According to the original timeline, his promotion to Marine Admiral should have happened within the last two years, but he was affected by Fisher Tiger's burning of the Holy Land and letting Nuli escape.
The World Government ordered that no one could be promoted to Marine Admiral until the main culprit was captured. Fisher Tiger then fled at sea for three years before being betrayed in Koala's hometown. Rear Admiral Strawberry was the one who carried out the attack. Only after this matter was resolved did Kizaru become Marine Admiral.
Vic didn't know if his arrival would affect his promotion. If it didn't, he would have three more years to build up his reputation and military achievements.
If that has an impact, it means the five old men of the World Government don't really want him to participate in the promotion, which would be a bit troublesome.
" Vic! What are you thinking about? You seem so engrossed."
Gion noticed that Vic was lost in thought and didn't speak, so she asked him curiously. Vic rarely acted like this, and she was afraid that Vic was upset about what had happened today.
Although many people were saved, what if it were someone else? How many people would dare to do what Vic did? How many similar things happen on this ocean? This is just the tip of the Iceburg.
"I was wondering how you could have been so fast. I transformed into my element and arrived in just a few breaths. That speed surpasses that of many powerful individuals!"
Vic snapped out of his reverie and thought for a moment before saying that he had indeed been surprised at the time, but the circumstances weren't suitable for asking, so he let it go. Now, however, it was a good time to ask.
"That? It's the Six Powers of Shave! It wasn't this fast before, but last time, to prevent you from getting hit by Bullet's palm, I unconsciously used Shave to try and knock you away. I don't know how it became so fast."
I felt even faster back then! After you cured me, I wanted to recapture that feeling. My speed has improved a lot now, but I haven't reached that level yet!
Gion didn't hide anything and told Vic how she had improved her speed, probably hoping Vic could give her some pointers on how to reach that same level again.
After hearing Gion's explanation, Vic understood. Like his Geppo, Gion's "Shave" had entered another level. The Six Powers of Shave is known for its speed, and after Gion reached another level, his speed was greatly improved. Whether Gion's injury was a gain or a loss was unknown, but at least his ability to protect himself was stronger.
Even Vic couldn't teach him this. His speed wasn't entirely due to shaving; his shaving hadn't reached another level yet.
However, he shared his conjecture about advanced techniques, using his Geppo and Gion's Shave as examples to give everyone a sense of direction.
Vic doesn't expect them all to reach the high level, but he would be happy if someone did, as these skills are very helpful in actual combat.
After Vic and his group left the island, World Government personnel soon arrived to investigate. Enraged to find the island littered with the corpses of their own people, they arrested some civilians who were transporting Sea Kings meat back to the island and questioned them.
When the common people said it was divine punishment, they didn't believe it at all. But after asking many people who said they had died one after another, they realized something was wrong.
After examining all the bodies, they found no external injuries; all deaths were caused by internal problems. This left them somewhat bewildered, and after much deliberation, they decided to kill everyone here first!
But then the same thing happened again: all the government personnel were killed. This was, of course, done by Vic after he returned using his lightning abilities and hid on the island. He knew there would be more to come and wasn't entirely at ease with the place.
So, a legend spread on the island that a god had placed a curse on them. Anyone who was not a native of the island and appeared there with malicious intent would die mysteriously, with the cause of death varying each time. This was a curse from the gods.
The curse was actually spread by a resident of the island. After the two incidents, he accidentally ate a Devil Fruit on the island. This Devil Fruit actually contained the power of one of the people Vic killed.
After this man died, his power was regenerated into Devil Fruit on the island. He used this Devil Fruit to capture some people with ill intentions, then killed them in different ways and dumped them in different places on the street at night.
Inspired by Vic, and with Vic's brilliant example before him, he followed suit. Under his deliberate guidance, the rumor spread, and those who came to the island dared not do evil easily. The island was able to survive with difficulty. Of course, that's another story and did not affect the warship's navigation.
Time continued to pass, and the warship drew closer and closer to the Red Line. Vic and his crew gradually put aside their island affairs, and their lives returned to normal.
During this time Gion would come to talk to Vic several times in the middle of the night, insisting that Vic demonstrate his abilities to her. In the end, she would leave satisfied. This had become a routine between the two of them, and they tacitly understood each other.
Since there was no physical contact, Gion was in a good mood every day, and her skin became more hydrated, smooth, and elastic day by day.
Vic not only used his abilities to help Gion..., but he also used his abilities to adjust any imbalances or problems within her body. Once her mind and body were both fine, Gion's skin would naturally be in its most perfect condition.
This made Rebecca and the other girls incredibly envious. The younger ones weren't so envious, as they already had plenty of collagen in their faces. The most envious were Gion's friends, who were quite a bit older than Rebecca and the others. Gion could only evade the question by mentioning Vic's treatment, and couldn't go into more detail.
Aside from occasionally dealing with Gion, Vic spends most of his time training. The warships aren't his, and he doesn't need to command them; Tokikake takes care of everything.
Ain also had Rebecca and the others to guide her, so Vic only needed to find things for her to do. Rebecca and the others didn't need Vic to remind them about their training either. Although they weren't as dedicated as him, they were still working very hard.
Vic is now feeling like he's leading a warship on a mission all by himself. All he needs to do is replace Tokikake with Barnett, and Barnett will be there to step in and speak at crucial moments.
With Vic, Tokikake, and Gion on board, the warship's voyage went smoothly, and Vic didn't need to take action against the pirates they encountered along the way.
The warships took significantly longer to reach the Red Line than Vic took to find Bullet on the Dog-Head Warship. They had been rushing to provide support, but now that they were free, the journey naturally took longer.
This time, the warship will still travel on the Red Line. Traveling underwater is too uncertain, and there are also high-ranking pirates being held captive on board, so it's not advisable to take unnecessary risks.
The warship did not go to the G-1 Branch for resupply, and the crossing of the Red Line was also Tokikake Jiaji. During this crossing of the Red Line, Vic did not leave the cabin of the warship until the warship returned to the sea surface of Paradise.
