"King Cobra! What are your plans for the future?"
After taking a bite of a piece of bread from the table, Vic asked, "Cobra of the Affiliated Nation is basically unable to return to Alabasta."
It's estimated that it won't be long before it appears on the bounty list again. Of course, it's not unusual for the king to appear on a wanted list; it won't be the first or the last. The Five Elders don't care what your original identity was.
However, the fate of an ordinary person with the status of a king appearing on a bounty poster is predictable. But Vic can't keep Cobra by his side all the time; it would probably be even more dangerous if he were with him.
"I... the world is so vast! It seems there's nowhere for my daughter and me to find refuge!"
Just as Cobra was about to drink his milk, he heard Vic's question and put the cup back on the table. After a long silence, he realized that although the world was vast, there was no place for him and his daughter to belong!
He knew a thing or two about how powerful the World Government was, and most of the pirates were outlaws, so it was impossible for them to take them in.
The Straw Hat Boy might be a possibility, but they're always on voyages and adventures, and it's simply not suitable for them to carry an ordinary person like him who has a medical condition.
As for whether the Revolutionary Army, which is hostile to the World Government, will take him in as the former king of World Government Member States, that remains to be seen.
Who knows if this is a ruse to infiltrate the Revolutionary Army? The Nefertari Family was once part of the Celestial Dragons; could this be a contingency plan they left behind? So where could someone with such mobility issues go?
Of course, this was Cobra's perspective from the Revolutionary Army's point of view. He didn't know what others thought, since they had different information and different views on things.
"I have three kinds here... Hmm? Why has the sky turned gloomy? It was sunny just a moment ago! This isn't normal!"
Just as Vic was about to say that he had three ways to settle Cobra, the sky outside suddenly darkened without any warning; it had been sunny just moments before, and now it was overcast.
After finishing his sentence, Vic dropped the bread in his hand and walked out of the kitchen. He went to an open area and looked up at the sky. Seeing that Vic's expression was abnormal, Sabo quickly pushed Cobra's wheelchair outside as well.
Sabo and Cobra didn't think anything of it. Isn't the weather on the Grand Line just unpredictable? What's the big deal?
There's something moving in the clouds!
Vic frowned and said that his Observation Haki had penetrated deep into the clouds but he hadn't found anything. However, after activating the Law of Lightning, he discovered a huge object moving in the clouds!
However, even his Law of Lightning couldn't detect what that enormous thing was. It was as if an invisible force was blocking the Law of Lightning from getting closer. Vic knew that what was in the clouds was definitely not ordinary!
But why would this mysterious thing appear here? Was it a coincidence or did it come on purpose? Just as Vic was about to fly into the clouds to investigate further...
"Oh no! Danger!"
"Boom... Boom... Boom..."
The clouds in the sky were pierced by beams of pale purple light that shot straight toward the island at incredible speed. When the first beam, as thick as a water tank, hit the ground, it caused a huge explosion, leaving a bottomless crater!
However, this happened in an instant, because what followed was a continuous barrage of pale purple beams of light shining down indiscriminately!
The beam of light fell too fast and covered too wide an area, engulfing the entire island, leaving the civilians on the island with no chance to escape!
Those hit by the beam of light were instantly vaporized, and those nearby were also blown apart by the violent blast wave. Those who wanted to escape or hide did not know which direction to run in to survive!
Because the beams of light were irregular and continuous, appearing anywhere was not surprising. Horror, fear, despair, resentment, and hatred permeated the entire island. As for their shouts and screams? They had long been drowned out by the continuous explosions!
In less than fifteen minutes, the island that housed the once prosperous and beautiful Lulusia Kingdom vanished, completely vanished!
It not only disappeared from the map of Imu, but also vanished into the real sea!
At that moment, people all over the world felt the earthquake, an extremely strong tremor, as if the planet was grieving for the disappearance of the island of Lulusia!
The planet wept, not just in grief, because the sea level rose by nearly a meter, submerging many islands, some only half-submerged, and others only resembling rocky protrusions!
"This... this is impossible... how is this possible!!!"
"Pluto... the Pluton...?"
Sabo stared at the bottomless crater below, his body limp and trembling. Cobra was the same; seeing such a world-ending scene, he could only think of the power of the Ancient Weapon Pluton.
Yes, Sabo and Cobra survived thanks to Vic's protection, and they were the only three survivors in the entire Lulusia Kingdom!
Vic used his powerful Haki to protect the two of them through that incredibly difficult quarter of an hour. Countless beams of light struck his defenses, but they could not break through his invincible defenses!
At this moment, Vic was hovering not far above the giant crater, his arms around the two of them. He looked at the crater, which was larger than an island, with a gloomy expression. Water was pouring into the crater from its edge like a waterfall, but after so much time, there was no sign of it being filled. It seemed that the previous attack had pierced through the planet!
"Is this the Seraphim the God's Knights spoke of? It even pierced through the earth's crust! Vegapunk! Your sins are grave!"
Vic looked up at the sky, which was now empty of clouds and devoid of anything, and then at the faint red light emanating from the bottomless pit. He was filled with shock and anger!
The previous attack could not have been carried out by Pluton. Pluton is a huge warship and could not possibly fly into the sky. It would be more plausible if it were Uranus.
However, Vic had overheard the God's Knights ' conversation and suspected that this was the newly developed weapon, Seraphim. And who else besides Vegapunk could possess such power? Saturn, with his wicked thoughts and political maneuvering?
Although Vic's speculation was incorrect, it was indeed closely related to Vegapunk, because the energy that powered this weapon of mass destruction was obtained by the Five Elders from Vegapunk.
Although it was just one of his clones, "Yu," who wanted to become Celestial Dragons and curry favor with the Five Elders, it was still inextricably linked to Vegapunk. An entire nation's population was wiped out!
"Is this murder to silence a witness? Or is it making an example of someone? Imu! You're very good!!!"
Vic ruled out any other people or forces involved in this mysterious and deadly weapon; it was definitely Imu and those Five Elders who were responsible!
Even a fool could see that they had just discovered the Celestial Dragons ' secret, the existence of Imu, and were attacked right after returning from Mary Geoise. What else could this be but murder to silence them?
It might also have deterred those allied nations that wanted to break away from the World Government and collude with the Revolutionary Army. However, Imu miscalculated. Vic's strength exceeded his expectations. Not only did Viktor survive, he also rescued those who knew his secret.
Sensing Vic's powerful killing intent and anger, Sabo shuddered, Cobra was even worse off, coughing uncontrollably until Vic used his powers to heal him.
