Naruto exposed Konoha’s leaders during Orochimaru’s attack, then helped bring Tsunade into the Hokage position. After confronting Jiraiya and speaking with Kurama, Naruto left Konoha to join Orochimaru and help purify his soul.

• Orochimaru launched the Konoha Crush Plan, but Naruto interrupted his fight with Hiruzen Sarutobi and exposed the Senju Clan’s fate, Danzo’s crimes, and Hiruzen’s role in the White Fang’s death.
• Tsunade reunited with Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju, condemned Hiruzen and Danzo, and heard Hiashi describe how the Hyuga had been pressured into sacrificing his brother.
• Orochimaru killed Hiruzen Sarutobi, Hashirama Senju departed, and Tobirama Senju ordered Tsunade to become Hokage before the villagers welcomed her as Lord Fifth.
• Naruto calmed the Uchiha over Tsunade’s appointment, then confronted Jiraiya for failing to protect him despite his parents’ trust.
• Naruto’s system upgraded, and he later showed Jiraiya that he, Sasuke, and Hinata could wield Rasengan and Chidori.

• Naruto and Orochimaru found Shin hiding beneath his room, returned to Otogakure, and began seeking a way to save Kimimaro with a Sage Body.
• Naruto and Orochimaru passed Ryūchi Cave’s trials, befriended Garaga, and learned Sage Mode from the White Snake Sage, with Naruto developing dragonlike features.
• Naruto captured White Zetsus for Orochimaru’s experiments, brought Sasuke to the base, and taught him to use natural energy.
• After Hinata disappeared, Naruto and Sasuke were pulled into another world, where they met Minato and Kushina and learned that this world’s Naruto was called Menma.
• Naruto and Sasuke rescued Hinata from Otsutsuki Toneri on the moon, then learned from Jiraiya that Menma had opened a passage between worlds.
• Naruto led an attempt to capture Menma, but Menma escaped after Naruto defeated him, then accepted Obito’s power and awakened Mangekyō Sharingan.

Naruto and Sasuke awakened Sasuke’s Mangekyō Sharingan through an elaborate illusion, then infiltrated the Akatsuki to hunt Obito. Obito and Black Zetsu vanished into an unfamiliar world, while Naruto and Sasuke continued searching for White Zetsu.

• Naruto and Kurama defeated Menma and drove Obito out of his body, then Naruto returned home with Sasuke and Hinata.
• Naruto took Sasuke and Hinata to the moon, where Otsutsuki Toneri trained their chakra control.
• Naruto arranged a genjutsu with Fugaku and Itachi that made Sasuke believe everyone had forgotten Naruto, awakening Sasuke’s Mangekyō Sharingan.

They joined Pain the Wanderer and Jiraiya the Wanderer to find Konan and investigate Obito’s plans, while Obito the Wanderer began stirring up wars.

• Naruto and Sasuke were dragged through a glowing gate into another world, where they met Haku the Wanderer and were taken in by Zabuza the Wanderer as war approached.
• Naruto and Sasuke encountered Tobirama the Wanderer, who learned they were pursuing Obito Uchiha, while Obito and Black Zetsu found Rin the Wanderer sealed inside a crystal at the God Tree.
• Obito the Wanderer fought Obito, then recruited him by promising information about Rin and explaining that he needed sacrifices to make the God Tree bloom and save her.
• Obito and Black Zetsu joined Obito the Wanderer’s Akatsuki and were sent with Konan the Wanderer to eliminate a traitor, but Konan destroyed a corpse bearing the Rinnegan and reunited with the living Pain the Wanderer.
• Naruto and Sasuke met Pain the Wanderer, who identified them as outlanders destined to stop Obito the Wanderer and explained that the God Tree would bring chaos if awakened.
• Naruto and Sasuke encountered Jiraiya the Wanderer and learned that he had died investigating Akatsuki in Amegakure in another timeline.
• Naruto, Sasuke, Pain the Wanderer, and Jiraiya the Wanderer set out to find Konan the Wanderer and learn about Akatsuki’s plans, while Obito the Wanderer ordered his subordinates to provoke wars among the major tribes.
