Uka Senju unleashed a vast Wood Release technique that transformed much of the battlefield into a forest, trapping and attacking shinobi from both sides. As the allied forces used the trees to restrain the reanimated dead, Hiruzen Sarutobi learned that Enma sensed no difference between Uka’s Wood Release and Hashirama Senju’s.

• Uka Senju flew over the battlefield, then used Wood Release: Deep Forest Emergence to create a vast forest that pressed into the allied forces and the surrounded clans.
• Hiruzen Sarutobi sent Enma’s staff to strike the growing trees, but the plants drained Enma’s chakra and forced him back into his exhausted ape form.
• Uka’s troops and the Elite Jonin knocked reanimated enemies into the air, where the Wood Release bound them in wooden spheres and absorbed their chakra.

Uka Senju’s mature Wood Release convinced Hiruzen Sarutobi that the other nations had to unite against him, so Hiruzen ordered an evacuation and called for a decisive battle at Nagatama Castle. While Koharu carried out his orders, Hiruzen fought Uka on the battlefield and was struck hard during their exchange.

• Hiruzen Sarutobi recognized Uka Senju’s Wood Release as a potential match for Hashirama Senju’s and ordered Utatane Koharu to evacuate selected elites, alert the other nations, and gather forces at Nagatama Castle.
• Uka Senju restrained more than a thousand Impure World Reincarnation troops with his Flower Tree World while Senju forces pressed the Sarutobi-aligned clans and disrupted their evacuation.
• Hiruzen Sarutobi fought Uka Senju with Enma’s Adamantine Staff, and the two exchanged blows while arguing over the clans’ betrayal and the fate of their people.

After the Senju executed the people left behind by the Four Clans and buried the dead, Mito Uzumaki explained that the horrific scene was meant to teach Uka the cost of defeat and power; he said he understood.

• Uka Senju trapped Hiruzen Sarutobi with Wood Release, but Hiruzen escaped using the Reverse Summoning Technique and abandoned his followers in Konoha.
• With Hiruzen gone, resistance weakened, and civilian-born ninja surrendered to protect their relatives.

• Mito Uzumaki praised Uka Senju's judgment, and he explained that he wanted to grow stronger to protect his children without resorting to needless slaughter.

Senju Toka reorganized Konoha’s forces for the coming war and secured the Hyūga Clan Head’s agreement to provide blood samples from every clan member. A tremendous chakra surge then swept across Konoha, and Sawagen Senju realized that the Senju had awakened power greater than Hashirama Senju’s.

• Senju Toka assigned the Hyūga, Ino-Shika-Cho Clans, and other clans fixed numbers of units to retain while ordering their remaining shinobi to help reorganize the forces.
• Konoha mobilized shinobi, supplies, workshops, and civilians as the Senju council established a wartime command structure.
• Senju Toka asked the Hyūga Clan Head for blood samples from every Hyūga, and he agreed to provide them as soon as possible.
• After the Hyūga Clan Head left, Senju Toka assured First Elder Sawagen Senju that the Senju would survive even the worst-case scenario.

Senju Toka and Mito Uzumaki confirmed that Uka Senju had begun a safe transformation and waited as his overwhelming chakra filled the courtyard. Meanwhile, the Third Raikage and the Third Mizukage agreed to join forces against the Senju, but the arrival of a large Senju force at Ihyo Castle forced the commanders to reconsider their plans.

• Senju Toka reached Mito Uzumaki outside Uka Senju’s ruined courtyard and learned that his transformation had begun without putting him in danger.
• Senju Toka and Mito Uzumaki joked about taking pictures of Uka Senju, then discussed the coming births and the Senju’s hopes for revival.

Senju Uka awakened the Rinnegan, discovered its defensive ability and tested the powers gained from his transformation. He left the chapter training at the Senju manor as an elite battle approached.

• The Iwagakure leader agreed to take his team to the Sarutobi, and the Third Raikage discussed the journey with the Mizukage and the others.
• Senju Uka woke up floating naked, crashed through Senju Rissei's house, and repaired the damage with Wood Release.
• Senju Uka awakened his Rinnegan and learned that its unique ability, which he named "Invincibility," absorbed attacks into a separate space.

Jigen ordered his agents to investigate Wood Release and the Five Great Nations as Senju Toka faced the prospect of a larger war. Uka Senju secured the Hyuga blood and traveled to Shikkotsu Forest to bargain with the Katsuyu Sage for Senjutsu Chakra, leaving her to decide whether to trust him.

• Jigen ordered his people to gather intelligence on Wood Release, the Five Great Nations, and the Sarutobi.

• Madara Uchiha, controlling the Third Mizukage, fled before the other Kage could react.
