Background / History
Lin Mo obtained the Demon Vine Seed as a reward after clearing the seventh floor of the Skin Refining Tower, choosing it over a clone that would have retained eighty percent of his own strength. A drop of Lin Mo’s blood activated the ink-red seed; it dissolved into blood-like threads and parasitized his arm. The awakened entity was revealed to be a Special Grade Demonic Vine with immense growth potential but an exceptionally costly appetite for Beast Cores and rare treasures. 81
During field training on the Qinling Islands, the Demon Vine developed a clear telepathic connection with Lin Mo. It transformed into giant thorns to kill groups of Exotic Beasts, then consumed their flesh, blood, and Beast Cores in seconds. Its early growth required enormous quantities of prey; it still needed roughly thirty Level Seven Exotic Beasts for its first advancement. 87 88
In a spatial ruin, it battled and absorbed a stronger but lower-quality Demonic Vine that had parasitized a Calamity Green Snake. This assimilation gave it poison-related traits. After devouring the ruin creature and several Ninth Rank martial artists, it evolved, gained the strength to suppress peak Grandmasters, and unlocked the ability to create a clone. 104 105
Kruun later supplied Lin Mo with another Special Grade Demonic Vine Seed containing lightning power. The Demon Vine devoured it, incorporating lightning into its own abilities. It subsequently fused with the Undying Gene after consuming the Mountain Flood, gaining greatly enhanced regenerative power. 113 167
As Lin Mo entered the wider universe, the Demon Vine continued to evolve through resources, corpses, toxic mist, and defeated enemies. Its poison attribute was strengthened in the Myriad Poison Forest, while its lightning and immortality traits remained core parts of its growth. 217 218 263 After reaching the Virtual God Realm, Lin Mo left it on Earth as a permanent guardian. 398 415
Appearance
The Demon Vine began as an ink-red, walnut-sized seed before dissolving into fine blood-like threads inside Lin Mo’s arm. Its manifested form changes as it evolves, ranging from bio-armor and weaponized thorns to a massive tentacled monster. 81 87
- Young Form: Ink-red blood threads that form elastic, muscle-like bio-armor. 81
- Post-Undying Gene: Dark-gold coloration with occasional golden radiance. 167 182
- Elemental form: Dark-gold skin with a faint green glow from poison and visible arcs of lightning. 231
- Cosmic Sovereign form: Dark gold mixed with purple, carrying a heavier and more divine aura. 378
Personality
The Demon Vine is sentient and communicates with Lin Mo through telepathic thoughts. It consistently addresses him as “Master” or “Boss,” responds immediately to his commands, and displays clear excitement when permitted to consume powerful prey or rare resources. 87 105 182
Its strongest impulse is hunger. It repeatedly asks to devour Beast Cores, corpses, hostile cultivators, rare treasures, poison mist, and powerful life forms. Despite this ravenous nature, it demonstrates precise control when directed, such as avoiding humans who did not join an attack on Lin Mo. 87 167 263 285
Abilities & Skills
Parasitism and Bio-Armor
After blood-based parasitism, the Demon Vine resides within Lin Mo and can cover him in protective biological threads. 81
- Forms breathable, weightless, highly elastic ink-red armor. 81
- Can alter the armor into different styles of clothing or weapon-like forms. 81
- Integrates offense and defense without requiring Lin Mo to wield it manually. 81
Tendril Manipulation
The Demon Vine manifests large numbers of tendrils, thorns, and tentacles under Lin Mo’s mental command. 87 104
- Produces giant piercing thorns capable of instantly killing Level Five Exotic Beasts. 87
- Launches area-of-effect attacks in all directions, allowing rapid slaughter of groups. 87
- Entangles targets, seals escape routes, and impales enemies before draining them. 104 193
- Demonstrated enough precision to avoid noncombatants amid a chaotic mass attack. 285
Devouring
The Demon Vine consumes flesh, blood, life force, Beast Cores, rare treasures, poisonous mist, and the remains of powerful cultivators to grow. 87 104 263 378
- Rapidly shrivels victims into mummified corpses or leaves only their equipment behind. 104 285
- Uses consumed resources as nourishment for advancement. 81 88
- Can devour powerful same-level enemies, including Cosmic Level and World Lord targets. 265 335
- Its evolution requires immense resources, particularly because of its multiple elemental traits. 217
Regeneration and Immortal Power
The Demon Vine can regenerate destroyed threads until its energy reserves—and, by extension, Lin Mo’s blood and qi—are exhausted. 81
- Severed tendrils regenerate rapidly, even after repeated attacks from Apex-level opponents. 193
- Fused with the Undying Gene, multiplying its recovery speed and strengthening its life force. 167
- At Planetary Level, claimed that even Stellar-level experts could not destroy it. 182
Lightning, Poison, and Undying Attributes
The Demon Vine accumulated multiple attributes that are unusual for its species. 113 217 231
- Lightning Attribute — Acquired by devouring Kruun’s Special Grade lightning seed; its tendrils can strike with explosive electrical force. 113
- Poison Attribute — Originated from the ruin’s Demonic Vine and was later enhanced through poisonous resources and the Myriad Poison Forest’s mist. 104 217 263
- Undying Power — Gained through the Undying Gene, drastically enhancing regeneration and durability. 167 206
- Lin Mo chose to prioritize corrosive and paralyzing poison effects, considering them the most practical paths for development. 218
Clone Creation
The Demon Vine gained clone-making abilities after its first major evolution. 105
- Initially created one clone with roughly eighty percent of the main body’s strength. 105
- A clone could grow through independent feeding and eventually match the main body’s combat strength. 193
- At Tier 4, clones could instantly return and merge back into the main body. 206
- Rank Six manifestations could create further clones during combat. 231

- Ruin Demonic Vine — A hostile counterpart parasitizing a Calamity Green Snake; the Demon Vine consumed its essence and acquired poison-related traits. 104

Trivia
- Lin Mo initially rejected a reward that would have granted him a personal clone, only for the Demon Vine itself to later gain clone creation. 81 105
- The Demon Vine’s enormous appetite is repeatedly described as a major cost of cultivating it. 81 88 217
- Its combination of lightning, poison, and immortal power is considered highly abnormal for a Rank Six Special Grade Demonic Vine. 231
