Injury and attempted transformation

The Snow Empress was born from the snowy plains as a Heavenly Snow Woman and became ruler of the Far North. Hidden damage from her sixth great tribulation gradually developed into a difficult-to-heal origin injury, aggravated by continued cultivation and her actions during the collision of the continents. With the seventh great tribulation approaching, she sought an alternative to dying as a Soul Beast 22 23.

She obtained a hundred-thousand-year Immortal Herb-grade snow lotus and erased its consciousness, apologizing and promising repayment if another life existed. Using a secret method, she began preparing to transform into a human. Although dangerous, she considered this safer than facing her next tribulation 22.

Confrontation over the Ice Empress

Soul Power released by Wu Chi exposed a concealed Star Luo hunting party near her retreat. Concerned that the intruders might slaughter the Far North’s Soul Beasts, she unleashed her power and drove them into flight. She then sensed Tian Meng’s returned presence and abandoned her transformation plan, believing his million-year spiritual reserves could help both herself and the Ice Empress survive their tribulations 22.

Finding Tian Meng helping humans recruit the Ice Empress, she accused him of betraying the Far North. She demanded his power and freed the Ice Empress from his spiritual restraint. However, the Ice Empress’s willingness to hear Huo Yuhao out, his exceptional Martial Souls, and Electrolux’s divine consciousness forced her to reconsider a direct confrontation 22 23.

She initially rejected Huo Yuhao’s offer of shared immortality and preferred to pursue transformation independently. Her position changed after he presented the Soul Spirit Method: it offered the possibility of preserving both Empresses’ consciousnesses and reducing conflict between humans and Soul Beasts 23 24.

Sacrifice and survival

After Electrolux guaranteed that their consciousnesses would remain intact, the Snow Empress chose to become Huo Yuhao’s Martial Soul while the Ice Empress became his Soul Spirit. Her sacrifice first formed a torso Soul Bone, but the portion of her origin already transforming toward humanity conflicted with her Soul Beast origin and threatened to destroy Huo Yuhao’s body 24.

Electrolux directed the Ice Empress to sacrifice herself as well, using her power and Tian Meng’s reserves to buffer the instability. The two Empresses’ origins ultimately fused into Ice Master, while the Snow Empress’s consciousness survived within Huo Yuhao. She subsequently helped him understand the new power and explained that another Soul Skill would appear once their origins had fused further 25 26.

Appearance

The Snow Empress appears as a tall, well-proportioned girl of seventeen or eighteen, with an aloof bearing and the oppressive presence of an ancient ruler 22.

Personality

Proud and self-reliant, the Snow Empress initially prefers the risks of human transformation to dependence on Huo Yuhao. She treats Tian Meng’s apparent assistance in hunting the Ice Empress as a betrayal of their homeland, distinguishing disputes among Soul Beasts from helping humans prey upon them 22 23.

Her responsibility toward the Far North tempers her aggression. She avoids a battle with Electrolux that could devastate the ice plains, and her first concern after studying the Soul Spirit Method is whether it could be shared more widely to preserve Soul Beasts’ dignity and ease hostility with humans 23 24.

She is also pragmatic about survival. Before committing to sacrifice, she seeks Electrolux’s explicit assurance that both her consciousness and the Ice Empress’s will remain intact 24.
