I Killed You Out of Respect

"Did their Awakening fail? Could these be those two Jailer Beasts from Impel Down in the future? I never thought their Awakening was destined to fail!"

Did their Awakening fail because their minds and bodies couldn't keep up with their abilities? Or did my arrival force them to Awakening prematurely, causing their failure? Awakening Zoan is truly perilous!

Vic looked at the two dazed, large figures in front of him and felt they looked familiar. He was puzzled; they really resembled the rhinoceros and koala from Impel Down. But why were they here at this time of year?

But before Vic could think, the two dazed giants attacked them as if they had a last shred of willpower, and their injuries were forcibly healed by Awakening.

" Rebecca, you go and take out that Lao San over there. I'll handle these two big guys. The rest of you, stay far away!"

Vic didn't let his guard down either. When the big guy was about to attack, he reminded the others that Rebecca was somewhat capable of fighting two Awakening but unconscious Zoan, but the others were not. Vic decided to go alone.

"Two Zoan Awakening! You've never even seen them before, have you? I don't believe you can escape this time. Let's die together!"

Seeing Rebecca running towards him, the Lao San's eyes filled with tears, and his tone was resolute yet sorrowful, as if he were thinking about his own life!

He saw in his eyes a child found amidst the ruins of a battlefield, a child taken to a gathering place with many other children his age.

Life there is very structured every day; there are people specifically training these children, and this continues day after day.

As time went by, the children grew up, and those with less talent were sent away early. What became of them is hard to say; in any case, that child was never seen again.

As time went on, fewer and fewer children remained. That particular child, whose talent was neither particularly good nor bad, was also sent away later to carry out dangerous missions. His strength gradually increased, and his status slowly rose.

But the smile had vanished from his face; he had lost himself, becoming a task machine, seemingly born to carry out missions.

Until one day, he was sent on a long-term mission. The scene moved quickly and passed by in an instant, but the Lao San saw it clearly and plainly: that child's life was meaningless and wasted!

"Whether we are opponents or not, we will strive and fight. You are no match for me; your heart is already dead!"

Rebecca's words were like a cold knife piercing the Lao San's heart, making his blood almost freeze.

Vic finally got what Zero wanted; he drew his sword, two swords at that. This was the greatest respect he could show Zero, a respect for Zero's willingness to sacrifice his integrity for the mission.

Vic directly covered Blood Wither Up and Allen with his strongest Ryuo, the black and red Haki flowing around the blade like serrated edges.

Seeing the two large creatures crowding towards him, drawn by the sound, Vic leaped over them, flying directly over their crowded shoulders. For a moment, the entire sky seemed to flicker, going dark for a split second before returning to normal! Everyone present sensed something and looked at the bright sky in confusion.

Vic stood behind the two animals, holding his knife in both hands and facing away from them. The two ferocious animals stood there quietly, making no other moves. Vic sheathed his knife, releasing the Haki it once held.

"Bite"

The two simultaneous sounds of swords being sheathed seemed to ring the bell to begin the performance. Then, the rhinoceros and koala performed a head-splitting act, commonly known as splitting up, the kind where they couldn't come back.

Vic took them down with a single move; this was the greatest respect he could show Zero and Lao Jiu, Vic thought to himself.

Rebecca did not disappoint Vic. As Vic sheathed his knife, Rebecca slit the throat of the Lao San, and all four members of the intelligence organization perished.

Vic has no idea who the gang on the island is; he only knows that they prey on civilians, and in a fit of rage, he killed them all. It's that simple. As for the truth? He'll have to keep it all buried in his heart!

"Let's pretend we didn't hear what the Lao Si said, and let's not mention it again, otherwise this island might really be in danger of being targeted by the Buster Call."

We got into a conflict with the island's gangs. They weren't strong enough, and we wiped them all out. You don't know about the rest. I'll find a way to cover this up!

Vic telepathically told the group that since there was no way to verify the murder, the World Government wouldn't take any major action. They might have some suspicions, but as long as they didn't leak it out, given Vic's power and connections, the World Government would treat it as if nothing had happened.

The group remained silent, nodding solemnly. Today's events were unforgettable for them, having already shaken their beliefs.

Just like Aokiji in Ohara back then, his passion was extinguished by Akainu's cannon shot, and from then on Aokiji became a lazy righteous man.

But this time it's different; it's directly the action of the World Government and has nothing to do with the Navy.

"Captain, this is Lao Si's knife. What should we do with it?" Frodeku asked Vic for his opinion, holding the Famous Sword that Lao Si had previously discarded.

"Since you found it, you can use it. However, the scabbard has hidden weapons, so it's not suitable for you. I'll make you a suitable one when we get back to the warship. This sword is quite good; it's a Famous Sword and Skillful Grade Sword — the Lunar Eclipse."

The person who named it is very ambitious, Frodeku, treat it well! The Lao Si actually tampered with the scabbard, a person like that can never achieve anything in swordsmanship!

Vic took it, looked at it, and then returned it to Frodeku. Barnett had previously said he would buy weapons for Frodeku, but things had gotten so sudden that he hadn't been able to. Now, it was a perfect ending.

"Hmm! Captain!" Frodeku stroked the blade of Lunar Eclipse, his first weapon, and he was quite fond of it.

" Wendy, I saw that Lao Si hurt you. Are you alright? You have quite a few wounds on you before. Let Barnett treat you quickly so you don't have any scars."

Rebecca, you're also injured and need treatment. Konan's grandmother has fainted. Frodeku, hurry back and get her to the warship so our ship's doctor can examine and treat her properly.

Vic's Observation Haki sensed a large group of people heading this way, so he gave them instructions.

"I'm mostly fine, just external injuries. Let Barnett treat Rebecca first; her injuries are internal and probably more serious."

Wendy witnessed Rebecca being knocked away and spitting blood, and she guessed that Rebecca must have been seriously injured.

"Yes, Captain, I'll be right there." Upon hearing Vic's order, Frodeku quickly ran towards the cabin.

" Wendy, your wounds are still bleeding. Let me treat them first. My internal injuries aren't serious; I'll be fine later!" (Li)

Becca wasn't being modest; the weight really wasn't heavy, and her recovery was quite good. Wendy nodded without pushing further, and then Barnett began using his abilities to heal Wendy.

" Vic, could it be their underlings? They must have been sent by the World Government, right?" Rebecca's Observation Haki also sensed the approaching crowd.
