"This thing looks pretty good! I wonder if it tastes good. This is the first time I've ever seen such a big lobster!"
Vic stroked his chin, watching the Express Shrimp with interest. Amazon looked at Vic with a strange expression, Express Shrimp was somewhat frightened. It could sense that Vic wasn't just saying that; he really wanted to eat it.
Vic ate quite a few sea creatures, and he had never actually eaten such large shellfish before, but he was still able to resist the temptation of the food.
With a leap, Vic landed on top of the lobster's head. The Express Shrimp felt a jolt in its head; this human was really heavy. It dared not resist at all, fearing that Vic would stomp through its skull.
The Express Shrimp, eager to rid itself of Vic, the plague that wanted to devour it, ran more than twice as fast as usual, moving as freely as the wind.
Beyond the Heaven's Gate lies a winding cloud path, in which even the Express Shrimp's large body appears inconspicuous.
This cloud path doesn't look like it was formed naturally at all; it seems more like a guidepost set up to help the Blue Sea people reach the Sky Island.
While massive ocean currents that can propel the City of Gold to 10,000 meters into the air are a rare occurrence, they are quite frequent, though they can reach 7,000 meters in the White-White Sea.
Not long after, as the view suddenly opened up, the Express Shrimp beneath him shuddered violently, and Vic found himself at an altitude of 10,000 meters.
The dreamlike Angel Island, the crisscrossing cloud paths, the giant bean vines, and the majestic Upper Yard came into Vic.
This is a place that appears peaceful and beautiful, but it has been the site of nearly four hundred years of conflict.
What they were fighting over wasn't the island's most valuable gold, but merely land that seemed ordinary to the Blue Sea people. The Shandia were simply trying to protect their homeland, while the Skypieans regarded Upper Yard as a gift from heaven.
Vic felt deeply moved and sympathetic towards the plight of the Shandia. He vowed that if he ever had the ability, he would definitely return the City of Gold to its original place, to dust and ashes.
He would consider the gold from Golden Township as payment. As long as he didn't take the gold, the Zhongshan Dia people wouldn't say much and would sincerely thank him. They didn't care much about gold; it was the same four hundred years ago.
"Hey lobster! I've heard that lobster claws can grow back after they fall off. You're a lobster too, you should be able to do that too, right?"
And the regrowth pincers will be even stronger. Why don't you send me two big pincers to try? My knife is very fast; you won't even feel any pain. How about it?"
Right after Express Shrimp delivered Vic to Angel Beach, Vic immediately set his sights on Express Shrimp's large claws.
The Express Shrimp's eyes, the only thing capable of expressing emotion, were practically bulging out of their sockets as it stared at Vic in disbelief. "I just let you ride me, and you want to eat me after you're done? Isn't that a bit unethical? Aren't you being a bit of a dog?"
Then, the Express Shrimp disappeared into the white White Sea with lightning speed. Humans without wings are truly terrifying. He will definitely make the most of any future encounters with such people.
It remembered that among the wingless humans it had last encountered, several of them exuded an aura that made it tremble with fear, as if they were kings among humans.
The man with the long nose hairs at the head of the group was even more Haki. The aura he casually exuded could repel the mist surrounding the ship. When he walked on the cloud path, he didn't even dare to show his head. Only his two large pincers were extended to hold the ship in place.
This Express Shrimp has no idea what kind of people it carries on its back in the vast ocean below—any one of them could easily crush them. This is an unparalleled honor, the capital it boasts about for the rest of its life. Unfortunately, it has no mouth to speak and no brain to think!
Vic chuckled as he watched the incredibly fast Express Shrimp. If they wouldn't let him eat, they wouldn't let him. He wasn't one to force things; if he wanted to, he wouldn't have asked. They just attacked directly. Sea Kings are the most qualified to say about this, but those who know this are all in the Underworld. If you want to ask, you can only ask in the Underworld —it's a different path leading to the same end.
Vic admired the scenery of Angel Beach. It looked truly dreamy. Vic thought Rebecca and the other girls would love it. He would definitely bring them to the Sky Island to enjoy it properly when he had the chance. Although the air was a bit thin here, strong people would adapt quickly. It would be a great place for a vacation!
But with a formidable enemy at hand, this is not the time for leisure and play. We must finish our business first!
On this Sky Island, Vic has two important things to do: one is to find Gan Fall to ask for Birka's address, and the other is the gold in City of Gold.
Once these two things are done, we can leave. There's no Thunder God Enel here now, and Gan Fall doesn't seem to have any hostility towards the Shandia, so there's no need to waste time interfering.
Once we have the strength in the future, we can wipe out City of Gold in one fell swoop. Sky Island only need land, and there are plenty of oceans below with countless uninhabited islands. It would be a win-win situation for everyone!
Vic didn't go to Gan Fall first; the gold was just lying there waiting for him to pick it up, which was much simpler than dealing with people.
Gan Fall is now a god of Sky Island, and it's uncertain how he will respond. Human hearts are complex, especially those of a ruler in a high position. He's not like the Sky Knight who was dethroned by Enel; their levels of understanding are completely different.
Having thought all this through, Vic headed towards what is now Upper Yard. However, it's impossible to get Upper Yard on foot; ordinary people go there by boat equipped with Wind Dial.
Vic is a flying creature. Although the air is thin at 10,000 meters and using Geppo would be very difficult, Upper Yard is not far away, so flying there is not a problem.
" Geppo is too strenuous here, but it's also the best place to improve Geppo. If I could use Geppo freely here for a long time..."
So, once we get to the ocean, will Geppo have a different effect? Will the Geppo skill undergo a qualitative leap?
Vic thought of these things while using Geppo, because Geppo was too physically demanding here and could only be used temporarily; it was impossible to travel by Geppo alone.
Therefore, Vic plans to spend his time on Sky Island figuring out how to further improve his Geppo, otherwise he'll have to find a boat here to get to Birka, which will slow him down.
Vic approached Upper Yard using Geppo, looking at the tall trees and thick vines that entwined everywhere, like an uninhabited primitive island, full of wild atmosphere.
Who would have thought that this island wasn't like this when it was in the sea below? After it took to the sky, the plants and animals inside began to grow wildly, as if they had taken some kind of giantification drug.
If Caesar were here, he might gain some inspiration for the gigantification experiment. This is naturally occurring gigantification, with absolutely no side effects.
Just as Vic was flying atop the tree, stepping on leaves to get close to the skull's right eye, a huge, mottled body suddenly rushed towards Vic, its mouth wide open as if it wanted to swallow Vic.
Looking at that hideous face, a name echoed in Vic's mind— the Sky Lord, the laughing Orochi.
This Orochi has lived for nearly four hundred years, and in this place where one can grow to enormous size, its size is unimaginable; it's terrifying to look at. However, Vic is no ordinary person and won't be frightened by a suddenly appearing monster. The monster that wants to eat Vic hasn't been born yet.
Vic punched the giant serpent's upper jaw directly. The Sky Lord's enormous body was as big as a mountain to others, and impervious to blades and spears, but it was still not enough to impress Vic.
The Orochi's body flipped back to the ground of Upper Yard, making intimate contact with the earth.
It had only wanted to try something different, but it never expected that this seemingly delicious energy entity would be so ferocious. The power contained in that small body was greater than that of its enormous body. It couldn't even withstand a single blow. It was not enough to just slam into the ground; it rolled away into the distance like a gourd.
