The audience noticed that the two had stopped and started a heated discussion. The two had been moving very fast, much faster than most of the onlookers, but from a distance, some of their movements were still visible.
This time, it was Bastille who launched the first attack. He vanished from his spot and instantly appeared in front of Rebecca.
The Six Powers of Shave were used quite well, but Rebecca is a person who can use Observation Haki. She had already anticipated Bastille's attack, which was a frontal slash with great force, just like Bastille's old tricks.
Rebecca has Observation Haki, so there's enough time. There's no need to take Bastille's frontal slash head-on, since this tall guy is quite strong.
Rebecca shifted two steps to the side, dodging the long saw blade. The blade offered no resistance and cleaved the ground, creating a large crater and sending the soil flying up from either side of the blade.
Rebecca seized an opening in Bastille's attack and slashed at Bastille waist with her sword, but Bastille was no novice.
"Bite"
Rebecca's sword was blocked by Bastille's Armament Haki. Although Bastille did not have Observation Haki, he still knew how to Kami-e and could sense things at close range.
"This bull-headed uncle has actually Awakening Armament Haki. Unless his swordsmanship improves, there's really no way to break through his Armament Haki defense!"
"This little girl is indeed extraordinary. Judging from her reaction just now, that should be Observation Haki. It's just a pity that I'm really not good at Observation Haki; I haven't Awakening yet!"
The thoughts flashed through their minds in an instant. The battle continued, and Bastille became even more serious, attacking without any mercy.
"Bite"
"Clang"
"Clang"
"Bite"
The two were truly evenly matched. Rebecca had Observation Haki, making it difficult for Bastille to hit Rebecca body. Bastille had Armament Haki, so even if Rebecca managed to strike him, it wouldn't have much effect. The two exchanged rapid blows.
Rebecca dodged Bastille's sword once again, kicked Bastille away, and then instantly disappeared from her spot, appearing above Bastille before he landed, and thrusting her sword towards Bastille's throat.
"Bite"
Bastille's throat turned black, and he was slammed into the ground, creating a large crater. He blocked the fatal blow, but a drop of blood still flowed from his throat. Bastille rolled backward and left the spot, cold sweat already appearing on his forehead.
"This little girl is really fierce; every move is deadly. If it weren't for my Armament Haki, I probably would have been torn to pieces by now. But my Armament Haki is almost gone. Should I admit defeat? But where would my pride be if I admitted defeat to a little girl?"
Bastille's Armament Haki hadn't Awakening for very long, and his reserves weren't very large. Under Rebecca's fierce and swift attacks, it was about to run out quickly.
"Is Uncle Bull's Haki about to crumble? Then victory in this battle belongs to me!"
Rebecca, realizing this, immediately perked up. The fatigue from fighting for half a day vanished, and the balance of power shifted. Now it was Rebecca's turn to take the lead.
Bastille was in great pain. His Haki was no longer very effective, and the all-powerful Tekkai couldn't stop him. Small wounds had already appeared on his body, and Bastille could only dodge around.
"Uncle Bullhead, you can't beat me, just admit defeat and stop resisting, hahahaha!" Rebecca attacked both physically and verbally.
"Don't joke around, do you think I, a dignified Brigadier General Bastiyu, would lose to a little brat like you? Dream on!" Bastiyu was truly a master of stubbornness, refusing to admit defeat even after being slashed so many times.
"You..."
Rebecca was furious. Calling her a brat really enraged her, and her attacks became even more intense. She hated Bastille so much that she couldn't stop her.
" Vic, Bastille is in danger. You're fast, so keep an eye on him and make sure Rebecca doesn't kill him!" Zephyr said to Vic beside him.
Zephyr was truly impressed by this disciple. Even at this point, he still dared to provoke his opponent. He was courting death. It would be too shameful for him to go out and call himself his disciple. For a moment, Zephyr felt that it wouldn't be bad if his disciple died here, but then he felt extremely guilty!
"Okay, teacher, I'll keep an eye on it," Vic replied with a smile.
Bastille was in a panic and suddenly used a cheating move called " Geppo." Yes, Rebecca didn't know this move, so to Rebecca, it was cheating.
However, Rebecca's pursuit of Bastille showed no signs of stopping, and without realizing it, Rebecca followed Bastille into the sky.
Rebecca followed closely behind Bastille. Once Bastille was in the air, he felt safe and subconsciously relaxed. However, he was unaware that the longsword behind him was getting closer and closer to his neck.
By the time he came to his senses and realized the sound of his footsteps was wrong, it was too late to dodge the sword. Bastille's eyes widened, and the sword reflected in his eyes grew larger and larger. In that instant, he was so shocked that he lost his ability to react, and the next moment, he was decapitated.
The people around stared wide-eyed in astonishment. Rebecca was about to kill Brigadier General Bastey directly! They were all stunned, as if the scene had frozen.
"Clang"
The sound of metal clashing echoed throughout the training ground as a long sword was held before Bastille's neck, saving Bastille.
"What's with this speed?" This was the only thought that flashed through Bastille's mind as he stared at the longsword that suddenly appeared before him, blocking the deadly blue blade. He was utterly shocked!
Is this all the power Vic has? Thank goodness I didn't spar with Vic!
" Rebecca, this sparring session is over, you can go now!" Vic said to a somewhat bewildered Rebecca.
"Ah! How did I end up in the sky?" Rebecca only then realized that she was in the air, and then she fell backward.
Vic had no choice but to follow with Geppo, catch Rebecca around the waist, and land safely with her.
"Didn't you just learn Geppo? How did you fall down from there again?" Vic said helplessly to Rebecca, who was clinging to his neck.
"Huh? I can Geppo? I have absolutely no recollection of it, I don't know!" Rebecca said innocently, it was unclear whether she really didn't know or was pretending not to.
"Alright, whether you know it or not, let me go first, you're choking me to death!"
"Ah..."
Rebecca cried out in surprise and quickly released Vic, but a smile remained on her face.
Bastille also descended using Geppo, his clothes tattered and torn, with bloody cuts on his body beneath the rips, making him look rather disheveled.
"Little girl, you're really amazing. I've lost this time!" Bastille said sincerely as he walked up to Rebecca and Vic.
"Hmph! Now you know how powerful I am, right? I'm a grown-up now. If you call me a little brat again, I'll pluck all your hair out!" Rebecca threatened, raising her little fist.
"I admit you're good, but you're only slightly better than me. I truly admire Vic; a true expert's skill is immediately apparent."
Although I only saw your speed, that's just the tip of the Iceburg! You're really strong; Zephyr- sensei wasn't lying to me after all!
After Bastille and Rebecca finished speaking, he praised Vic. He meant it sincerely, not just as a polite remark. Even a rough man like him wouldn't say such things.
