Little Lunatic
Gu Xiao looked at Gu Yun strangely, not understanding what this pink-haired guy actually wanted.
Speaking of which, that head of pink hair paired with an all-pink outfit was truly an eyesore. It hurt his eyes to look at him.
Gu Xiao looked away.
"Now you won't even look at me?"
For an instant, Gu Xiao felt like he had become a scumbag. Left with no choice, he rolled his eyes at Gu Yun.
"Gu Xiao, has anyone ever told you that whenever you look at someone like they're a dog," Gu Yun gripped Gu Xiao's chin, forcing him to meet his eyes, "it makes them wonder what you'd look like if you bowed your head?"
It wasn't as if he couldn't bow his head. What was wrong with someone who got curious about that?
Gu Yun was using far too much force, and Gu Xiao glared at him in displeasure.
"Let go."
Gu Yun instinctively let go.
After realizing what he had done, Gu Yun said angrily, "Do you have to act so high and mighty?"
Gu Xiao was baffled. "What are you so angry about? If you don't want to be a dog, no one's treating you like one."
Besides, this pink-haired guy was nowhere near as cute as a dog.
Was someone like him even worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as a dog?
For some unknown reason, Gu Yun seemed to have been soothed.
That brief remark easily restored his reason.
"Gu Xiao, do you know? Ever since we were little, all I've wanted was for you to give me a proper look," Gu Yun sighed. "But you've never been willing to let your gaze rest on me. There have only ever been those three people by your side. Do you think they're anything good?"
Gu Xiao looked at Gu Yun, his interest piqued. "Could it be that you're... a brocon?"
For some inexplicable reason, the word "brocon" struck Gu Yun as funny. He snorted and started laughing again.
"Gu Xiao, I'm just the butler's adopted son..." Gu Yun licked his lips and stretched his mouth into a wide grin. "Didn't you forbid me from calling you big brother? Even the butler's biological son can call you 'Brother Xiao,' but I can't. I'm just not allowed!"
Gu Yun looked like a lunatic when he acted like this.
Even more like a rabid dog!
"Gu Xiao, you really..." Gu Yun let out a sigh, then pressed, "Why would you think I'm a brocon? Do you think I like you that much?"
"I only exist to die in your place when the time is right."
"Gu Xiao, do you know what I think every time I see you acting so high and mighty?"
How could Gu Xiao possibly know what this lunatic was thinking?
He was just a very ordinary, normal person-
He had simply killed a few too many people.
He asked directly, "What did you bring me here for?"
"You haven't answered my question."
Gu Xiao looked at him mockingly. "Why should I guess what's on your mind, and why should I answer? If you're sick, get treatment. Don't actually turn into a brain-dead idiot."
"How did you know I'm sick?" Gu Yun grabbed Gu Xiao's hand, suggestively interlacing their fingers. "Will you help treat me?"
Gu Xiao lowered his head and looked at their entwined hands.
For the first time, he discovered that such a disgusting way of holding hands existed in this world.
In Gu Xiao's memories, "Gu Xiao" had never had any real contact with Gu Yun throughout his childhood and adulthood.
"Gu Xiao" was the lofty eldest young master of the Gu Family. Gu Yun could only be his shadow.
Who knew what was behind this guy's inexplicable fit of madness?
Gu Xiao felt that it probably had something to do with that strange thing inside him.
He didn't know what it was, but that thing had dragged him into this world. That damned thing wouldn't let him live in peace!
"I'm no doctor. I can't treat you," Gu Xiao reminded him kindly. "You probably wouldn't dare kill me, but if you want to do something, you need to hurry, don't you?"
As the eldest young master of the Gu Family, how could he possibly have no one protecting him in secret?
Who knew what method Gu Yun had used to break through that ring of protection and bring him to this godforsaken place?
Fu Huai's warning had been right. Both Gu Yun and the forces behind him were eyeing the Gu Family's X Group like tigers, eager to sink their teeth into it.
Even biting off a tiny piece would count as a win.
"You really love misunderstanding me," Gu Yun said helplessly. "Do I have to make it more obvious before you understand what I actually want?"
Gu Xiao looked at him coldly. "What, do you want to break my fingers?"
Why else would he be gripping them so tightly?
Gu Yun had no intention of wasting any more words on the romantically clueless Gu Xiao.
He tied his pink bangs into a little tuft, his pink, gold-rimmed eyes ensnaring Gu Xiao.
Gu Xiao only found all that pink dazzling. How could a man like pink this much?
He mocked him. "Don't tell me you have a pink princess bed at home too. If you want to become an omega, I can help you contact a hospital as a friendly favor."
Gu Yun wasn't annoyed by the mockery. Instead, he seized both of Gu Xiao's wrists with one hand and lifted them together above Gu Xiao's head.
"Big brother, the way you talk tough is such a turn-on. But I can't become an omega. How would I be your substitute then?"
"You..."
Gu Xiao frowned, watching as Gu Yun pressed down on him and bit his arm.
Gu Yun looked at Gu Xiao with a thoroughly satisfied expression. "Big brother, why are you reacting like that?"
"It's a normal reaction." Gu Xiao was still in the mood to laugh. "You dog."
These bastards who refused to uphold their male virtue for the universally adored protagonist could just wait for their crematorium later.
"Who was it?!"
"You smell like someone else!"
Gu Yun's expression grew a little more vicious, and even his pink pupils dilated.
To Gu Xiao, the way he looked clearly meant he was about to pass out from anger.
"What's it to you?" Gu Xiao reminded him kindly. "Gu Yun, you're really stupid."
Gu Xiao hadn't found even someone like Ji Chuan all that disgusting.
But Gu Yun's rabid-dog lunge for food utterly repulsed him.
This rabid dog had even injured him!
Gu Xiao hated getting hurt more than anything.
In the apocalypse, even a tiny wound could very well make a living person rot away.
Gu Xiao had seen far too many people die that way, making him all the more unwilling to have any wounds on his own body.
And Gu Yun-heh.
Also, Gu Yun's pheromones...
The entire car was filled with the scent of freesia.
"I'm stupid?" Watching Gu Xiao's indifferent expression, Gu Yun felt his masculine pride smashed to pieces. Flustered and furious, he demanded, "Do you think you're any better?"
Impossible!
How could Gu Xiao possibly have had contact with anyone else? Those three watched him so closely. How could they allow something like that to happen?
That expression didn't look like a lie at all, either.
Faced with that barrage of questions, Gu Xiao couldn't be bothered to answer.
Instead, he asked, "Don't you have any self-awareness? Little boy, you're still too green."
Those words burned away what little reason Gu Yun had left...
