Yunyi and Miyuki Shiba exchanged a glance, both of them somewhat puzzled. What had happened so early in the morning?
Just as the two were wondering what was going on, Shizuku Kitayama and Honoka Mitsui walked over.
" Yunyi, and Miyuki, good morning," Shizuku Kitayama greeted the two.
"Good morning, Shizuku, and Honoka too," Miyuki Shiba replied to the two.
"What happened here?" Yunyi asked directly, without exchanging pleasantries.
Shizuku Kitayama turned to look at the students in the classroom, and after a moment of contemplation, said, "Some of you just received news that Morisaki- san, who had been on leave from school, has died. Everyone is a bit down because of this news."
"How could this be?" Miyuki Shiba was slightly surprised. Although Shun Morisaki hadn't left a very good impression on her, he was still her classmate. So, she naturally had some reaction to this sudden news.
Yunyi frowned. He did remember Shun Morisaki, especially when they arrested Sun Meiling; Shun Morisaki had even fought with him. Yunyi remembered clearly that he hadn't seriously injured him back then, only knocked him unconscious. That level of injury shouldn't be fatal.
"Could it be that after I left, someone else showed up and injured that Morisaki guy? Gnawed his kidneys?" Yunyi wondered to himself.
"Shizuku, do you know how Morisaki died?" Yunyi asked.
Shizuku Kitayama shook her head. She wasn't familiar with Morisaki, so there was no need for her to care about his affairs.
Just then, Yunyi's terminal rang. He took out the terminal and glanced at it, a serious look immediately flashing in his eyes.
After putting away his terminal, Yunyi turned and left the classroom. Shizuku Kitayama and Miyuki Shiba watched his departing figure, both puzzled. Honoka Mitsui asked directly, "What's wrong with him? He doesn't look well?"
Yunyi went straight to Class E after leaving the classroom. His arrival surprised the students in Class E.
" Yunyi? Didn't you transfer to another department? Why are you back?"
"Yeah, you're really amazing. You moved up a whole subject in just one semester."
Seeing the students who had gathered around, Yunyi smiled kindly, "I just came back to see you all. You all need to work hard and try to get promoted."
"Haha, that's easy for you to say. We're not as capable as you."
After exchanging pleasantries for a while, Yunyi stepped out from the crowd. He approached Tatsuya Shiba: " Tatsuya, I need to talk to you about something. Shall we go together?"
Tatsuya Shiba was taken aback. When he saw the solemn expression on Yunyi's face, his heart skipped a beat.
Watching Tatsuya Shiba leave with Yunyi, Erika Chiba and Leonhart exchanged glances. The two of them originally had a fairly good relationship with Yunyi, but after Erika Chiba had a heated argument with Yunyi back in Ogasawara, the relationship between the three of them became strained.
After leaving Class E's classroom, Yunyi and Tatsuya Shiba went directly to the Public Morals Committee's office.
After the two sat down, Yunyi didn't waste any words and directly pushed the terminal in front of Tatsuya Shiba.
Tatsuya Shiba and glanced at it, his brows immediately furrowing. He looked at Yunyi and asked, "Is your source reliable?"
"It was sent personally by Old Liu, oh, it's Liu Yunde," Yunyi replied.
Tatsuya Shiba fell silent. If the news had come from other channels, he might have had room for doubt. But this news came from Liu Yunde, Strategic-Class Magic in the alliance, which meant that the source of the news was likely a military spy or something similar. Such news was basically confirmed to be reliable.
"I am not aware of this matter, and Kazama has not mentioned anything related to it in his recent communications," Tatsuya Shiba responded.
Yunyi nodded; he didn't doubt Tatsuya Shiba's words. But the message from Liu Yunde made him take it seriously.
" Tatsuya, we can't confirm whether the news is true or not yet, but I believe it's not entirely unfounded. What I want to know now is your attitude. If the people of 101 ask you to go into battle, what will you do?" Yunyi asked this question very directly.
After a moment's hesitation, Tatsuya Shiba replied, "I don't know."
Yunyi was not entirely satisfied with this answer. Tatsuya Shiba, sitting opposite him, was equally conflicted.
In the past, if Harunobu Kazama had asked him to join the battle, he wouldn't have refused. After all, he was a soldier, and obeying orders was a given. But given the current situation, he was somewhat unsure about his decision.
Tatsuya Shiba was well aware that Yunyi might not care too much about small-scale conflicts. However, if it were a large-scale conflict or a war between the two sides, Yunyi would not stand idly by if Japan deployed Strategic-Class Magic.
Given these preconditions, Tatsuya Shiba seemed somewhat hesitant.
"In that case, we'll see when the time comes. But Tatsuya, if it really comes to that, I won't hold back." Yunyi took his terminal back from Tatsuya Shiba, got up and left the Public Morals Committee office.
Tatsuya Shiba sat silently for more than ten minutes before getting up and leaving, but his expression was somewhat solemn as he left.
When Yunyi returned to the classroom, the atmosphere had returned to normal. Lina approached Yunyi and whispered, "I received a message from Yunyi Colonel Virginia. The Japan military seems to be making moves, possibly targeting you. Are you aware of this?"
Yunyi nodded slightly. "I received a message from the United Nations. I was a little skeptical just now, but since you know about it, it seems this time it really wasn't just a rumor."
"What do you plan to do?" Lina asked.
"Let's wait and see. If it really comes to war, then let's fight! Those Japan military personnel, since they're not behaving themselves, let's chop off their claws, skin them alive, and see if they can still jump around," Yunyi said coldly.
"Hiss, could it be that you're going to make a move this time too?" Lina asked in surprise.
In her view, Yunyi had many grievances against their coalition government. He shouldn't want to get involved in this kind of thing.
Yunyi glanced at her but did not answer her question.
Lina realized that continuing to press the issue would be inappropriate, so she remained silent. She returned to her seat, but her mind was preoccupied with another instruction given to her by Virginia Barans.
