Ch. 466A Grand Gift

Sean left Planet Eater after giving him the coordinates of a living planet as a gift, then joined the gathering before Reed and Susan's wedding. With the Infinity Stones and Thanos in mind, Sean planned to hunt the mad Titan and considered using Planet Eater and his Heralds against Ego.

  • Sean gave Planet Eater the coordinates of a self-aware planet, and Planet Eater summoned Silver Surfer to gather Stardust, Firelord, and Tyrant for the meal.
  • Sean told Reed and Susan's rooftop gathering that he had persuaded Planet Eater to leave the Milky Way through love and peace, while Tony went to speak with Pepper.
  • Sean reflected on his allies and planned to find Thanos after Nebula brought Gamora to Earth and revealed the location of Ego's planet.
  • Sean recalled that Ego was a self-aware Celestial who planned to consume planets and merge with them, and decided Planet Eater and his Heralds could stop him.

Ch. 467Twilight of a Fading Age

Sean met Odin in Norway as the King of Asgard faced the end of his life and reflected on his past. Odin vanished in a burst of divine light, leaving Sean to carry his final message to Thor as Asgard mourned.

  • Odin recalled his rise to power, his wars across the Nine Realms, and Asgard's former glory.
  • Odin told Sean that Thor had gone to the Fire Realm to stop Ragnarok after seeing fragments of the future.
  • Sean explained that Strange's magical network had detected Odin and said he would do his best to secure Asgard's future, though he would not promise to reconcile Hela and Thor.

  • Odin's body dissolved into golden light, while Heimdall and Asgard's people mourned his death.

Ch. 468A First Meeting Between Sister and Brother

  • Heimdall used the Bifrost to transport Thor away, while Hela turned toward the Asgardian Legion with black swords gathered behind her.

Ch. 470Journey to Sakaar

Sean found Thor on Sakaar, where the defeated Asgardian had become a favored gladiator, and urged him to return and fight Hela. Sean then questioned the Grandmaster about Thanos and demanded to know what information the Mad Titan had learned from him.

  • Sean visited Thor in his luxurious quarters and learned that Thor had lost an eye, Mjolnir, and hope of escaping Sakaar.
  • Sean told Thor that Sif had escaped Asgard with Heimdall’s help and found S.H.I.E.L.D., then challenged Thor to stop surrendering and save his people.

  • Sean left Thor and met with the Grandmaster, who offered no objection to Sean taking Thor away.
  • Sean asked the Grandmaster about Taneleer Tivan and then demanded to know what information Thanos had obtained from him.

Ch. 471Thanos's Purpose

Sean prepared to return to Asgard with Thor, Valkyrie, Loki, and Beta Ray Bill, while considering Loki’s claim to the throne. On the flagship, Sean investigated a decade-old Boston nuclear plant explosion and connected its sole survivor, Owen Reece, to Molecule Man as he suspected Thanos was planning something.

  • Thor chose to return to Asgard with Valkyrie, while Loki and Beta Ray Bill joined Sean aboard his flagship.
  • Sean warned Loki to behave and suggested that loyalty could earn him a share of Asgard’s throne.
  • Sean told Skynet to retrieve records about the Boston nuclear power plant explosion ten years earlier.
  • Sean learned that Owen Reece had survived the Particle Generator blast and recognized him as Molecule Man.
  • Sean wondered what surprise Thanos was preparing as he considered the links between Molecule Man, the Beyonders, and the Celestials’ disappearance.

Ch. 472The Einherjar

Sean, Thor, Valkyrie, and Loki returned to Asgard to confront Hela, whose power grew as long as she remained in the realm. Hela sensed the newcomers and raised an army of einherjar to test Thor’s claim to the throne.

  • Heimdall welcomed Thor and explained that he had hidden Asgard’s civilians in a mountain fortress while Hela seized the realm.
  • Sean recognized that Hela drew strength from Asgard, and Thor resolved to send her back to Hel if they defeated her.
  • Sean, Thor, Valkyrie, and Loki crossed the empty city and entered the royal palace, where Sean said Hela already knew they had arrived.
  • Hela recalled her hatred of Odin for ending Asgard’s conquests and vowed to restore the realm’s former glory.
  • Hela used the Eternal Flame to awaken the dead Asgardian warriors beneath the palace and sent the einherjar to challenge Thor.

Ch. 473Asgard's Prime-Time Drama

Sean and Thor fought through Hela’s resurrected Einherjar army in Asgard, while Thor rediscovered his thunder power without Mjolnir. Sean then confronted Hela and used the Aether to extinguish the souls of the remaining Einherjar.

  • Hela resurrected the Einherjar, and Sean asked Thor whether they might recognize him as Odin’s son, but Thor said they would not stop even for Odin.
  • Sean used the Aether to turn charging Einherjar to dust while Valkyrie and Thor fought them, and Loki stayed behind.
  • Thor heard Odin’s voice, regained control of his thunder power without Mjolnir, and blasted through the Einherjar surrounding him.
  • Thor joined Sean in clearing the Einherjar as Loki reflected that Asgard did not belong to him and questioned its future alongside Earth.
  • Sean reached the royal palace, faced Hela, and unleashed the Aether to extinguish the remaining Einherjar’s soul flames.

Sean watched Thor challenge Hela for Asgard, but Hela quickly defeated him. After Thor asked for help, Sean invoked Earth’s authority to intervene and transported Hela away from Asgard to fight her elsewhere.

  • Hela confronted Thor and ordered Fenrir to attack, while Valkyrie drew the wolf away from the hall.
  • Thor fought Hela with lightning, but she defeated him, pinned him down, and mocked his claim to Asgard’s throne.
  • Sean intervened as Earth’s representative, arguing that Earth was an Asgardian ally and had the right to take part in the succession dispute.
  • Hela rejected Sean’s claims and vowed to restore Asgard by conquering the Nine Realms.
  • Sean unleashed the Infinity Stones’ power and transported Hela away from Asgard, following her and leaving Thor and Loki in the ruined hall.

  • Sean transported Hela to Hel, where she attacked him with a storm of black swords.
  • Sean used the Power Stone to destroy Hela's swords and battered her with energy blasts until she yielded.
  • Sean told Hela that Asgard needed a steady king and offered her a choice between remaining imprisoned and submitting.
  • Hela rejected submission to Thor or Loki and chose to serve Sean as ruler of Midgard.
  • Hela offered to become Sean's queen, and Sean responded with interest.

Ch. 476The Last Stone

Sean helped establish a three-kingdom order in the Nine Realms, crowning Thor, Loki, and Hela to lead Asgard, Jotunheim, and the Pioneer Legion. After returning to Earth, he learned Gamora knew the Soul Stone’s location and used the Mind Stone to find Vormir.

  • Sean returned to Earth and found Nebula and her captive sister, Gamora, at the Umbrella Building.
  • Gamora refused to reveal the Soul Stone’s location, so Sean read her memories with the Mind Stone and discovered its coordinates on Vormir.

Ch. 477Self

Sean reached Vormir to claim the Soul Stone and discovered its price was the soul he loved most. He sacrificed Void, his other self, obtained all six Infinity Stones, and prepared to end the conflict with Thanos.

  • Sean arrived on Vormir, where Red Skull recognized him and explained that the Soul Stone required a sacrifice of what he loved most.
  • Sean realized that he loved only himself and transformed into Void, accepting his destructive other self as part of who he was.
  • Sean used the five Infinity Stones to separate Void from his body and offered him as the sacrifice for the Soul Stone.
  • Sean snapped Void's neck and dropped his body onto Vormir's altar, causing the Soul Stone to appear in his hand.
  • Sean placed the Soul Stone in the Infinity Gauntlet, reached the single-universe level, and developed his Sentinel Force to one hundred percent.
  • Sean declared that he would end things with Thanos, then snapped his fingers.

Ch. 478Across Time and Space, Standing in the Future

Sean used the Infinity Gauntlet to trace the future and discovered that Thanos and Molecule Man had devastated civilizations across the universe. He confronted Thanos on Titan and killed the Black Order’s generals, leaving Thanos to face him.

  • Sean asked Thanos about the Beyonders, Molecule Man, and the slaughter of the empires.

Ch. 480Supreme Gods and Those Beyond All

On Titan, Thanos explained how his attempt to impose balance through mass death had led him to seek the universe’s ultimate destruction. He shattered Titan to draw the creator gods’ attention, and the Beyonders descended through a rift.

  • Sean told Thanos that, without Sean’s interference, Thanos could still gather the Infinity Stones and wipe out half the universe’s life.
  • Thanos recounted how Titan’s destruction and the repeating cycle of expansion and war led him to believe that death could create order.
  • Thanos admitted that killing half of all life would not end scarcity or conflict, and declared that he would rather burn the forest and destroy the cycle.
  • Five creator gods—Eternity, Oblivion, Infinity, Death, and Planet Eater—appeared as Thanos shattered Titan to summon them.
  • A vast rift opened in the void, and the Beyonders descended amid the universe’s turmoil.

Ch. 481The Destruction and End of the Multiverse

Sean witnessed the Beyonders destroy the multiverse’s gods and nearly every universe before Thanos revealed his plan to kill them and create a new universe. Thanos destroyed the Beyonders with Sanctuary II, but Owen Reece emerged and disintegrated Sean.

  • Thanos sent Sanctuary II into the rift, and its explosion destroyed the Beyonders emerging from beyond the universe.
  • Owen Reece appeared and disintegrated Sean at the molecular level as Thanos declared that this was Sean’s end.

Ch. 482This Is Not the End (Finale)

Sean learned from Stan Lee that the Beyonders were only a prelude to a collision between two multiverses, and he awakened the Heart of the Universe to prepare for the coming game. Later, he lived with Jean and their family, then set out to retrieve Chloe after learning she planned to sneak into the other multiverse and take the Seven Lantern Corps’ rings.

  • Sean returned to his high school body in Central Park, where Stan Lee revealed that he had brought Sean to the universe and given him the golden potion to make him a multiversal Watchman.
  • Stan Lee explained that Thanos had killed the Beyonders and was rebuilding the multiverse, but warned Sean that two multiverses were drawing together and would eventually collide.
  • Stan Lee told Sean he had already given him the means to face the crisis, and Sean awakened the Heart of the Universe.
  • Sean and Jean examined a chessboard representing the other multiverse, including its heroes, villains, Lantern Corps, and a black-haired figure Sean identified as another player.
  • Jean told Sean that Chloe had snuck out again and planned to find the colorful rings for Kari’s unborn child, so Sean vanished from the bedchamber to retrieve her.
