In the novel " Shinigami the Unforgiven Great Swordsman," Chapter 38 Mayuri Kurotsuchi's face was grim. Part of the reason was a miscalculation; his designed device for absorbing Reishi had failed to capture Loly.
Another reason was the close relationship between Shiraishi and Nemu Kurotsuchi, which truly made this old father feel like he had a heart attack.
He was even questioned by Shiraishi in that kind of tone.
The faces covered in fake skin were tinged with gloom. "We haven't found a good way to control Loly's Negación Threads yet. If she wants to leave, no one can stop her."
"Yes."
Nemu Kurotsuchi quickly chimed in, then quietly tugged at his sleeve, blinking her deep green eyes to signal him not to pursue the matter too much with Mayuri.
I really don't understand, every time they meet, the air is thick with tension.
Caught in the middle, she could only act as a buffer, trying to prevent them from becoming too confrontational.
Shiraishi let the question go, turning his gaze to the cylindrical metal devices behind him, one after another. "Didn't I say I would destroy Aizen's Reishi absorption devices?"
"It's being destroyed. Machines that store high-density Reishi like this can't be eliminated at will. To explain it with your limited knowledge, it would trigger a super explosion."
Mayuri Kurotsuchi answered in a very serious tone.
Shiraishi asked suspiciously, "You don't actually want to study how this device works, do you?"
"I've already said that hasty destruction would cause a massive explosion. I'm currently performing a precise destruction process, and it should be fine in four or five months."
Mayuri Kurotsuchi continued to fabricate stories. He didn't usually lie, not because he couldn't, but because he felt there was no need to.
He always finds a way to fool people when he feels the need, like this time.
"The structure of the Reishi absorption device is..."
Mayuri Kurotsuchi began using technical jargon and terminology, leaving laypeople completely bewildered.
Shiraishi was completely bewildered after just a few words. What did he mean by a wavelength shorter than 0.1 angstroms? What did he mean by an energy higher than 124 keV?
"Stop. Well, since it's this dangerous, you need to keep a close eye on things and not let the enemy use you."
Out of pride, he couldn't admit that he didn't understand, so he just glossed over it.
The reason for destroying this device is that Aizen's design had a maximum power level, capable of reducing the Reishi of the World of the Living to an extremely low level within seconds.
If such a situation were to occur, the spirits living in the World of the Living would experience suffocation and chest tightness. Then, just like the souls that previously resided in the World of the Living, the Chain of Fate would resurface, collapse, and they would fall into nothingness.
This is a situation that Shiraishi needs to avoid.
If this were to happen, it would not only cause harm to the World of the Living, but also create difficulties for Hueco Mundo.
Should we accept or reject our fellow human beings who act like wild beasts?
Shiraishi didn't want Nel to be confused and wanted to destroy the device as soon as possible to prevent it from being used by the enemy.
Mayuri Kurotsuchi had the opposite idea; he wanted to conduct the research, and he would deal with the serious consequences later.
"If anything unexpected happens, you will have to take responsibility."
"Hmm," Mayuri Kurotsuchi replied indifferently.
Shiraishi said nothing more and used the Steel Tempest to return to the observation room.
" Captain-Commander," Akon called out, a hint of expectation in his eyes, "Has the enemy been dealt with?"
"That's right, your message was very timely."
Shiraishi nodded.
Szayelaporro was cautious and cunning. He knew that causing trouble here would attract his attention. Once he found out where the specimen was, he immediately rushed there, intending to merge with the body and leave.

The only miscalculation was that he wasn't Szayelaporro himself, but merely a replica created using Szayelaporro's advanced technology. It was impossible for him to fuse with the body in the shortest amount of time.
This would give Shiraishi, who had received news from Akon, time to strike with his sword.
"You continue to deploy your troops to eliminate the invading Arrancar."
Shiraishi spoke, looking at the red dot on the screen with a solemn expression; the Shinigami Reaper still didn't have enough manpower.
It is difficult to stop scattered Arrancar in the first instance.
It is unknown how great the damage in this World of the Living will be.
As he was thinking this, a dark screen suddenly lit up.
"We've connected with the signal from Hueco Mundo." The Garganta opened again.
The two announcements from the Research and Development Institute went unnoticed by Shiraishi. He walked directly to the screen and asked, " Urahara, what happened?"
On the screen, Kisuke Urahara looked weak, leaning back in his chair, and said, "It was Sōya Azashiro this. He injected me with the Superhuman Drug. If it weren't for the antibodies in my body, I don't know when I would have woken up."
What's the situation with the Hueco Mundo?
Shiraishi pressed for an answer.
"The void has won a complete victory." The words were not spoken by Kisuke Urahara, but by a man who appeared out of nowhere, his upper body almost split open by a hideous wound, his feet planted on the ground, blood gradually spreading from his soles.
Akon and the others remained silent.
Sōya Azashiro was unable to maintain stable control of his Reiatsu, and the overflowing Reiatsu was making it difficult for them to breathe.

" Azashiro, it's been a long time."
Shiraishi greeted him with a laugh, then punched him hard in the face, roaring, "You think I'd say that? You bastard, Akon, heal this guy's wounds, then lock him up."
Sōya Azashiro knocked unconscious, and the intimidating power of his Reiatsu weakened.
Akon was able to move and begin carrying out his orders.
Because of its research, the Research and Development Institute is quite familiar with the human body, and naturally has drugs for rapid treatment as well as devices to limit Reiatsu.
Shiraishi turned back to the screen and asked, "Are Nel and Tier alright?"
"It would be best to have Captain Unohana lead the Fourth Division over. They have quite a few wounded, and they are seriously injured as well."
Kisuke Urahara awoke and his first instinct was to try and restore the Hueco Mundo network. He encountered no obstacles and, without even leaving his room, received all the information. "Send over the coordinates of the Arrancar who attacked. I'll forward them to Nelliel's subordinates so they can go there and arrest the Arrancar."
"Hey you," Shiraishi said, pointing to a strange-looking guy whose head didn't look human, "You'd better send the message right away, just like Urahara instructed."
"Yes," the strange man replied, and began typing on the keyboard.
Shiraishi took out his phone, sent a message to Retsu Unohana through the Heart Window, and asked, "Is it Grimmjow's rebellion?"
"Hmm," Kisuke Urahara replied, Isshin as he spoke, not forgetting to forward the coordinates and check the reports on the situation at the scene. " Szayelaporro and Loly's plan, you were there, so it seems they didn't succeed."
"Having just driven them back, can't Loly find a way to capture them?"

Shiraishi passed the question to the man with the best mind.
Kisuke Urahara remarked, "There is a way, namely a brand-new monitoring system that can detect Negación Threads, but it will take time."
"Even popularizing it within Soul Society is expected to be a massive project that will take ten years; if Hueco Mundo is included, it will take even longer."
"Make a design draft first, then show it to me later."
As Shiraishi spoke, he received a reply from Retsu Unohana: "That's settled then. If there's anything else, just tell them to do it."
