Ling Yu’s gravely injured father brought her and the infant Ling Xi to Spirit Soul Star, leaving them with their uncle’s family before disappearing. Although she was only a few years old, Ling Yu remembered his bitterness when he spoke the name “Marquis Canglan.” Marquis Silvermoon later discovered the sisters, brought them into the Ganwu Mystic Region, and accepted Ling Yu as a disciple because of her talent 452.

Spirit Soul Star was subsequently renamed Ling Yu Star. Ling Yu continued sending money to the relatives who had raised the sisters, unaware that they were committing atrocities in her name 175.

Lu Qingshan’s Disciple and the Genius Battle

Ling Xi sent Ling Yu the movement technique Thunderlight Flash, which became the starting point of her instruction under Lu Qingshan. Bai Mei initially doubted a Domain Lord instructor’s ability to teach her, but Lu Qingshan’s results eventually won his respect. In Chaos City, Ling Yu devoted most of six years to studying the Qingshan manuals alongside the Time Law patterns on the Ghost King horn. Her subsequent Heavenly Bridge performance attracted powerful observers interested in recruiting her. After thirty years in the city, she chose Spirit Charm King over Enlightening Light King on Lu Qingshan’s advice 111 128.

During a mission on Blood Luo Continent, her bloodline awakening left her unconscious for over a thousand years. Dense baleful energy discouraged intruders, while her Domain Lord Ninth Stage Cloud-Touching Vine guarded the cave. Her disappearance alarmed both Lu Qingshan and Spirit Charm King until Tian Shi Palace confirmed that she remained alive 154 156 160.

Company Trials and the Outer Domain Battlefield

Ling Yu’s company trials included destroying the Treasure Pavilion, eliminating an alien base, and capturing a Marquis-level Immortal. She nearly died in a Fire God Origin Crystal explosion, surviving because her guard captain quickly sheltered her in a World Ring 175.

Her final assignment exposed her uncle’s family’s crimes on Ling Yu Star. Unable to sentence the relatives herself, she handed them to local authorities and received a low passing score. Lu Qingshan reassured her that their teacher–disciple bond did not depend on the company’s judgment 175.

On the Outer Domain Battlefield, Ling Yu adopted the winged identity “Purple Feather King.” She used her bloodline’s disguise ability to conceal her origins and earned the title while still a World Lord. She later credited the Chaos City Lord’s Ice Soul Crystal with saving her during several crises 374 382 383.

Assassination and Revenge

On Manka Star, Shadow Kill Venerable failed to enslave Ling Yu’s soul and then attacked her. Lu Qingshan’s Black Sand Domain weakened the strike, Zhen Yan Venerable rescued her, and Lu Qingshan killed the assassin. Her soul damage was minor but temporarily affected her cultivation 403 425.

After obtaining Universe Venerable-level information access, Ling Yu learned that her father had died on Canglan Star and that her original family had been destroyed. She kept this history secret even from Ling Xi. Once she became a King-level Immortal, she killed Canglan King, provoking his teacher, Demon Shadow Venerable. Lu Qingshan supported her and told her to remain in the Ganwu Mystic Region while the dispute was resolved 452 456 457.

Universe Master and Later Exploration

After becoming a Universe Master, Ling Yu reversed time and space to resurrect both parents. She and Ling Xi spent several years with them on Spirit Soul Star before arranging for their parents to cultivate safely in the Initial Universe 672 673.

Her later expeditions included the Primal Stars, the Inner Domain of Universe Boat, and several visits to the Jin World. Although she maintained a low profile, her Universe Ocean outings established her reputation. Her willingness to spend years in solitary contemplation—and eventually two hundred million years cultivating in the Time Temple—supports that determination 46 50 111 672.

She remains grateful to her teachers rather than treating success as proof of independence. She openly tells Lu Qingshan about her bloodline opportunity, offers to seek Marquis Silvermoon’s help during his conflict with Kunshaluo, and repeatedly credits his instruction for her achievements 61 65 324.

Her protectiveness toward Ling Xi contrasts with her decisiveness in battle. She arranges for Lu Qingshan to shelter her younger sister, worries about Ling Xi’s lack of worldly experience, and later becomes concerned when her sister stops responding during secluded research.
