The room was bright, not at all like being underground, and a fragrant aroma wafted from the incense burner.

The walls were covered with posters of all sizes about Aizen. A blond young man leaned lazily against the sofa, his hair slicked back with a few strands framing his face, giving him the air of a CEO.

Alexander fled the Fifth Division but did not choose to go to Silbern. He knew that he would likely be silenced by Haschwalth if he went there.

He chose to hide in the Kuchiki District.

This area, hailed as the most stable and prosperous in District 26, is like a tall tree; the closer it gets to the sky, the deeper its roots will reach into the ground.

He hid here, using the massive flow of money to conceal his tracks and quietly accumulating power, and has already achieved considerable success.

"If possible, I really don't want to see acquaintances under these circumstances."

Alexander poured Haschwalth a glass of wine, a smile spreading across his face. "The news of your rampage up there has spread throughout District 26. Matsumoto District is the worst hit; the latest news is that most of it is destroyed."

"That ominous Reiatsu could be felt even from below."

"That was Gerard's doing."

Haschwalth replied, raising his glass, "That's not my style."

"Haha, it doesn't really matter to me whether it's a big or small fuss. The monsters are wielding their power and fighting for world domination, which has nothing to do with small fry like us."

Alexander shrugged, subtly indicating his unwillingness to help; he had no desire to get involved in the conflict between Shinigami and the Sternritter.

Living underground, surrounded by darkness, and surrounded by money and beautiful women, he inevitably had a thought: this kind of life is alright, there's no need to take any risks.

Even if you plaster Aizen's posters all over the room and perfectly imitate his image and tone of voice, you're still not him. You don't have that indomitable spirit that no hardship can diminish, and you can't resist the cruel hand of money and women.

Haschwalth understood this as well, his cold expression remaining completely blank as he said, "No one can stand aside, but I won't ask you to fight; you only need to provide intelligence."

"What intelligence?" Alexander asked.

Haschwalth said, "Regarding the Fourth Division's residence, under these circumstances, attacking the General Infirmary is something the Shinigami would not allow."

"Okay, I'll give you a map to get there."

Alexander readily agreed when he heard that he wouldn't have to fight himself and would only need to provide a map.

Haschwalth downed the liquor in one gulp, his expression unchanged. The greatest advantage of being scattered was concealment; the enemy was in the open while we remained hidden.

He didn't believe that the Captain-Commander, or the other Shinigami, could remain indifferent if Shinigami General Infirmary were attacked, based on his own assumptions.

Fourth Division, General Infirmary.

It no longer resembles a church; not only have the exterior decorations been removed, but the main hall has also been converted into wards and operating rooms.

When the battle broke out, the Fourth Division was the busiest. Not to mention the Sternritter, the Soldat and ordinary Quincy were all fighting the Shinigami soldiers in various places.

The affected residents can be moved to nearby hospitals for treatment, while the Shinigami must go to the General Infirmary, where the Shinigami of the Fourth Division will personally take charge of their treatment.

Retsu Unohana was not in command; she was performing major surgery on Kenpachi Zaraki.

Isane Kotetsu was in charge of the operation. She was extremely busy, but she still managed to keep things running smoothly.

Listening to the cries of the wounded, Isane Kotetsu was filled with helpless sorrow. He couldn't understand why anyone would start a war. Wouldn't it be better for everyone to live in peace? Why did they have to turn the world into a mess?

" Lieutenant Kotetsu, there is a critically injured soldier here. He is very seriously wounded and needs surgery as soon as possible."

Isane Kotetsu glanced at the man and immediately realized that what he said was true. There was a large hole in his abdomen, and the bleeding couldn't be stopped. He needed emergency treatment, and there had to be someone on site to direct the operation.

" Matsumoto -nee, please keep an eye on this area."

She could only pull Rangiku Matsumoto, who was waiting for her captain's test results, along with her, thinking that since they were both vice-captains, there shouldn't be any problems.

"Me?" Rangiku Matsumoto looked bewildered. She wasn't very adept at handling the Tenth Division's official duties, and seeing the chaotic scene, she said, "Alright, leave it to me!"

At this critical moment, she, as the vice-captain, had no choice but to step forward.

Compared to the average squad member, her experience as the vice-captain was still there, and she could barely handle it.

Isane Kotetsu went to perform surgery, and Rangiku Matsumoto took over all the on-site matters. It was easier than she had imagined. Perhaps it was because of her years of slacking off in the Tenth Division that she had developed a good eye and was able to identify who was suitable for the job.

Relying on others more than on oneself is also a skill.

After being busy for a while, she found herself with some free time again. She went to the lobby to pour herself a cup of tea and decided to go outside to soak up some sun.

The streets became deserted, and residents had been evacuated to a kilometer away.

This is the Fourth Division's base, specifically for sheltering the wounded. There's no guarantee that Quincy on our door to attack.

The Shinigami of the Fifth Division are responsible for security here.

Momo Hinamori ran over and asked, " Rangiku- san, how is Hitsugaya?"

Upon hearing this, Rangiku Matsumoto laughed and said, "It's alright, it's just that the Reiatsu was too high, Bankai put a slight strain on my body."

" Hitsugaya used Bankai before without any problems."

Momo Hinamori was somewhat surprised.

Rangiku Matsumoto comforted her, saying, "The enemy is probably too difficult to deal with; don't worry too much."

"Um."

Momo Hinamori nodded and said, "Eh, why does the Wandenreich insist on fighting us?"

"That's how war is; it starts with personal desires. Yhwach was probably unwilling to be subservient to Shinigami; he wanted to be the only king in the world."

Rangiku Matsumoto sighed, took a sip of tea to moisten her throat, and then a sharp shout rang out, " Quincy!"

Then, the sound disappeared from the alley.

Rangiku Matsumoto immediately released her teacup, intending to draw her sword and rush forward, but a hand grabbed her shoulder. "Step back, Rangiku."

"Silver." She turned her head.

Gin Ichimaru's face lacked its usual ease; his narrowed eyes snapped open. "The enemy's strength is beyond your capabilities."

He said this and walked outside.

"Wow, I never imagined I'd be fighting alongside that kid from back then."

Shinji Hirako Shunpo to the doorway, also sensing the Reiatsu emanating from the alley. He uttered a sarcastic remark to alleviate the pressure.

Gin Ichimaru understood his thoughts and shrugged, "Yes, things are unpredictable. I never thought I'd be fighting as Shinigami Reaper. I hope I survive to the end."

That's hard to say.

Haschwalth stepped out of the alley, a sword in hand. "Place me and you on the scales of fate. Which way they tip is obvious."
