"So she's that hateful woman who seduced my brother!"
Erika Chiba finally remembered who this woman was.
Then he saw three burning gazes, their eyes practically shining.
"Uh..."
"Ahem..."
"Nothing, nothing happened, I didn't say anything. Bye!"
Erika Chiba ran off in a flash.
"Well, Brother, I'll be going too."
Seeing that it was time to part with her brother, Miyuki Shiba said goodbye as well.

Tatsuya Shiba nodded and left.

"Once inside, you can train according to your needs. There are all kinds of magic practice areas inside, and each small section has a data monitoring system. After casting your magic, you can use the system's analysis and monitoring data to improve in your desired direction."
"Remember, you aren't allowed to take anything from inside out with you. All right, go in."
After the introduction, the teacher leading them added a warning.
Only after entering did Chiba Yeyou discover that the so-called sections were individual rooms resembling laboratories. Chiba Yeyou guessed they were probably quite large, since the signs were spaced so far apart.
"What type of magic are you going to test?"

Chiba Yeyou looked up at the sign on the door. It read "Magic interference strength testing."
"I'll pick this one."
Chiba Yeyou thought this test looked good.
"Then let's go together. I happen to want to test how my magic interferes with matter too. It'll help me control my magic."
Miyuki Shiba also saw the sign on the room. It was just right for testing her magic.
Her magic's interference was very strong, but she couldn't control it perfectly. This place really did suit her.
"Mm."
Chiba Yeyou pushed open the door. An enormous illuminated screen came into view, displaying all sorts of data fields, though they were currently empty. Beside it was an open magic-casting area containing a series of cylindrical objects.
"There's a slot here. It's probably for student ID cards, right?"
The two exchanged a glance and inserted their student ID cards.
"Go give it a try."
Chiba Yeyou said to Miyuki Shiba.
Miyuki Shiba nodded, stepped onto a platform, and took out a blue rectangular CAD, beginning to cast magic toward the open testing area.
She pressed her CAD a few times, and blue rings of light began blooming over her right hand, appearing one after another.
These rings of light were actually magical script. When magical script was being activated, it emitted various kinds of light.
"Niflheim."
Flowers of ice immediately bloomed throughout the testing area, and cold air began spreading rapidly. However, the two outside the testing area didn't feel cold.
"Looks like there's an insulating layer!"
Muttering to himself, Chiba Yeyou walked toward the "glass partition" before him.
He placed his hand on it and still felt no chill. It didn't even feel particularly cold, only the temperature glass would normally have.
Well, it was a little cool.
"This definitely isn't because of the material."
"Expand Quantum Domain!"
He activated the magic: "Situational Awareness."
In an instant, the psions centered on Chiba Yeyou began spinning wildly around him, and information about a spell appeared in his mind.
"Hmm?"
Miyuki Shiba noticed as soon as the psions began moving. After all, the two were in the same room, not far apart.
"Oh!"
"So that's how it works!"
Chiba Yeyou looked enlightened.
"What are you doing?"
Miyuki Shiba looked at Chiba Yeyou curiously.
"Nothing. I just found it curious that your magic doesn't affect anything outside, not even a little."
Excitement shone in Chiba Yeyou's eyes as he kept staring at the transparent glass before him, happier than if he had seen a beautiful woman.

New ideas for magic kept springing up in Chiba Yeyou's mind.
"So, did you figure it out?"
Miyuki Shiba stopped looking at the data on the big screen. She hadn't thought anything of it originally, but after hearing Chiba Yeyou's words, she realized it too. She reached out and touched the glass, discovering that it truly hadn't been affected by her magic.
"There's a two-layer spell on this glass, 'Abyss Separation.'"
"This spell is very unusual. The inner layer weakens the interference it receives and passes it to the outer layer, which then sends it back to cancel out the interference."
"Although it only serves to isolate things, the thinking behind this two-layer spell is absolutely advanced. I have to say, whoever developed this spell really was a genius!"
Watching Chiba Yeyou grow more excited as he spoke, Miyuki Shiba was stunned.
