Arc 4The Golden Seed’s New World

Mu En expanded the Valley of the Wind’s forces and sent teams toward Pejite, the Sea of Corruption, and a joint gathering while Kushana’s assault on Gurak City ended in catastrophe. His Golden Seed crossed into the world of Laputa, where Mu En met Pazu, Sheeta, and Dola’s gang, then chose Valley Town as a place to take root as soldiers began terrorizing its residents.

  • Lucian watched Yupa and the Blessed Warriors fight, then decided he wanted to become a blessed warrior too.
  • Beruto developed tofu and soybean oil, while Mito opened militia recruitment and Mog joined the recruits’ grueling training.
  • Mu En’s followers and craftspeople grew in number, and Mu En developed new combat incantations as the valley planned expeditions and refugee assistance.
  • Nausicaä organized parties for Pejite, the Sea of Corruption, and a joint gathering, then left Mito and Eliana to manage the valley.
  • Kushana captured Gurak City, where Governor Brenna transformed into a scarlet bloom that killed more than twenty thousand people, and the King of Torumekia used the disaster to expand Kushana’s authority.
  • Mu En’s Golden Seed crossed into another world and landed near Pazu and Sheeta, drawing them and Dola’s gang into a mine where a Fallingstar Beast attacked.
  • Mu En defeated the Fallingstar Beast, blessed Pazu, Sheeta, and Dola’s gang, and chose Valley Town as a place to take root.
  • Military forces and agents invaded Valley Town, robbed residents, and beat those who protested until Duffi returned from the mine with hundreds of miners.
Chapters 76–101 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 76Lucian's Troubles

Lucian struggled to focus during lessons because he dreamed of exploring the Sea of Corruption and finding his missing father. After class, Tom told him that the Blessed warriors would demonstrate their skills, and Lucian agreed to watch.

  • Lucian daydreamed about the Sea of Corruption and resolved to find his father there.
  • The teacher called on Lucian, who answered fifteen minus eight correctly before returning to his distracted thoughts.
  • Lucian finished his meal and headed toward his room instead of joining the other children at play.
  • Tom and Meili invited Lucian to watch the soldiers train and spar in the castle square.
  • Lucian agreed to go see whether the Blessed warriors lived up to the stories about them.

Ch. 77What Makes an Elite

Lucian watched Yupa criticize the militiamen’s training and demonstrate the discipline of the Blessed Warriors. The chapter ended as Yupa and the warriors prepared to fight in a promised challenge.

  • Lucian watched ten militiamen fire their rifles and practice swordplay, but judged their outdated weapons and lack of armor to be serious weaknesses.
  • Yupa rebuked the militiamen and challenged their idea of what an elite soldier should be.
  • Yupa summoned the Blessed Warriors Squad, whose precise movements and discipline impressed Lucian and the crowd.
  • Yupa drew his Ohmu Twin Swords and reminded the warriors that they would earn three days off if they defeated him.
  • Yupa and the Blessed Warriors began their fight.

Ch. 78The Battle of "Revenge"

Por, Kamlin, Elphias Doge, and the other blessed warriors challenged Yupa to a training-ground battle using only their bodies and swordsmanship, with Order's Blade permitted. Their coordinated attack initially pressed Yupa, but he wounded four warriors and broke the encirclement, leaving Por, Kamlin, and Elphias Doge to face him.

  • At Yupa's command, the blessed warriors formed a silent encirclement, with Por as the bait and Kamlin and Elphias Doge leading flanking groups.
  • Yupa rushed Por and spun through the first attack, shattering the swords of Kamlin's group before Elphias Doge's group forced him to spend his momentum.
  • Por summoned Order's Blade and charged Yupa, allowing the blessed warriors to begin a coordinated assault with golden sword light.
  • The warriors attacked in succession, using their coordination to block Yupa's escape routes and force him to defend from several directions.
  • Yupa severed one warrior's hand and injured three more, forcing all four out of the fight.
  • Por, Kamlin, and Elphias Doge remained back-to-back as Yupa's attacks overwhelmed their encirclement.

Ch. 79I Want to Become a Blessed Warrior Too!

The blessed warriors fought Yupa with a new tactic and forced him to concede after a massive golden sword trapped him. Watching their victory inspired Lucian and the other young people to want to become blessed warriors.

  • Yupa overpowered Por, Kamlin, and Elphias Doge, breaking Elphias Doge's blade and wounding Yupa with Kamlin's thrown weapon.
  • Kamlin and Por seized Yupa's arms and held him in place while the remaining three warriors prepared a new Order's Blade technique.
  • The three warriors formed a giant golden sword, which Elphias Doge swung at Yupa and the two warriors restraining him.
  • Yupa conceded before the giant sword struck, and the exhausted warriors celebrated their victory.
  • Lucian watched the warriors celebrate and decided he wanted to become a blessed warrior too.

Ch. 80Cute, fragrant, tender tofu

Beruto successfully recreated tofu from Mu En’s favor soybeans, discovering a nutritious new food for the Valley of the Wind. He looked forward to serving tofu dishes to the children under Mito.

  • Beruto experimented in the castle kitchen and watched soy milk separate into tofu pudding.
  • Beruto followed Mu En’s instructions, soaking and grinding favor soybeans, straining and boiling the soy milk, then adding limewater to make tofu pudding.
  • Beruto pressed the curds in a linen-lined wooden box and produced a firm, snowy-white block of tofu.
  • Beruto tasted the tofu, enjoyed its mild sweetness and fragrance, and imagined different ways to prepare it.
  • Beruto grinned as he thought of the treats awaiting the children under Mito.

Ch. 81I'm Such an Idiot, I Actually Complained That Vacation Was Boring

After three days of rest, Por, Kamlin, Elphias Doge, and the other Blessed Warriors returned to training and learned they would lead new recruits. Mog, inspired by Yupa's duel and the chance to become a Blessed Warrior, enlisted in the expanded militia.

  • Por and Kamlin found their vacation boring and admitted they missed the routine of training, though they feared sparring with Yupa again.
  • Yupa ended the ten Blessed Warriors' initial training and assigned them to train new militiamen and identify promising candidates.
  • Mog abandoned an introductory craftsman course after realizing it did not suit him and became inspired by watching Yupa's duel.
  • Chief Mito announced that eligible people could join the expanded militia, receive daily work points and meals, and compete for selection as Blessed Warriors.
  • Mog enlisted, hoping to distinguish himself in training and earn a chance at selection without paying work points.

Ch. 82Tricked

Mog and the other recruits endured exhausting posture drills and shuttle runs during their first militia training session, expecting weapons practice and extra food. As complaints rose, the smell of a delicacy drifted across the grounds.

  • Mog joined more than fifty recruits at the training grounds, where Por introduced a thirty-minute standing posture exercise in exchange for extra food.
  • The recruits struggled through the posture drill, then ran five laps along the wall under Por and Kamlin’s orders.
  • Mog collapsed after finishing the run, while Mito watched with two grannies and checked with Mu En about the difficulty of the training.
  • Mu En explained that the recruits needed demanding training and noted that preparations had been made to treat and feed them.
  • The recruits recovered, complained that they had been tricked into grueling exercises instead of weapons practice, and smelled a delicacy drifting over from nearby.

Ch. 83After Tomato and Tofu Stew, Not Even the Emperor, the King of Torumekia, Could Compare to Me

The recruits tasted Beruto’s tomato and tofu stew and were won over by its flavor as Mu En laid out a broader plan for their military training and education. The chapter ended with Por announcing that the afternoon’s push-ups and sit-ups would bring a dinner surprise.

  • Mog and the other recruits eagerly ate Beruto’s tomato and tofu stew, made with tofu from soybeans, and praised its taste.
  • Mu En told Mito to follow the full training plan, including combat skills, teamwork, and daily lessons in subjects such as geography, history, and mechanics.
  • Mito agreed to arrange for suitable books from the castle study to be made into simple textbooks.
  • Por announced that the recruits would do push-ups and sit-ups that afternoon and receive a surprise at dinner.

Ch. 84Everything Was Ready

Mu En monitored the Erdtree’s growth and the Valley of the Wind’s development while reviewing the Blessed’s research into combat uses for incantations. The craftspeople created Golden Power Hammer, and Mu En developed Wrath from Afar as a ranged attack.

  • Mu En sensed his Erdtree body and golden domain expanding as more than seven hundred believers supplied faith.
  • Mu En considered future housing and desert greening plans as immigrants and Valley of the Wind natives settled together in new wooden homes.
  • Mu En checked the Law Application Research Department through the Blessing Link and found that Gol and ten Blessed craftspeople had mastered the six basic incantations.
  • Gol and the craftspeople developed Golden Power Hammer, using Wrath of Gold to deliver powerful blows in close combat.
  • Mu En adapted an advanced Wrath of Gold technique into Wrath from Afar, which fired a forceful blast at a distance.

Ch. 85All That Remained Was the East Wind

Mu En reviewed the Valley of the Wind’s training, food production, and growing needs, then gathered the administrators to discuss three expeditions. The chapter ended as the valley prepared to seek Pejite refugees, trade for raw materials, and explore the Sea of Corruption.

  • Yupa put ten new Blessed Warriors through three days of brutal training, then organized the twenty warriors into two teams under Por and Kamlin.
  • Beruto reproduced soybean oil and expanded tofu production, giving the Valley of the Wind’s residents more food and keeping the kitchen busy.
  • Mu En recognized that the valley’s population, industrial supplies, and growth had reached a bottleneck.
  • Mu En and the administrators met to plan a mission to guide Pejite refugees to the valley, a caravan to obtain raw materials, and an expedition into the Sea of Corruption.

Ch. 86Three Teams, Three Directions

Nausicaä and the Valley of the Wind's elders planned three teams for a major mission, agreeing on a small expedition to the Sea of Corruption before arguing over how to handle Pejite's refugees and the joint assembly. The meeting ended in silence when Trudeau revealed that the princess would join the assembly party.

  • Mito presented a plan for a ten-person team led by Yupa to establish an outpost near the Sea of Corruption and test whether the Divine Tree's power would provoke a reaction.
  • The elders approved the first team's limited expedition, with a second group to follow if the route proved safe.
  • Eliana argued that the Valley of the Wind should recruit Pejite refugees and send the Blessed Warriors to deal with sand bandits, while Trudeau and Gol insisted the valley needed enough strength to protect its interests and secure industrial materials.
  • Trudeau announced that the princess would accompany the joint assembly party, leaving the hall silent as he challenged Eliana to accept responsibility if anything happened to her.

Ch. 87May I Hug You for a While?

Nausicaä finalized plans for the refugee mission and the joint gathering, then reported them to Mu En at the Erdtree. As she prepared to leave the next morning, she asked Mu En if she could hug him for a while.

  • Nausicaä decided to take five Blessed Warriors to the gathering and send fifteen with Meila to help refugees and investigate Pejite.
  • Kamlin was assigned to lead the refugee-receiving team, while Nausicaä led the caravan to the joint gathering with Por, Elphias Doge, and three other Blessed Warriors.
  • The meeting assigned both teams to spread faith in Mu En, and Nausicaä arranged for Mito and Eliana to manage the valley while she was away.
  • Nausicaä visited the Erdtree that night and reported the meeting's decisions and contingency plans to Mu En.
  • Mu En praised Nausicaä and offered her a reward, but she asked if she could hug him for a while.

Ch. 88Setting Out!

Nausicaä and the other parties set out from the Valley of the Wind on missions to gather people, resources, and knowledge. Mu En poured Runes into the nearly mature Golden Seed, which vanished after a brilliant flash, leaving him unsure what had happened.

  • Mu En comforted the exhausted Nausicaä beneath the Erdtree and helped her sleep through the night.
  • Nausicaä, Por, Eliana, Meila, Yupa, and the others prepared three parties and set out from the Valley of the Wind.
  • The parties split toward Pejite, the Sea of Corruption, and Mining Town, while Nausicaä worried about her missing father, Chief Jihl.
  • Mu En returned to the Stone Platform and found the Golden Seed ready to mature after absorbing Runes for a month.
  • Mu En poured a vast quantity of Runes into the Golden Seed, which unleashed a dazzling light and then disappeared.

Ch. 89War, war never changes

Kushana’s imperial forces launched their final assault on Gurak City, while Jihl and the Valley of the Wind gunships bombed the fortress defenses. As the gunships returned to camp, Jihl sensed an ominous presence inside the city.

  • Kushana ordered the imperial army to attack Gurak City after receiving no surrender messenger.
  • Twelve ancient gunships from the northern allies bombed the city and destroyed its last anti-aircraft strongpoint.
  • Jihl, chief of the Valley of the Wind and Nausicaä’s father, felt uneasy about an ominous presence in Gurak City.
  • Jihl ordered the gunships to return to camp, and the twelve aircraft flew north.

Ch. 90The Scarlet Bud Blooms on the Wasteland

Kushana captured Gurak City and confronted the rebel leader Brenna, who unleashed a scarlet fungal weapon that destroyed the city. Later records reported that Kushana alone survived the catastrophe, while the city became a scarlet realm avoided by the insects of the Sea of Corruption.

  • Kushana's forces took Gurak City after meeting little resistance, and she ordered them to kill anyone who resisted and secure every corner before nightfall.
  • Kushana questioned the captured Governor Brenna, who condemned her for serving the usurper and revealed her desire to avenge her sister.
  • Brenna was shot by imperial soldiers, but scarlet mist poured from her wounds and infected her remaining followers.
  • Brenna transformed and unleashed a vast scarlet bloom that consumed Gurak City and the surrounding wasteland.
  • Later historical records stated that more than twenty thousand people died, Kushana survived for unknown reasons, and insects avoided the scarlet-covered ruins.

Ch. 91Fire of Ambition

The King of Torumekia learned that Kushana had survived the destruction of Gurak City and chose to protect and strengthen her position rather than punish her. He planned to use the disaster to stir support against Dorok and pursued intelligence about the Giant God Warrior in Pejite.

  • A minister reported that Gurak City and its surroundings had been destroyed by a scarlet fungus and that Kushana had been found unconscious outside the gates.
  • The King of Torumekia refused to recall or punish Kushana, reasoning that her death could expose damaging evidence and provoke his opponents.
  • The King ordered an edict praising Kushana and granting her additional assistants and authority over the northern allies.
  • The King instructed the minister to spread the claim that Dorok had funded the rebels and caused the disaster, and to promote the story through plays.
  • The King gave the minister a secret letter containing intelligence from Pejite and focused on the Giant God Warrior as the weapon he wanted to secure.

Ch. 93Castle in the Sky, Laputa!

Mu En discovered that his mature Golden Seed had passed through the depths of the Stone Platform and become an active avatar in outer space. As it descended toward an unfamiliar planet, he realized the Stone Platform might connect worlds, and he spotted the floating city of Laputa.

  • Mu En searched the Stone Platform for his missing Golden Seed and sensed it beneath the waterlike surface.
  • Mu En projected his consciousness into the seed and found it in the void above an unfamiliar planet, where it could act but could not receive Runes from his main body.
  • Mu En used Rune energy to survey the planet and shielded the seed from the heat of atmospheric entry.
  • Mu En inferred that the Stone Platform might connect worlds where other Erdtree stood as the seed descended through a storm cloud.
  • Mu En saw a city floating above the clouds and identified it as Castle in the Sky, Laputa.

Ch. 94Sheeta and Pazu

Pazu and Sheeta escaped Dola’s Gang on a steam train, only to discover that the military agents were also trying to capture Sheeta. As the children were trapped between the soldiers and the sky pirates, a golden meteor descended into the gorge.

  • Dola and her gang chased Pazu and Sheeta’s steam train through Railcar Valley.
  • Pazu detached the coal cars to slow the pirates, and Sheeta knocked two of their men down with a coal shovel.
  • Pazu and Sheeta reached an armored military train, but Sheeta fled when agents came out to seize her.
  • Pazu tripped the pursuing agents and followed Sheeta, while the train driver distracted soldiers with steam from the boiler.
  • Dola’s Gang caught up from behind as the children faced the military ahead, and a golden meteor plunged from the sky.

Ch. 95About How I Crashed into the Child of the World When I Landed

Mu En’s Golden Seed plunged into the mining town where Pazu and Sheeta were fleeing, narrowly missing them before crashing into a mine. The railroad tracks collapsed, and Sheeta’s necklace slowed the fall of Pazu, Dola, and her gang, leaving them to descend into the mine as the world’s course changed.

  • Mu En recognized Pazu’s mining town as the Golden Seed hurtled toward the canyon and saw Pazu and Sheeta trapped beneath it.
  • Mu En used the Shield of Immutability and Wrath of Gold to slow the seed, which missed the children and plunged into the mine.
  • The damaged railroad tracks began collapsing, and Dola led her gang toward Pazu and Sheeta as everyone tried to escape.
  • The tracks gave way, sending Pazu, Sheeta, Dola, and five sky pirates falling into the mine.
  • Sheeta’s necklace released blue light that slowed all eight of their falls, and Dola recognized it as the power of Volucite.
  • The soldiers ordered Colonel Muska to be notified and the railroad canyon mining area sealed off.

Ch. 96No Place to Plant a Tree

Mu En fell into Railcar Valley’s abandoned mine and was picked up by Dola, while Sheeta and Pazu wandered deeper underground. The children reached an old miners’ camp, where someone demanded Sheeta’s Volucite.

  • Mu En landed in a mine tunnel and failed to attract Sheeta and Pazu’s attention as they ran deeper into the mine.
  • Dola found Mu En among the rubble, mistook him for a valuable object, and put him in her waist pouch before pursuing the children.
  • Sheeta told Pazu about her home in Gondoa Valley, her parents, and how the Volucite had saved her after she fell from an airship.
  • Pazu and Sheeta reached an old miners’ camp, where a hoarse voice demanded that Sheeta hand over her stone.

Ch. 97Is This the Right Script?

Dola captured Pazu and Sheeta and tried to learn how to use Sheeta’s necklace, but its power awakened glowing Volucite veins in the mine. The cavern erupted with purple energy, and a Fallingstar Beast emerged, leaving the sky pirates and children in danger.

  • Dola’s sky pirates captured Pazu and Sheeta, bound them, and took Sheeta’s Levitation Stone Necklace.
  • Dola questioned Sheeta about the necklace and Laputa, but Sheeta refused to tell her anything.
  • The necklace resonated with Volucite veins in the cavern, filling the mine with blue light as Dola recognized their connection.
  • The blue lights turned purple and spread into electrical arcs, while Mu En recognized signs of Gravity Sorcery from Elden Ring.
  • A Fallingstar Beast burst through the ground, and Dola ordered everyone to run.

Ch. 98The Wheels Roll On

Dola and the sky pirates fled the Fallingstar Beast through the mine tunnels, but their weapons and grenades failed to stop it. The beast caught up in a gravity-powered rolling form, leaving the group trapped in a tunnel with nowhere to hide.

  • The Fallingstar Beast charged Dola, and the sky pirates' bullets and hand cannons failed to damage its rocky shell.
  • Dola dodged the beast and threw grenades as the group ran into a mine tunnel, briefly escaping while the beast struggled free.
  • Dola questioned Pazu about the creature, and he explained that the tracks led to the entrance of the largest old mine pit beneath Railway Valley.
  • The group followed the main tunnel uphill until they heard the Fallingstar Beast rolling after them.
  • The beast curled into a spiked stone wheel and used gravity magic to roll rapidly through the tunnel, flattening the rails and smashing through the walls.
  • Dola and the sky pirates fired their remaining weapons as they ran, but the tunnel left them nowhere to hide from the approaching wheel.

Ch. 99I Can Negotiate Too, I Can Be a Believer Too!

Mu En drove off the Fallingstar Beast and offered Pazu and Sheeta supernatural strength in exchange for serving the Erdtree. After the children defeated Dola's air pirates, Dola tried to negotiate for her gang to become believers too.

  • Mu En used [Wrath from Afar] to damage the Fallingstar Beast, which fled through a blocked passage.
  • Mu En introduced himself as the Erdtree and asked the survivors to become his representative and spread his faith.
  • Pazu offered to serve the Erdtree if Mu En freed him and Sheeta, and Mu En granted both children Blessed Dew.
  • Pazu and Sheeta broke their ropes and defeated the five air pirates with their new strength.
  • Dola offered to make herself and her gang believers in the Erdtree.

Ch. 100Greedy Dola

Mu En blessed Dola as one of the Erdtree’s people, then used the runes in her body to stop her when she tried to take control of Pazu and Sheeta. With the sky pirates subdued and newly bound to the Erdtree, Mu En decided to travel with Pazu and Sheeta to Valley Town to find a place to take root.

  • Dola argued that she and her crew could spread faith farther than Pazu and Sheeta, and Mu En granted her the Erdtree’s blessing.
  • Dola felt the Blessed Dew heal and rejuvenate her, then asked Mu En to put Pazu and Sheeta under her control.
  • Mu En froze Dola’s body through the runes in her, forcing her to kneel, while her three sons and the sky pirates pleaded for mercy.
  • Mu En released Dola and warned that all the Erdtree’s people were equal, and the sky pirates agreed to work alongside Pazu and Sheeta.
  • Mu En chose Valley Town as a place to take root, and Sheeta caught him as he drifted down while Pazu agreed to lead the way.

Ch. 101An Unprovoked Calamity

General Mouro’s soldiers and intelligence agents invaded Valley Town, ransacking homes and demanding information about Sheeta. As the townspeople endured beatings and the destruction of their homes, Pazu’s master Duffi returned with hundreds of miners and ordered the soldiers to stop.

  • Three pulse-jet fighters circled Valley Town, and intelligence agents arrived as military trucks brought more than a hundred soldiers into town.
  • The soldiers forced residents from their homes, robbed them, and gathered more than a thousand people in the street while agents showed Sheeta’s photograph and offered a reward for information.
  • When the townspeople stayed silent, an agent posing as a mining union adviser threatened them, and soldiers beat residents who protested.
  • The soldiers continued ransacking homes, smashing belongings and stealing valuables as the sun sank.
  • Duffi returned from the mine with hundreds of miners carrying their tools, saw the soldiers’ abuses, and shouted for everyone to stop.
