After giving his father Bourne some instructions, Luo Ao, who had only recently emerged from seclusion, flew straight toward the north of the continent at great speed.
Meanwhile, inside the Central Temple of the newly built Supreme Divine Court.
A sinister-looking, gray-haired young man was drinking with a beautiful girl in his arms. This girl was his newly acquired eight-thousandth "divine consort," a princess from the Tarde Empire. Beautiful and delicately pitiable, she had enjoyed considerable favor from him lately.
Aogemate now regarded himself as the ruler of the entire continent. Every year, he selected young, beautiful girls from the continent's empires, kingdoms, duchies, and scattered city-states to serve him. As long as his subordinates took a fancy to someone, even an imperial princess had to be obediently sent over.
Now, apart from a handful of countries whose Deity Level experts had yet to leave, virtually everywhere had become Aogemate's private back garden.
At that moment, Aogemate enjoyed being fed by the beauty in his arms while listening to his subordinate's report.
"Lord God King, there are still three Deity Level factions on the continent that have not obeyed your decree. So far, they have neither expressed their submission to the Divine Court nor shown any intention of leaving the Boya Continent..." The Saint-level expert who had come to report this looked troubled and deeply frightened.
He knew all too well how mercurial this Lord God King was.
"Hmph." Aogemate immediately sat upright and gave a displeased snort. The scantily clad divine consorts beside him immediately stopped their little movements.
Aogemate abruptly rose to his feet and sneered cruelly. "There are actually three who aren't afraid to die? Tell me who they are. Since they refuse to get out of the Boya Plane, I'll pay them a visit and send them on their way myself!"
"Yes!" Sensing the unparalleled might and overbearing presence radiating from the "Lord God King," the Saint-level expert's heart surged for a moment.
Some of the divine consorts beside Aogemate also had a gleam in their eyes, seemingly admiring his imposing, domineering manner. Every one of them seemed to have been conquered by his personal charm.
"From now on, only one voice will be permitted on this Boya Continent, and that is mine-" Aogemate was displaying his bearing, laughing as he prepared to say more.
Just then, however, a cold laugh came from above the Divine Court. "You certainly know how to enjoy yourself. But you think someone like you deserves to be the master of the Boya Continent?"
Aogemate's expression immediately changed. "Who's there?" His divine sense spread rapidly outward, but to his alarm, he could not detect who had spoken.
For this person to escape his notice entirely, their soul-concealment methods had to be extremely sophisticated. Was it a Highgod? Or a God skilled at concealment?
At that moment, a red-haired young man wearing Azure Battle Armor suddenly appeared at the main entrance to the hall. The newcomer abruptly swept his cold gaze over. "You're Aogemate?"
Aogemate's expression changed drastically. "Who are you?"
He swept out with his divine sense, only to discover that the space around the other man was scorching hot, its temperature extraordinarily high, like boiling lava. When his divine sense probed into it, it was as though it had plunged into magma, melting away instantly.
This red-haired young man was very likely stronger than he was. Could he be a Highgod?!
Aogemate's heart immediately sank. Impossible. How could there still be a Highgod on the Boya Continent?
"I hear you want to be the master of the Boya Continent?" The red-haired young man's voice was icy. He had already drawn a crimson divine sword, and it looked as though this would not end peacefully.
"Sir." Sensing that this red-haired young man was not someone to provoke, Aogemate immediately changed his tone. "I underestimated the heroes of the world before. I never imagined there was still someone of your stature on the Boya Continent. If you are interested, why don't the two of us divide the world between us?"
Facing an unknown enemy, Aogemate did not rashly make an enemy of him. In his view, the other man ought to agree to such a proposal.
"Divide the world? You think you're worthy?" Hearing the red-haired young man's contemptuous tone, Aogemate grew furious as well. He cursed outright, "You bluffing bastard! I gave you a little face, and you actually think I'm afraid of you!"
At first, Aogemate had worried that this fellow was a Highgod, but then he remembered asking the planar overseer before. There had long since ceased to be any experts above the God level on the Boya Continent. There were not even any Gods, so where would a Highgod come from?
Brat, trying to bluff me?
After calming down, Aogemate knew that this fellow was, at most, a newly advanced God like himself. He could not possibly be a Highgod!
We're both Gods. Who's afraid of whom?
At this thought, all fear vanished from Aogemate's heart. So furious that he laughed instead, he looked at the young man, and a black scythe suddenly appeared in his hand. Its dense aura of death instantly permeated the entire hall.
"Ah!" All the women in the hall screamed and scattered, leaving only the two men facing each other.
"Brat, just who are you?" Aogemate fixed Luo Ao with a sinister gaze as cold as ice. "There shouldn't be any grudge between us. You'd best not provoke me either."
At those words, Luo Ao could not help but sneer. "I came here precisely to kill you!"
He suddenly swung the Crimson Annihilation Divine Sword in his hand. Endless fire element between heaven and earth instantly gathered, forming a terrifying fiery tornado with him at its center.
Boom- The instant the scorching fiery tornado appeared, the sturdy hall was burned to ashes and destroyed like a thatched hut. For a moment, the entire Divine Court palace complex seemed to sway precariously in wind and rain.
"What!" Aogemate had never seen such astonishing Flame Law methods. His face instantly darkened.
"Die, Aogemate!"
The towering tornado of flame instantly shrank, coiling around the young man's sword.
The longsword thrust forward, easily piercing through space as it stabbed straight toward Aogemate amid sizzling sounds.
With no other choice, Aogemate could only slash forward with his black scythe, attempting to block the attack.
Hum~~ Just as the two Divine Artifacts were about to collide, the crimson longsword suddenly trembled, and an illusory black flame shot from its blade!
"Damn it! This is a Soul Attack!" He himself excelled at such methods, so naturally he was familiar with them. Yet faced with this illusory, tyrannical black flame, he was still completely powerless to resist.
Bang! The black flame plunged into Aogemate's Soul Ocean first. In a mere instant, this clash of souls had already been decided.
Clack! His powerless arm dropped, and the Divine Artifact in Aogemate's hand offered no resistance whatsoever. The Crimson Annihilation Divine Sword followed close behind, easily burning him into nothingness.
Clearly, Aogemate had already died the moment the Soul Attack struck.
Although Luo Ao was not particularly proficient in the profound mysteries of soul techniques, he did, after all, possess a soul at the Highgod level. Moreover, the Crimson Annihilation Divine Sword itself had special properties. This Soul Attack, which he had unleashed by combining those properties, was clearly quite powerful.
"Hmm? He actually has another clone? Cautious indeed." Luo Ao put away the man's Divine Spark and Divine Artifact, but his attempt to claim ownership of the Space Ring failed.
"Forget it. With his strongest Divine Clone dead, Aogemate probably won't be able to stir up much wind or waves." This was only a Material Plane. Even if the man still had his Saint Domain True Body, he likely would not be able to find a suitable Divine Spark to refine and restore his strength.
"But in that case, I can't spare those subordinates of his." Luo Ao inwardly lamented the pity of it.
He had originally thought killing Aogemate would settle everything once and for all. Yet the man actually still had another clone, which meant those Soul Slaves of his would continue to receive his orders.
"So be it. It's merely another bout of slaughter." Since he had already acted, Luo Ao could not possibly show any mercy.
There were quite a few Lowgods among the man's subordinates. If left alone, they would inevitably stir up another storm on the continent, and they might also threaten his family.
That day, a scorching blaze suddenly shot into the sky from within the Supreme Divine Court!
Not only was the Supreme Divine Court itself put to the torch, but every Deity Level and Saint-level expert within it was also eradicated in one stroke, cut down to the very roots.
