Gu Qinghuan was picked up and brought into the Returning Heart Sect rather than being born into a prominent cultivation family. Jiang Beiran took him under his wing while serving as an Iron Seal, three years before their Chapter 85 meeting. Though he lacked conventional cultivation talent, his agility, composure, and ability to act as a temporary leader during trials earned Jiang Beiran’s approval. 85

He became one of Jiang Beiran’s most dependable subordinates, completing resource-gathering assignments in full and managing tasks while Jiang Beiran was absent.
