Uka Senju’s experiments with the Gene System gave him Wood Release, while Root’s surveillance of the Senju escalated into an attempt to abduct him. After Uka killed two Root operatives to protect himself and Senju Harumi, the clan concealed his ability and began investigating its origins.
The Senju exposed traitors within their clan and forced Konoha’s leaders to accept sweeping political concessions and brutal punishments. With Uka’s Wood Release and marriage plans shaping the clan’s future, he began preparing for further training.
As the Senju reorganized their forces and allied with other clans, Uka trained in Wood Release and prepared to display his abilities. The stretch ended with Uka hunting ninja beasts in the forest as a team watched him.
Uka Senju faced a deadly academy assessment, defeating a string of challengers before killing a Chunin who demanded his results be invalidated. His actions sparked conflict among the village clans, while Jiraiya and Orochimaru investigated the incident and reached Hiruzen Sarutobi’s office.
Uka Senju learned the truth behind the Senju’s troubles, received new responsibilities and equipment, and formed a team with Inuzuka Furin and Aburame Kaun. After the team passed Senju Tsukika’s test, they set out for Konoha’s southern front as the village’s forces attacked the Land of Grass.
Uka Senju and his team completed one bandit-clearing mission before uncovering suspicious information about their next target. They attacked Asakura Stronghold, where Uka confronted its chief as Furin and Kaun engaged the others.
Uka Senju and his team completed missions while the Senju and Sarutobi prepared for a widening conflict. After discovering that their assassination target carried a hidden weapons shipment tied to the Sarutobi side, Uka’s team set an ambush and waited for the pursuing enemy squad.
Uka Senju and his teammates fought Nobe’s squad, surviving poison, injuries, and a series of battles before the front-line clans debated how to respond to the conflict. Afterward, Uka’s team continued killing and looting enemy groups, and new arrivals approached them.
Uka and his friends returned from their missions, while Senju Chiharu took command of a unit and received a secret intelligence assignment. Back in Konoha, Uka handled clan disputes, made plans with friends, and left for the South Battlefield, where he and his teammates confronted Root pursuers.
Uka Senju led the Senju campaign against Hoshigakure and the Land of Bears, then returned to Konoha and took command of a mission against the Merchant Ninja Organization. The stretch left Uka’s forces fighting Jiraiya’s troops on the island as Jiraiya summoned Sage Fukasaku and Sage Shima for a counterattack.
Uka Senju’s mission to secure summoning contracts turned into a devastating battle against Kumogakure and Konoha forces, drawing the Senju and their allies into a wider conflict. After surviving the fighting and accepting Katsuyu’s help, Uka gained a powerful Sage Body that alarmed Mito Uzumaki and left his future training uncertain.
Uka Senju and Senju Toka uncover plans to attack the Uzumaki and prepare the Senju for a wider war. The arc ends with the elders agreeing on evacuation forces and battlefield deployments as the clans mobilize.
The Senju launched their planned attack on Konoha while evacuating the Land of Whirlpools, and Uka Senju led the assault that wiped out the Uchiha inside the village. With the Ino-Shika-Cho clans joining the Senju, Toka prepared an all-out offensive against the Sarutobi and their reanimated dead.
