Orens Vic trained on Laipe Island, became a celebrated protector, and left to study swordsmanship with Koshiro. On a dangerous island in the Calm Belt, he mastered Cutting Steel and witnessed mysterious fruits transform a sea serpent and a giant ape, while Rebecca waited for his return and Vic struggled to awaken Observation Haki.

• After waking in Orens Vic’s body, Vic vowed to avenge his parents, trained with Rebecca, and survived Derek’s pirate raid, which killed Orens and Ann.
• Vic and Rebecca built their strength through training and hunting, then defeated Bradric’s pirates when they attacked Laipe Island.
• Vic and Rebecca protected Laipe Island from further pirate attacks, but Vic declined to join the Marines and left to learn swordsmanship from Koshiro.
• In Loguetown, Vic bought Yubashiri, defeated pirates attacking Captain Buck’s crew, and continued on to Shimotsuki Village.
• Kozaburo agreed to teach Vic swordsmithing, and Koshiro accepted Vic into Isshin Dojo after testing his swordsmanship.

Vic left Laipe Island with Rebecca, joined the Marines, and brought her to Marine Headquarters after testing himself against Garp. At Marineford, Vic entered recruit training and began studying the Six Powers while aiming to join Zephyr’s Elite Camp.

• Vic left his island training behind and returned to Laipe Island, where he reunited with Rebecca and resumed teaching her swordsmanship and Observation Haki.
• Vic returned to Shimotsuki Village, forged Wado Ichimonji with Kozaburo, and spent a year and a half perfecting Sword Gang before leaving to visit the gravely ill grandmother.
• Vic stayed with Rebecca as her grandmother died, then ate a Speed-Speed Fruit and discovered he could swim despite having Devil Fruit powers.
• Vic and Rebecca met Garp and Tsuru, and Vic fought Garp for three hours before Garp invited him to join his ship after Marine training camp.
• Vic and Rebecca traveled with Garp and Tsuru to Sabaody, where Rebecca killed Chad and Vic defeated Barrow to claim the Cast Blue Gold.

• Vic trained Rebecca at the seaside cabin, completed the recruit camp’s assessments, and defeated Vice Admiral Onigumo after Smoker confronted him.
• Vic mastered Tekkai and Life Return through training and sparring with Zephyr, then recruited Wendy as his ship’s sniper after testing her shooting.
• Garp fought Vic at Marine Headquarters, pushing him to awaken Armament Haki, and later praised his progress at the seaside cabin.

• Vic learned to condense his Haki, defeated Gion in several spars, and discovered the Pet Pirates had taken Nagayama Black Gold.
• Gion captained the trainees’ sea mission, where Vic tested the Divine Staff, warned her about the Marines’ possible replacement, and persuaded her to join his ship.
• Vic and the crew survived a violent storm after he split a waterspout, then defeated pirates near an island and continued toward Peace Island.
• Vic faced giant Sea Kings in the Calm Belt, reached Peace Island, and left alone for Gia Island using Garp’s Eternal Pose.
• Vic exposed Adrian’s control of the Gia Island residents, killed him, freed his captives, and recovered Nagayama Black Gold from his secret vault.
