"Hmm... Are they hunting again? How boring.
But I might as well go take a look now. The Straw Hat Pirates' navigator... Cat Burglar Nami!!!"
Just as Luo Chen turned his attention this way, he noticed Nami approaching, while a minor lackey was fleeing through the forest in a panic.
The man was one of the intruders from some time ago. He had entered Sacred Land Upper Yard in search of treasure and had been sentenced to death. Unexpectedly, one person had escaped punishment and wandered around the forest until Enel discovered him and told them to carry out his punishment: death.
He was desperately trying to escape, but he hadn't managed it. Behind him, the four priests followed at an unhurried pace, attacking him from time to time. Unable to stop, he could only run for his life, and they were steadily drawing closer to Nami's location.
"It's time I went to see what this world's child of destiny is like. Will he make the same decision and defeat Enel?
Hahaha, I'm really curious!!!"
As he spoke, his feet never stopped moving. He quickly used Soru on the spot, and his figure soon vanished, flashing repeatedly through the forest.
"Huff, huff, huff!!!
Damn it."
A ragged man ran barefoot through the forest, then turned and hid beneath a large tree, gasping for breath and cursing under his breath.
"Whoosh!"
"Whoosh!!!"
The priest Ohm climbed along the branches to the top of a nearby tree. Looking down at the man's hiding place, he said,
"You have nowhere left to run. Give up, intruder!!!"
The man hid off to the side, thinking Ohm hadn't noticed him, and didn't respond.
"Whoosh!!!"
"Woof!!!"
Suddenly, a huge white dog sprang out beside him and opened its jaws to bite him.
"Ugh... Damn it."
The man dodged its gaping jaws and kept running.
"Whoosh!"
As he ran, Shura swooped down from the sky on the Three-Jo Bird and thrust his spear at him several times, but the man dodged every strike.
Along the way, the priests kept attacking the man. Whether they did it on purpose or he was simply skilled, he dodged every attack. At last, the group reached the edge at the far end of the island.
"Hmph! What's wrong? Not running anymore?"
The priests had finally caught up to the man and surrounded him, leaving him nowhere to escape.
Meanwhile, Nami, riding her Waver, heard the priests hunting him down. Frightened, she hurriedly hid by a rock wall and listened to their conversation.
What's going on? Why are those strange people chasing that man?
Watching the scene, Nami silently wondered to herself, doing her best to stay hidden for fear they would discover her.
Just as the four priests were once again arguing fiercely over who would get their prey, the man sneaked out to the shore, hoping to find someone else to ask for help.
"Hmph!!! Are they having another pointless fight?"
A figure shot out of the forest and landed steadily on a branch of a large tree not far from them. Watching their ridiculous infighting, he shook his head and spoke.
"Moo!!!"
The sound of a pair of skates rang out, and Wyper, a warrior wearing a bull-head mask, suddenly appeared behind Nami. He hoisted a cannon and aimed it at the priests. Under Nami's shocked gaze, he pulled the trigger, sending a shell hurtling toward them.
"Tch!!!"
The priests had evidently spotted him too. Each of them leaped aside, dodging the shell. The dust and smoke from the explosion obscured all their vision, and the man spotted Nami and reached out to her for help.
"Please, save me!!!"
"Huh?! But this Waver of mine can only carry one person."
Nami replied to his plea.
"Damn it. In that case, I'll kill you and take it."
Seeing that she couldn't carry him too, the man spoke viciously, preparing to seize Nami's Waver and ride it away himself.
"Boom!!!"
Before he could act, a massive bolt of lightning descended from the sky and engulfed him.
The trees and earth around him were destroyed along with him. The dazzling blue light made it impossible to look directly at the spot, and thick smoke billowed out. Waves rolled across the sea of clouds, sweeping Nami and her Waver away.
"Hmm... Has Enel made a move too? After all that fighting, someone else got to their prey first anyway."
Luo Chen was still standing there, watching the lightning attack Enel had unleashed.
"Damn it. That bastard Enel destroyed more precious vearth."
Wyper, wearing his bull-head mask, spoke in a low voice after seeing Enel's lightning.
"Boom!!!"
Before he could act, another bolt of lightning fell from the sky, shooting straight toward him.
"Moo!!!"
Wyper rode away on his skates, while Nami took advantage of the chaos to steer her Waver out of the Sacred Land.
But she didn't notice a pair of eyes watching her from the shadows, seeing her every move clearly. The moment she left, Luo Chen followed her.
"Hehe, now that she's left too, I should follow her and see. Just how strong are you now? Can you defeat him after he's grown stronger?
Hmm, forget it. Never mind them. Following Nami comes first."
Luo Chen spoke as he watched Nami depart, then looked back at the priests. A group of divine soldiers were putting out the flames, while the priests stood to one side talking.
But he wasn't interested in their conversation. It was nothing more than things he already knew, like Enel's plan about to begin and the arrival of new intruders. So he silently followed Nami, letting her lead him to the Straw Hat group.
Meanwhile, on the shore of the White Sea by the town, Luffy and his group had learned that the god here would convict them for entering illegally. They went to the shore where their ship was docked and sat down to wait for Nami to return safely.
As the group played around while waiting for Nami, Sky Island's guards crawled up in front of them.
"Hello, Heso!"
The captain of the White Berets led his men in greeting and saluting Conis and her father. Their salute was strange, though: they put one hand on their heads with the index and little fingers raised. The whole thing looked rather comical.
"Hello to you too, Heso!"
Father and daughter returned the greeting, but Luffy couldn't make any sense of what they were saying.
"What are you saying? Why can't I understand a word of it?"
He spoke up from the side.
"You're the intruders Prosecutor Granny Amazon spoke of, aren't you?"
The captain walked over and questioned them.
After explanations and persuasion from Usopp, Chopper, and the others, the matter was put on hold until Nami arrived.
Then, after a series of events, more and more charges were piled onto their group. Just as both sides were about to fight, Nami finally returned.
"Everyone, listen to me! Whatever you do, don't fight them. Leave everything to me."
Nami called to them as she approached from a distance on her Waver.
"But they're so annoying. I'm going to beat them-mmph!"
Seeing Nami, Luffy immediately blurted out what was on his mind, but before he could finish, Usopp clapped a hand over his mouth.
"Nami, you're back just in time! Quick, use your savings to pay the seven-million-Beli illegal entry fee!"
Usopp shouted excitedly to Nami.
"That's great, we just have to pay the fine. Just seven million Beli..."
Nami's expression was joyful at first, but after she heard the amount, her face gradually darkened. She slammed her right foot down on the accelerator, and her Waver roared forward and sent the captain flying. Only then did she react.
The sight left Luo Chen, who was behind her, speechless.
"Uh, I guess that's Nami for you. She values money more than her life."
