The meeting lasted a long time, but the final outcome was somewhat unsatisfactory.
After everyone in the operations room had left, Virginia Barans kept Lina's sidekick behind.
" Major Sirius, do you have anything to say about this incident?" Virginia Barans didn't beat around the bush and asked the question directly.
"Colonel, I was unaware of this matter," Lina replied immediately.
Virginia Barans glanced at her, then threw several photos in front of her before saying, "Look at these before you tell me you didn't know!"
Lina picked up the photo and glanced at it, her cheeks immediately flushing.
She might have had to look closely at other people in the photo, but she recognized them immediately – it was her and Yunyi.
However, these photos were taken a long time ago, so there are some differences between her in the photos and her now. But Yunyi's face in the photos is almost identical to the person in another photo taken from near-Earth orbit.
"First, I need to clarify one thing. Major Sirius, what is your relationship with this person? Relative? Friend? Lover? Please give me a definite answer," Virginia Barans asked.
Lina was conflicted; how should she explain her relationship with Yunyi?
They weren't exactly friends, but they were more like business partners. However, despite being business partners, she often didn't share information with him, so Yunyi had rarely contacted her or asked for her help in the past year or so.
But what else could she say? Call him an opponent? Whether it was sparring or a real battle, she had never won once! In her eyes, Yunyi was a freak! His Strategic-Class Magic wouldn't even produce a spark; how could someone like that be considered human?
Seeing her changing expressions, Virginia Barans also became nervous.
" Major Sirius, you wouldn't happen to be this boy's lover or something, would you?" Virginia finally asked. She didn't want to hear that answer.
"How could that be! We're just friends!" Lina immediately retorted loudly.
Hearing her answer, Virginia breathed a sigh of relief. As long as the relationship wasn't too special, it was acceptable. If other people in the military found out that Angie Sirius had become someone's lover, the entire America magical community would probably be thrown into turmoil.
Ban, standing to the side, pursed his lips. He had also seen the photos, and his emotions were churning. He had met this boy before, but the location and setting of their meeting seemed somewhat different from Lina's so-called friendship.
"Since you have a connection with this person, then you will be in charge of this mission. Major, you should go back and pack your bags now, and prepare to go to Japan for an infiltration mission. Yunyi paid no attention to the outside world's attention or responses.
He had spent the entire afternoon napping, and when he woke up and went downstairs, he saw Mayumi Saegusa, Miyuki Shiba, and a few others huddled together in the kitchen, busy with something.
Seeing this, several question marks popped up on Yunyi's forehead.
"What, you guys took over the chef's job and are here to make dinner?"
Yunyi's voice made the busy people in the kitchen stop what they were doing. However, when they turned around, Yunyi's eyes and mouth were twitching uncontrollably.
Mayumi Saegusa and Miyuki Shiba are alright; those two know how to cook. Honoka Mitsui also seems to have a decent skill level, so she should be fine too. But what is Shizuku Kitayama doing? The flour on her face, and the egg wash clinging to her hair... is that egg wash?
"Ara- Yunyi-kun, you're awake?" Mayumi Saegusa put down her kitchen utensils and walked up to Yunyi.
"The weather outside isn't suitable for going out right now, and we all have nothing to do, so we're planning to make some snacks or something. Yunyi-kun, would you like to come along?"
Yunyi shook his head. He could consider having him cook, but making desserts with a bunch of girls was something he should just let go of.
"In that case, Yunyi-kun, you should go find something to do yourself. By the way, Tatsuya-kun is over in the living room, you can go find him." Seeing that Yunyi wasn't going to join them, Mayumi Saegusa decisively started to shoo him away.
Yunyi shook his head helplessly and turned to go to the living room.

Therefore, Kasumi and Izumi were kicked out of the kitchen and should now be in their own rooms.
Just as Yunyi and Tatsuya Shiba were feeling a little awkward, Yunyi's phone suddenly rang.
He took it out and glanced at it, his expression immediately turning serious.
Seeing Yunyi stride towards the kitchen, Tatsuya Shiba got up and followed. He thought there was news coming from the mainland, but when he reached the kitchen, he heard Yunyi say, " Mayumi, I have to leave for a bit. My mother is having some trouble, I need to go take care of it."
