The Unforgiven Shinigami, Chapter 65: Urahara's Response. Kisuke Urahara has been very busy lately.
How busy are they?
He basically only takes a short nap of about an hour a day, spending the rest of his time thinking about Aizen's countermeasures and Yhwach's reaction.
The overall plan remains unchanged, but it's always good to think more about contingency plans for dealing with the enemy.
To outsiders, it was a tiring task, but he found joy in it, as if his mind was simultaneously engaged in a game of wits with multiple Aizen and Yhwach, thus generating countless possibilities and futures.
To anticipate that point and defeat them is undoubtedly a very rewarding experience.
In early August, Kisuke Urahara was taking a nap at his desk. Before he had even slept for a full hour, a voice sounded in his ear.
He woke up immediately and listened intently; this was Mayuri Kurotsuchi's special way of communicating with him.
A one-way brainwave communication device can circumvent Szayelaporro's brainwave detection system.
A device that is only activated when Mayuri Kurotsuchi is under surveillance.
" Jehovah, a million Arrancar have descended to the underworld..."
Kisuke Urahara quickly got up, rummaged through the pile of blueprints on his desk, and shouted, " Yoruichi, call Ichibē Hyōsube and the others over here!"
"Hmm." A response came from outside the door.
Soon, bursts of Reiatsu appeared outside.
The door was pushed open, and Ichibē Hyōsube, with a full beard, barged in first, chuckling, "What a messy room."
Is this a pigsty?
Soi Fon complained that there were incomprehensible drawings everywhere, even on the walls and bookshelves, with strange lines drawn on them.
"Excuse me, please do not step on these blueprints. Please wait there for a moment."
As he spoke, Kisuke Urahara searched through the documents for a possible solution.
He did not possess the Almighty Schrift; he could only predict future events through the high-speed operation of his brain and record them.
Because he didn't retain it in his mind, even in this state, he couldn't remember every possibility. He only had a general outline to remind himself of the prepared countermeasures he had taken.
A group of people could only stand at the doorway.
Ichigo Kurosaki forced his way from the back to the front and asked, "Mr. Urahara, isn't it time to begin?"
Retsu Unohana answered on his behalf, " Captain-Commander Yamamoto Shinji Hirako, Kensei Muguruma, Ōetsu Nimaiya —they haven't all arrived yet, so there's no need to rush."
"Found it." Kisuke Urahara exclaimed, pulling out a blueprint and rubbing his messy hair. He said, "Everyone, I just received some bad news. Aizen has created a Soul King substitute based on himself, named Jehovah."
She will lead a million Arrancar here as Zeroth Espada to launch a full-scale annihilation campaign.
"Annihilation battle?!" Ichigo Kurosaki's mind was in a state of confusion as he muttered, "That means..."
" Aizen intends to completely annihilate all living beings in this world, forcing us to intervene."
Kisuke Urahara explained further, pressing his temples and forcing a wry smile, "This is an open strategy. For the greater good, we must step forward. If we hide, we will lose the righteous cause of defeating Aizen."
"That's not the problem!"
Ichigo Kurosaki muttered something under his breath, his hands clenching tightly, his heart filled with anger.
This world is terrible and dangerous.
Even so, powerless people still try their best to live, protecting their families and continuing human civilization in their own ways.
However, Aizen disregarded their efforts and, merely to find a small group of them, decided to annihilate all living beings.
This extremely brutal attitude was something Ichigo Kurosaki could not accept.
Kisuke Urahara didn't argue with him, not because he thought Ichigo Kurosaki's ideas were naive, but on the contrary, he was the abnormal one.
Kisuke Urahara had long ago realized this. "The plan needs to be changed. If I'm not mistaken, the enemy's main force should prioritize attacking Silbern."
Secondly, there are the Steel Shell City. I created a total of twenty-five Steel Shell City, which can accommodate a population of about one hundred million. The external devices prevent Reiatsu from leaking out.
However, if Szayelaporro really wanted to capture it, it could still pinpoint its location accurately.
Finally, there are the scattered villages. We can hardly spare any manpower to protect them. The only way to reduce casualties on the ground is to end the war in the sky as quickly as possible.
" Urahara, we don't have enough manpower to protect the Steel Shell City."
Ichibē Hyōsube stroked his long beard; his eyes, like copper bells, lacked the hot-bloodedness of a brute, instead displaying only indifference.
In their attitudes toward life, Ichibē Hyōsube and Aizen were similar: from a god's perspective, as long as Reishi exist, there is no fear of being alone.
The righteous cause that Kisuke Urahara spoke of was nothing but empty rhetoric.
It would be unwise to spare too many troops for that empty title, or even to expose that the captains have broken free of their seal.
At least, Aizen's current actions are targeted at Kisuke Urahara, Shiraishi, and Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, not all Shinigami.
Ichigo Kurosaki looked up and said, "You bald monk, are you planning to abandon those people?"
Isshin Kurosaki immediately flew into a rage, shouting, "Hey, Ichigo! Speak politely! How can you call a bald man a bald donkey? Apologize to Hyōsube right now!"
"Enough with the nonsense, a bald monk is a bald monk."
Ichigo Kurosaki sticks to his beliefs.
Ignoring the lives of others and focusing solely on winning the war—how are they any different from Aizen?
All that sacrifice was just to allow a second " Aizen " to rule the world.
Ichigo Kurosaki was unwilling to do that.
Ichibē Hyōsube wasn't offended by the title and calmly replied, "Sometimes necessary sacrifices are unavoidable."
"I have a way."
As he spoke, Kisuke Urahara pulled a bottle of specially made invigorating perfume from his pocket, sprayed it into the air, and took a deep breath to revive his wan spirit.
"When I built the Steel Shell City, I left a secret door that can be used to bring the Steel Shell City together."
The team members stayed behind to protect them, and several strong individuals, including the captains, held them off.
We don't need to worry about Silbern. If I'm not mistaken, Yhwach will probably try to devour Jehovah to increase his power.
Our plan has changed to storming the Pantheon. Aizen's move has left the Pantheon vulnerable, with only the Espada and a few dozen Arrancar there.
This is the perfect opportunity for a decisive battle.
Ichibē Hyōsube interrupted, " Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto and Ōetsu must be there. Without them, defeating Aizen won't be easy."
"As long as we know the access switch to the Pantheon, and use the GPS tracker I installed on the motorcycle, we can use the Garganta to bring Captain-Commander Yamamoto and Ōetsu to the Pantheon."
Kisuke Urahara explained his overall plan, his face beaming with excitement. " Aizen really made a bad move, thanks to Mr. Shiraishi."
I don't know how he managed to get Tier Harribel, Aizen's most loyal follower, to report that the sealed land was safe, thus leading Aizen to make the wrong judgment that I hadn't Shikai the captains yet."
The disparity in strength between the two sides is enormous.
Kisuke Urahara aware of this, and even devised a plan to betray the Wandenreich in order to deal with the Arrancar army.
As a result, Aizen's understanding of Tier Harribel led to a misjudgment, and he severed his own arm before the battle began.
If they don't actually Shikai the captains, Jehovah's decision to send a million Arrancar down to earth will put them in a passive position.
Things are different now.
Let's finish this battle properly.
