After chatting with Wendy for a bit downstairs, Vic went out. But he wouldn't just wait around; he needed to find something to do before coming out.

For example, the training in the Haki is quite good, and the nurturing of the Black Blade cannot be stopped. Several months have passed, and neither of the two Great Grade Sword shows any sign of turning black. It is indeed very difficult to master the Black Blade.

Vic sat cross-legged on the snow not far from the bookstore, remaining motionless regardless of the changing of the sun, moon, and stars.

The falling snow had completely covered him, and from a distance, it was impossible to tell that there was a person sitting there; one would only think that there was a rock under the snow. The temperature of minus twenty degrees Celsius was quite good for Vic, mainly in terms of willpower.

Vic still places great importance on willpower training. He wasn't quite sure before that 19-year-old King Luffy could fight Kaido at his peak.

However, after Mantis boosted Vic's willpower last time, he deeply realized the impact of willpower on Haki.

It's like using a large bucket to fetch water from a river. Willpower is equivalent to the strength of the person fetching the water. With the same bucket and the same river water, the stronger person can carry more water. The river water is there; how much you can carry away at once depends on your skill.

King Luffy's total Haki is definitely not as strong Kaido's, which is why he was able to hold his own against Kaido in the first few encounters, but was later beaten so badly he was rolling his eyes in disbelief.

This is because if you use up too much Haki, you can't defend anymore. However, the Haki that the two of them can mobilize for each attack is about the same, which is why they can fight back and forth.

Willpower is the key to King Luffy's many comebacks; otherwise, he would have been defeated in Alabasta, Sky Island, the Florian Triangle, Enies Lobby, and all the way to the New World.

Two days later Vic finally broke through the thick snow and stood up. Dr. Tsukimi's results should be out by now; this was the approximate time Dr. Tsukimi had given him, and Vic wanted to know as soon as possible.

After returning to the treehouse, Vic greeted Wendy and Kureha before heading upstairs. Dr. Tsukimi was still wearing a transparent blindfold and recording something, seemingly without having obtained the test results yet.

"Doctor! How's it going? Have the results come out yet?" Vic interrupted Dr. Tsukimi, who was still working. Anyway, she was just making records and wasn't doing any dangerous experiments.

"Ah! Vic, you're back! You gave me quite a fright. The new equipment is really useful; the results came out half a day earlier than I expected. Here's your test report; take a look!"

Dr. Tsukimi handed a tabular test report to Vic, Vic glanced at its contents.

The table is divided into two parts. The left side has Vic's name and is divided into three sections: blood, dermal tissue, and bone tissue Lineage Factor test results. The right side has Tsukimi's name, but it only has one section, mainly for comparison purposes; one is enough.

The comparison showed no difference; Vic's Lineage Factor was the same as Dr. Tsukimi's, who was an ordinary person, with no extra segment in his Lineage Factor.

In other words, the Devil Fruit Vic ate before did not change his Lineage Factor, so it's not surprising that he can swim in the sea.

"This is the result! Who was that person watching me that day? Did I eat a fake Devil Fruit? And what about my abilities?"

Although the outcome was just as Vic had predicted, it only deepened Vic doubts. He felt as if he had been being orchestrated and guided all along.

Combined with what Zephyr said earlier about someone changing the course, it's absolutely terrifying to think about! Who could have such an ability? Vic's mind was practically exploding.

" Vic! Are you alright?"

Seeing Vic's blank and ashen expression, Dr. Tsukimi was puzzled. Wasn't this exactly the result Vic had hoped for? Wasn't he trying to find a Logia Devil Fruit to increase his strength? Why did his expression turn so grim upon seeing this result?

"It's nothing! It's just that the thought of Devil Fruit giving me a headache. I've heard they taste like poop, which makes me feel a bit disgusted."

Dr. Tsukimi's voice brought Vic back to reality. He couldn't possibly voice what he was thinking; this terrible conjecture was something he had to bear alone.

However, he wasn't discouraged by his special talent. This talent couldn't possibly have been arranged by someone, could it? Are there really people like this in this world? Someone with such abilities wouldn't be an exaggeration to call them a god! As long as he had this talent, he would eventually be able to find the person behind it all and also have the strength to fight against the person's desired goals.

"Doctor! You can continue with your work! I'm relieved to know that what I ate before wasn't Devil Fruit. I'm going to set off now to find that Devil Fruit!"

Vic calmed himself down and said, "Since there's no mark of Devil Fruit, eating another one won't cause a conflict or cause my body to explode. I've decided not to waste any more time."

"So soon? Then let me go down and see you off!"

Dr. Tsukimi stopped what he was doing Dr. Tsukimi how eager Vic; he just couldn't resist the urge to try some of the advanced equipment.

Vic didn't say anything more and went downstairs to say goodbye to Wendy and Kureha. Although the Rumble-Rumble Fruit was still in Birka and not easy to find, he still had to give it a try.

" Wendy! I'm leaving Drum Island. I'm going to seek greater power!"

After going downstairs, Vic came to the opposite side of Wendy and said that Wendy's condition had improved a lot and she was now able to get up and move around.

Wendy understood the reason from Vic's words; it was still the pressure from Charlotte Linlin. The gradual, ordinary training was no longer enough for Vic.

He no longer wanted to play a nanny-like role with the Elite Camp's warships. Apart from the time with Mantis, Vic had never used his full strength in battle.

You know, fighting is one of the fastest ways to improve your strength, and Wendy felt a little guilty thinking about that!

It's all her family matter; she dragged Vic into it. Rebecca and the others will definitely join in later, and they might all be wiped out.

If they all die, she won't have the face to meet Vic and the others in the Underworld. She doesn't know if her decision to speak out was right or wrong; only time will tell.

" Vic! Be careful! Rebecca and I are waiting for you to come back!" Wendy didn't say anything sentimental. Since Vic had agreed without hesitation, she could only strive to become stronger before that day arrived.

"Here you go, Professor Zephyr's Vivre Card. You can find them with this."

After meeting up with them, I told them I was going to find a place to cultivate and that they didn't need to wait for me at sea; I would report directly back to headquarters later.

Tell Rebecca and the others that they need to work hard in their training. You can tell a few of them about Charlotte Linlin, but don't mention it to Teacher Zephyr!
