Guang reunited with Teng Yan.

  • Yin Lirong threw Ma Haobo from the ship, and Zhong Wenle caught him before he hit the ground.
  • Xing Le led millions of demonic beasts against Bomasha's Otherworldly Demon legion, but the Heart Demon Emperor took control of Bomasha and used her to cloud Xing Le's mind.
  • Bomasha persuaded Xing Le that the Temple would not help him against Chen Village, and he vowed to kill Chen Mu and destroy the village.
  • Bomasha ordered the Otherworldly Demons to withdraw and told Bomasha to intensify the offensive next month; Xing Le then sent the demonic beasts fleeing as well.
  • Yin Guang brought the fleet to the border camp to collect the Yin Lineage's people, where Teng Yan boarded and greeted Chen Mu.

Ch. 268Hegemon Cavalry

Chen Mu welcomed Yin Chunbing and the Hegemon Cavalry aboard his flying ship, then continued improving its Intelligent Weapon System during the journey south. Meanwhile, Ma Hongxian learned that the Yin Lineage had fled and offered their property and a county town to anyone who would destroy them.

  • Yin Zhan introduced his eldest sister, Yin Chunbing, to Chen Mu, and she acknowledged that her people had joined his command.
  • Chen Mu's nine flying ships formed up and began their long journey south with the Hegemon Cavalry aboard.
  • Chen Mu optimized the flying ship's Intelligent Weapon System and taught Chen Ju about its code.
  • Chen Mu gave Chen Ju data collection talismans to place throughout the ship so he could build a model of it.
  • Ma Hongxian received an urgent report about the Yin Lineage's escape and offered their property and a county town to anyone who wiped them out.

Ch. 269Falling Rosy Clouds City

Chen Mu led the Yin Lineage's fleet to Falling Rosy Clouds City to resupply, hoping to avoid the bounty hunters pursuing them. The city lord, Yan Beihai, recognized Yin Guang and refused to let the fleet enter.

  • Yin Guang told Chen Mu that the fleet was running low on spirit stones and supplies, and Chen Mu chose Falling Rosy Clouds City as their resupply stop.
  • Chen Mu told Chen Duo and Zheng Fengdao to prepare to enter the city and warned them to deal with the lord if he refused them.
  • The Yin Lineage's nine ships approached the city and presented a merchant caravan certificate to its air defense force.
  • Yan Beihai inspected the ships, recognized them as the Yin Lineage's fleet, and decided not to pursue Ma Hongxian's bounty.
  • Yan Beihai flew out to meet the fleet, identified Yin Guang, and ordered them to leave; Chen Mu recognized Yan Beihai as a Late Core Formation Realm cultivator and flew to confront him.

Ch. 270Spaceships Attack the City

Chen Mu demanded entry to Falling Rosy Clouds City for the migrating Yin Lineage, but Yan Beihai refused despite losing their brief duel. Chen Mu sent three spaceships equipped with modified intelligent weapons systems to test the city's defenses, and Chen Ju began a counterattack after two Cloud-Blasting shells struck Chen Mu's ship.

  • Chen Mu confronted Yan Beihai, defeated his Heaven-Overturning Seal, and was refused entry to Falling Rosy Clouds City.
  • Chen Mu told Yin Guang not to worry and signaled Chen Ju to deploy the modified weapons system.
  • Chen Ju, Chen Duo, and Zheng Fengdao took three armed spaceships toward the city.
  • Yan Beihai ordered the air defense force to stop the ships, and its ballistae failed to get past their weapons systems.
  • The city's Cloud-Blasting Cannons fired, and two shells struck Chen Mu's spaceship despite the systems intercepting most of the shots.
  • Chen Ju ordered the intelligent weapons systems to lock onto the targets and fire back.

Ch. 271Compromise

Chen Mu’s airships overwhelmed Falling Rosy Clouds City’s defenses until Yan Beihai agreed to let the Yin Lineage enter and resupply. After landing nine airships, Chen Mu sent the Yin Lineage to buy supplies and stayed behind to guard the fleet and prepare for trouble from the Ma Lineage’s bounty.

  • Yan Beihai’s formation corps struggled to hold the city’s defenses against the airships’ precise attacks, which were guided by Chen Mu’s Intelligent Weapon System.
  • Chen Mu used Dharma Power to intercept some Cloud-Blasting Shells, and the airships destroyed several cannons before Yan Beihai withdrew the rest.
  • Chen Ju’s forces attacked the city’s other air defenses until Yan Beihai called for a ceasefire and agreed to let Chen Mu enter the city.
  • Chen Mu told Yin Guang to bring the other six airships in, and the nine airships landed at Falling Rosy Clouds City’s docking plaza.
  • Chen Mu sent the Yin Lineage to purchase supplies, assigned Duoduo to handle second-grade spirit stone fuel, and stayed with the airships until they could leave before dark.

Ch. 272Earth Dragon Crocodile

Chen Mu stayed with the Yin Lineage’s airships to guard their wealth while Yan Beihai rejected a plan to attack them. In Chen Village’s territory, A Huo led the Demon-Slaying Sword in killing an Earth Dragon Crocodile and returned with its valuable remains.

  • Chen Mu agreed to guard the Yin Lineage’s nine airships and their cargo in Falling Rosy Clouds City.
  • Meng Jian urged Yan Beihai to attack the Yin Lineage, but Yan Beihai refused and ordered his experts to watch them instead.
  • A Huo led the Demon-Slaying Sword against an Earth Dragon Crocodile that had been ravaging nearby tribes, using a treasured artifact to stop it from burrowing away.
  • The Demon-Slaying Sword’s battle formation wounded and killed the Earth Dragon Crocodile.
  • A Huo’s troops processed the beast’s corpse and formed up to return to Chen Village.

Ch. 273Xing Le's False Accusation

Xing Le, controlled by the Heart Demon Emperor, slaughtered the demonic beasts in the Green Plains Mountain Range and framed Chen Village for the massacre. After persuading Su Wanyi that Chen Village threatened the Temple, he convinced her to awaken a divine general.

  • Xing Le killed every demonic beast in the Green Plains Mountain Range and changed into his Temple envoy robe.
  • Xing Le summoned Su Wanyi, recorded evidence of the dead beasts, and presented a dead Gold-Digging Rat pup as proof of Chen Village’s alleged crime.
  • Xing Le showed Su Wanyi a projection of the Demon-Slaying Sword members carrying meat and an Earth Dragon Crocodile head toward Chen Village.
  • Su Wanyi prepared to confront A Huo, but Xing Le warned her that Chen Village had a Creation Realm expert.
  • Xing Le accused Chen Village of plotting to become a human kingdom opposed to the Temple and urged Su Wanyi to awaken a divine general.
  • Su Wanyi agreed to follow Xing Le’s plan and awaken a divine general.

Ch. 274A Pretext for Accusation

While returning to Chen Village with the Yin Lineage, Chen Mu focused on developing flying ships and discussed the intelligent weapon system with Yin Chunbing. Mingye then warned him that the Temple had ordered Chen Village to surrender A Huo and the Demon-Slaying Sword, prompting Chen Mu to suspect Xing Le and hurry home.

  • Chen Mu designed three types of flying ships and planned to establish a production line at the Rune Research Institute.
  • Yin Chunbing came to the control room to learn the intelligent weapon system, and Chen Mu assigned Chen Ju to teach her.
  • Mingye told Chen Mu that the Temple had accused A Huo and the Demon-Slaying Sword of harming the Wilderness's ecology and demanded their surrender within a month.
  • Chen Mu suspected Xing Le had arranged the accusation and told Mingye to stall the Temple and raise Chen Village's alert level.
  • Chen Mu ordered Chen Ju to tell Yin Guang to fly the ships at maximum speed so they could return to Chen Village sooner.

Ch. 275Returning to Wilderness Border City

Chen Mu returned to Wilderness Border City with the Yin Lineage and left its nine ships there before flying back to Chen Village. There, he learned that the Temple was threatening to unleash a beast tide unless Chen Village surrendered the Demon-Slaying Sword, leaving the village facing a potentially overwhelming attack.

  • Chen Mu stopped at a commercial city to replenish provisions, then continued toward the Wilderness and arranged with Kong Yu to leave the fleet in Wilderness Border City.
  • Chen Mu thanked City Lord Wei Hengfan for accommodating the ships and told Yin Guang that the Yin Lineage could join Chen Village as partners rather than servants; Yin Guang agreed to move the lineage there within half a month.
  • Chen Mu flew back to Chen Village and summoned A Huo, Mingye, Chen Hongjie, and others to discuss recent developments.
  • Mingye reported that Xiaozhi's analysis had detected unusual southern demonic-beast movements and that the Temple had threatened to unleash a beast tide if Chen Village did not hand over the Demon-Slaying Sword.

Ch. 276Defying the Temple

Chen Mu rejected A Huo’s plan to leave and decided Chen Village would resist the Temple’s efforts to weaken it. As the village prepared for a possible beast tide, Mingye revealed she had delayed her Core Formation breakthrough until Chen Mu could guard her.

  • Mingye told Chen Mu that Temple envoys had blamed A Huo and the Demon-Slaying Sword for wiping out the Green Plains Mountain Range’s demonic beasts and killing a Juvenile Gold-Digging Rat.
  • A Huo proposed that Chen Village expel him and the Demon-Slaying Sword so they could leave the Wilderness, but Chen Mu warned that Xing Le would keep targeting the village and refused to retreat.
  • Chen Jianfeng and the others accepted Chen Mu’s decision to defy the Temple, and Chen Hongjie asked how to prepare for the danger ahead.
  • Chen Mu ordered the village to strengthen its defenses against a beast tide and approved recalling only the Five Elements Army, arguing that technology mattered more than troop numbers.
  • After the meeting, Chen Mu asked Mingye about her impending Core Formation breakthrough, and she explained that she had waited for him because her Nether Clan nature might make it dangerous.

Ch. 277Yin-Yang Mystic Core

Chen Mu helped Mingye prepare to form her Yin-Yang Mystic Core, but the core provoked an unprecedented Heavenly Tribulation. White Turtle warned that Mingye faced the legendary Nine-Nine Heavenly Tribulation, which ordinary cultivators could scarcely survive.

  • Chen Mu arranged for Mingye to undergo her tribulation at the training square and sparred with A Huo while Mingye pondered her feelings for him.
  • Chen Mu set up a Four Pillars Reaching Heaven Talisman around Mingye as she prepared to form her core.
  • Mingye condensed a Yin-Yang Mystic Core from Spiritual Power and Death Qi, bringing dark tribulation clouds over Chen Village.
  • White Turtle appeared in human form and told Chen Mu that Mingye's core had triggered a Nine-Nine Heavenly Tribulation capable of annihilating everything.

Ch. 278Nine-Nine Heavenly Tribulation

Chen Mu prepared Chen Village for Mingye’s Nine-Nine Heavenly Tribulation and linked their destinies so he could share its burden. Mingye endured the first five bolts, and Chen Mu prepared to help as the sixth approached.

  • Chen Mu asked the White Turtle about Mingye’s Yin-Yang Mystic Core and learned of its legendary power.
  • Chen Mu adjusted Chen Village’s defenses, ordered a lockdown, and used the Four Pillars Reaching Heaven Talisman and the village’s central processing system to link his destiny with Mingye’s.
  • Mingye completed her core and began facing the Nine-Nine Heavenly Tribulation while Chen Mu watched and prepared himself.
  • Mingye absorbed the first four bolts, relying on regenerative cell technology to recover from her charred body.
  • Mingye combined Spiritual Power and Death Qi to withstand the fifth bolt, leaving her with nearly half her power spent as Chen Mu prepared to intervene against the sixth.

Ch. 279Heart Demon Tribulation

Chen Mu endured the escalating Heavenly Tribulation bolts while shielding Mingye, until the Heart Demon Tribulation left her motionless. After surviving the final Annihilation Heavenly Thunder, Chen Mu extended his Divine Soul toward Mingye to confront her heart demon.

  • Chen Mu absorbed most of the sixth bolt’s lightning and heavenly fire while Mingye blocked the remainder.
  • Chen Mu took nearly all of the seventh bolt’s three-colored power and absorbed it to temper his body.
  • Chen Mu broke apart and destroyed the eighth bolt’s four-colored tribulation, then discovered Mingye had frozen under the Heart Demon Tribulation.
  • Chen Mu formed a Five Elements defense against the ninth bolt, but the Annihilation Heavenly Thunder shattered it and blasted him to the ground.
  • Chen Mu activated the Four Pillars Reaching Heaven Talisman and extended his Divine Soul toward Mingye’s heart demon.

Ch. 280Survive

During the leader’s deadly trial, six-year-old Xiaoxiao survived the fight by hiding, but A Yue died saving her. Xiaoxiao escaped the courtyard with A Yue’s final command to survive.

  • The leader ordered the thirty-eight orphans to kill one another, and Xiaoxiao hid in the rear courtyard grass.
  • A Liang lured Xiaoxiao out, claiming the hunt was over, then attacked her with a bloodied dagger.
  • A Yue, pretending to be wounded, killed A Liang from behind and urged Xiaoxiao to flee over the wall.
  • Xiaoxiao hid A Liang’s dagger and ran, but mistook A Yue’s sudden movement for an attack and threw the dagger into her chest.
  • A Yue revealed she had not meant to kill Xiaoxiao, told her not to trust others easily, and died after urging her to survive.
