The Unforgiven from Shinigami
The sunset was beautiful, and the road and forest were bathed in a poetic atmosphere.
Masaki Kurosaki didn't look back. She pulled her suitcase with one hand and carried two bags in the other, continuing forward until she reached the crossroads in front of her.
She stopped and stared blankly at the intersection.
She had finally achieved the freedom she had once dreamed of.
More than immense joy, I felt a sense of bewilderment.
From the age of four when she was adopted by the Ishida Family until now, at the age of seventeen, she has never seriously considered leaving the Ishida Family.
Because she understood very early on why she was adopted by her aunt and raised in the Ishida Family.
Her life consisted of graduating, marrying Little Ryūken, and then giving birth to the Ishida Family's child.
Masaki Kurosaki mentally prepared herself; Little Ryūken was a good person, and if she married him, he would definitely be a good husband.
Whether you love someone or not doesn't matter. Reality isn't a movie; it doesn't require love to get married.
There was no Prince Charming either.
"Prince..." she said, a figure flashing through her mind, shattering the pale and ferocious void in the pitch-black world.
That man.
Masaki Kurosaki clenched her fist and decided to go find Isshin Shiba and stay there temporarily.
She pulled her suitcase and started running down the road, the confusion in her heart disappearing after she made up her mind.
The joy of freedom once again filled her mind, causing her to burst into laughter, oblivious to the stares of others who thought she was crazy.
I ran all the way to the clinic entrance, where a wooden sign stood upright on the wall, reading "Shiba Clinic".
She opened the sliding door, and the wind chimes hanging behind it rang.
"You..." Isshin Shiba was about to greet the patient when he was surprised to find that it was Masaki Kurosaki, whom he had parted ways with not long ago. He asked in confusion, "What happened to you?"
"Starting today, I'll be staying here temporarily. Please take good care of me, Isshin ~"
Masaki Kurosaki bowed at the door.
Isshin Shiba was completely stunned. He blinked and watched her pull her suitcase through the door before he reacted, exclaiming in surprise, "Huh? What happened?"
"Because Shiraishi came to my door, my aunt kicked me out of the Ishida Family."
After explaining for a moment, Masaki Kurosaki asked, "Where should I put my luggage?"
There are vacant rooms on the second floor.
Isshin Shiba answered instinctively, his mind still reeling, " Shiraishi? I remember, that guy was the Shinigami who succeeded me as the Tenth Division, why is he in the World of the Living?"
As Masaki Kurosaki carried her suitcase up the stairs, she replied, "They said they have a mission to stop Aizen's plot in the World of the Living from succeeding, and they need to find Kūgo Ginjō and ask for our help."
"Get the Quincy to help? He's really something."
Isshin Shiba grumbled, scratching his head, "It's a pity Urahara went to Soul Society, leaving only Tessai Tsukabishi and two kids to mind the shop. They can't be of much help."
"It's okay, I'll look for it myself. I'll meet with my uncle tomorrow and ask him if he needs any help."
Masaki Kurosaki pushed open the door to the empty room. A bed stood there all alone, with a closet to the side. "Wow, this is huge, Isshin. I'll stay here for now, and find a place to move out when I've earned some money from part-time jobs."
Isshin Shiba and said, "No need, this house is big enough, it's fine for more people to stay, you can stay as long as you want."
"Is that so?" Masaki Kurosaki turned her head, a smirk on her face.
Isshin Shiba felt inexplicably guilty, as if the other person had seen through his thoughts, and quickly looked away, asking, "Have you eaten?"
If you haven't eaten, I still have a few cases of Nissin cup noodles. Just tell me what flavor you'd like.
"I came out after I'd eaten. It's not good for your health to eat only instant noodles all day. How about this, I'll take care of the housework from now on, consider it your payment."
Masaki Kurosaki's grades in home economics were quite good, but she didn't have the opportunity to demonstrate her abilities at the Ishida Family.
The maid helps with everything in the house.
If she wanted to do it, she would be taking someone else's job, and she would be criticized for it.
Isshin Shiba thought cup noodles were quite nutritious, but thinking about Kurosaki's meals, she decisively abandoned them, saying, "Then I'll leave it to you."
"It's nothing."
Masaki Kurosaki rolled up her sleeves, her enthusiasm rising, and said, "Let's start cleaning right away."
Isshin Shiba smiled and said, "I cleaned today, everything is spotless."
"Really? You'll see how dirty the house is when you look at the color of the water."
From the moment Masaki Kurosaki entered until now, she had already observed the cleaning area that Isshin Shiba had been cleaning.
The clinic floor and chairs are fine; the problem lies under the chairs, under the counter, and other places that are rarely touched—the broom will never reach those areas.
A casual sweep reveals a large amount of dust.
Masaki Kurosaki went from the first floor to the second floor, first using a broom to clean up a lot of dust and garbage, and then using a mop to clean up and down twice.
To Isshin Shiba, the entire house seemed to have been renovated.
"That's amazing!"
His face was full of sighs.
Masaki Kurosaki wiped the sweat from her brow, proudly puffed out her chest, and declared, "I got a perfect score in Home Economics!"
"Truly reliable," Isshin Shiba in praise. He himself couldn't possibly have done it to this extent.
"Dr. Shiba."
Someone shouted from below.
"They've arrived."
Isshin Shiba apologetic expression, "I'll go down and check first."
"Okay, you go ahead with your work, I need to do my homework too."
Masaki Kurosaki waved, turned around and went back to her room. She took out her homework from her bag, but her mind wasn't on it; her eyes were looking out the window.
The Great Luo of All Worlds
The night was still.
The spiritual pressure of the Hollow and the Shinigami mingled once again, no less intense than the previous night.
Aizen... Is his Hollow-like abnormality related to this name?
Masaki Kurosaki lowered her eyes, her mind a jumble of thoughts. She wanted to help, but felt at a loss for how to proceed.
Looking at the assignment again, he immediately collapsed to the ground, thinking, "The world is facing a crisis, and I still have to prove plane geometry using vector methods."
Ugh, so annoying!
She scratched her head with both hands, then sat up. There were higher-ups above her, holding up the world crisis.
If you don't finish your homework and can't hand it in tomorrow, the teacher will nag you.
Explaining it with the excuse of saving the world simply won't convince the other party.
Masaki Kurosaki lowered her head to work on her homework. Around 10 p. m., she peeked out the window and saw that the light below was still on.
The Reiatsu continued throughout the area.
It's so lively!
Masaki Kurosaki turned off the light, crawled into bed, and experienced spending her first night in a bed outside the Ishida Family.
I thought I wouldn't be able to sleep.
I fell asleep surprisingly quickly.
" Masaki, Masaki, don't you have to go to school today?"
The loud knocking woke Masaki Kurosaki, who jumped up abruptly. "What time is it?"
"7:30."
"Oh no, I'm late for club activity, I'm going to get yelled at by the seniors."
Masaki Kurosaki clapped her hands, then quickly got up, opened the door, and said, "Sorry, I was sleeping too soundly. Have you had breakfast yet?"
Isshin Shiba outside the door, gave a thumbs-up and said, "It's okay, I made some instant noodles."
That's all for today.
Masaki Kurosaki decided to set an alarm on her phone, hurriedly washed up, went downstairs to eat instant noodles, and unexpectedly saw the Karakura Town Morning News on the table. The headline on the front page was about a murder case in the parking lot of the First Department Store Building.
Eighteen people died!
Her eyes widened as she picked up the morning newspaper and examined it carefully.
