Just as the Holy Land Mary Geoise finalized the script for the future of the Kuma, the Kuma had already brought Vic to an island in the South Blue. The journey, which was personally led by the Kuma, took a very short time, completely different from the time it took for him to be sent flying.
"I need a cup of water from that lake, can you get it for me?" Kuma said to Vic, pointing to the small lake in front of them.
This is a small lake in the center of the island, surrounded by tall trees. The treetops rustled in the wind, but the entire lake surface was like a mirror, without the slightest ripple. It seemed that the wind from above did not reach below.
Vic didn't know what special power the island possessed, but seeing that the Kuma didn't say anything, he didn't ask, assuming the Kuma was just thirsty and wanted a drink.
After Vic emerged from the shallow bear paw print, he pulled out a branch about the thickness of a Allen from a nearby tree. With another cut, he left only a piece of wood about twenty centimeters long. Then, he hollowed it out with a knife and made a wooden cup. This type of wood, which Vic had never seen before, was harder than he had imagined!
Vic glanced at the cup in his hand, walked to the lake and started scooping water, but his expression changed as soon as the thick-walled wooden cup touched the water!
There was something wrong with the water. The resistance to the cup sinking into the water was far too great. In the end, the cup did manage to sink in with Vic's effort, but when he tried to scoop the water out of the water, Vic felt a tremendous downward force. It was as if the water had taken root. The wooden cup shattered instantly, and all the water flowed back into the lake without a ripple.
Vic turned and gave the Kuma a deep look. The Kuma didn't say anything. Vic then turned back to look at the lake in front of him. This small lake was the place with special powers.
Vic reached into the elementalized chest and took out a small piece of metal, which he then transformed into a metal cup with a handle using lightning metallurgy. He then pressed the cup into the lake once again.
This time he didn't scoop much, just half a cup of water, but the weight of that half cup of water was no less than a mountain. Vic slowly raised his hand to lift the metal cup off the lake, and it really felt like he was holding a mountain in his hand!
"I call it heavy water. I discovered it by chance during my travels. A single drop of water in this lake weighs over a ton. I don't know if that counts as the special power you mentioned."
Just as Vic stood up and looked at the water glass, he heard Kuma's gentle voice behind him. Kuma wasn't really thirsty; he just wanted Vic to see the special lake water.
"Yes! Of course it counts!"
Vic agreed and poured the water from the glass back into the lake. Then he put the glass away and started taking off his clothes. His hands had just touched the heavy water of the lake, but he didn't feel the same weakness as with seawater.
That means he can cultivate in this kind of water. A single drop of water weighs over a ton. What's the difference between cultivating in this kind of high-pressure water and cultivating at the bottom of the sea?
If we have to say there is any difference, it's that this small lake is of unknown depth. The pressure at its deepest point might be much greater than the pressure at the deepest part of the ocean. As for how much greater? That depends on how deep the lake is!
This place can definitely help Vic accelerate his Armament Haki. It's similar in effect to the invisible power exerted by that mysterious black-robed man, both of which can completely envelop and compress Vic in the middle.
Vic stripped down to only his underwear, revealing his firm and well-proportioned muscles, and slowly walked into the lake.
As soon as his feet entered the water, it felt like a huge mountain was pressing down on them, but Vic's body and strength were still able to withstand it. Once his feet were completely on solid ground, half of his calves were submerged, and he could feel the hard, smooth texture of the soles of his feet.
The bottom of this lake has been filled with countless heavy waters. If the material were not good, it would have collapsed long ago. The fact that this small lake still exists means that the bottom of the lake is already as hard as refined iron. As for how thick it is, Vic can't say for sure. However, its existence is reasonable. As long as it can help him cultivate, that's enough. He stopped thinking about anything else. The pressure coming from his calves was getting greater and greater.
As Vic's body descended deeper into the water, he discovered that the bottom of the lake was like a giant cauldron, and the water grew deeper the further he went. He could no longer withstand the immense pressure with his physical strength, so Vic could only release his Armament Haki to envelop his entire body.
After he was completely submerged in the water, he discovered that the heavy water could indeed help him cultivate his Haki, much like the invisible power used by the black-robed man. Both could achieve the same cultivation goal. The black-robed man wouldn't help you cultivate, but this place was a good, unclaimed spot. It was an uninhabited island, and Vic could come here to cultivate Haki whenever he had time.
Are there any other places?
Vic didn't stay in the water for long; he was content as long as he knew it was effective. He quickly emerged from the water without a drop of water on him, which wasn't surprising, as the water was so heavy that his skin and fur couldn't hold it; it all dripped back into the lake. After confirming the island's location on the map, Vic said to Kuma.
"Yes!" Kuma didn't waste any words. Although he didn't know why Vic was looking for these places, he was willing to help. After Vic got dressed, he used the same trick again, and the two of them disappeared into thin air.
Afterwards, Kuma took Vic to a deserted island in the North Blue. The wind over the island was so strong that Vic felt like his hair was about to come off his scalp.
This island is quite unique. The center of the circular island is completely occupied by tall and jagged rocks, the tops of which are covered with snow. There is a passage running through the island from north to south in the middle of the rocks.
There was only a small patch of flat land remaining in front of the passageway. The passageway, which ran through the rocks, had one side wider than the other. The side with the larger opening occupied the entire northern rocky mountain, and from a perspective, it looked like a giant trumpet piercing through the rocks.
Kuma led Vic toward the flatlands on the south side of the island. The entrance to the passage there was a small one, and Vic already knew why Kuma had brought him there even before they got close.
The open space in front of the passage was perfectly smooth, made entirely of solid stone. A frantic howling sound came from inside the passage; the special power on this island was the wind!
The cold north wind enters through the large opening on the north side of the island, and as it passes through the increasingly narrow passage, the wind force is compressed and becomes stronger.
When the wind blew out from the small hole on the south side, its force was far beyond that of a hurricane; it was like a giant punching machine. When Vic reached the small passage that was taller than a person, he was instantly sent flying, feeling as if he had been punched by the old man's Haki fist!
This passage is very long, meaning that the wind gets stronger from the large opening to the small opening. If you can't block the force of the wind from the outlet, you can enter from the large opening on the other side and gradually feel the strength of the wind.
Gradually find a place where you can cultivate without risking your life. Once you've adapted and can withstand it, gradually move towards the smaller vent. Just like Vic can cultivate directly at the vent, but Rebecca and the others can't, so they can start adapting slowly from the other side!
After that, Kuma took Vic to several more islands. Because these were islands with special characteristics, no ordinary people lived on them.
Among them are frigid islands with temperatures tens of degrees below zero, scorching hot lands where steel can melt, toxic swamps where a single drop could kill an entire nation, or barren, Seastone mountains...
These islands could all help Vic's cultivation to some extent, but the help varied. Vic had a sense of the scale, but he had memorized the locations of these islands, as he might need them in the future.
