Wen Jiu: !!!
Shen Yu was stir-frying ribs in the wok. He had waited ages for Wen Jiu to bring the aromatics, only to look up and find him gone.
Shen Yu had little patience for anyone other than Yu Qing. Worried that tending the fire would tire Yu Qing out, he shouted for Wen Jiu, "Get back here and chop the vegetables! Stop standing around!"
Still no response.
The two finally realized something was wrong. Yu Qing stoked the fire, then pulled Shen Yu outside to see what was happening.
When he saw who had arrived, surprise flickered across Yu Qing's face, and he instinctively met Shen Yu's eyes.
Shen Yu tightened his grip on his hand, and they exchanged a smile.
They really had gotten together.
Outside, the atmosphere in the courtyard was bizarrely harmonious.
Everyone watched as the man who had radiated an unapproachable air just a moment ago now stood with his head slightly bowed, letting the swearing, cleaver-wielding youth lecture him. His lowered eyes lent him a touch of obedience.
He looked docile and harmless.
"Well, look at you! How dare you mess with your daddy's phone?"
Wen Xiaojiu was beside himself with rage. "You even fucking posted it on my profile! Were you trying to leave your daddy with that stain for the rest of his life?!"
"No. I just wanted to remind you that it was a danmei novel. There were no soft, sweet girls." The man really did look very well-behaved. "Besides, you can delete it."
"I already deleted it! Did I need you to tell me? You unfilial son!"
"Oh, that's good, then. A-Jiu is so clever."
Wen Jiu said, "Don't try to butter me up. It won't work! No compliments!"
A soft chuckle escaped the man's throat. "All right."
He deliberately softened his voice, his tone languid and lazy. His laugh sent a tingling numbness through half of Wen Jiu's body.
Wen Jiu bristled. "No laughing!"
Feng Chi reached for his hand again. "All right. Whatever you say. Don't be angry anymore."
Everyone: ...
Be honest. Who was really behind that face?
No one had ever seen Feng Chi look this gentle and harmless.
He was like a pampered, snarling attack dog who, upon seeing the owner he had longed for, tucked away the viciousness in his bones, wagged his tail, and grinned, letting his owner do whatever he pleased with him.
Melon-eaters across the internet drooled with envy.
Wen Jiu, however, had no idea how spoiled and arrogant he looked to the viewers. Still angry, he simply slapped the man's hand away at those words. With the cleaver in one hand and the other planted on his hip, he made it clear that no amount of coaxing would work without an explanation:
"And another thing! Why are you here too? You lied to me again?!"
He had even dared call him a scumbag who left his wife alone at home!
Aaaaaah, he had even touched his mouth!
Touching his mouth was one thing, but he had even dared complain that he was too small-his mouth!
What man could put up with that?
Remembering what had happened last night, Wen Xiaojiu nearly broke down!
The man truly lived up to being the novel's male lead, the author's darling son. Every bit of his hardware and software was perfect. Fuck, even that part!
It was so abnormal!
It was clearly his own problem, yet the bastard had turned around and blamed Wen Jiu for not being able to take it!
Wen Jiu was falling apart. Wen Jiu was losing his mind!
Wen Jiu raised his cleaver, making as if to hack the bastard to death!
"Wen Xiaojiu." They couldn't keep standing there being gawked at like monkeys. Feng Chi decided to take the kid back to their room and coax him slowly.
"Be good." Holding his wrist in one hand, Feng Chi gently disarmed him and passed the cleaver to the assistant beside them. He reached out and swept Wen Jiu into his arms, holding him gently but firmly. "Don't make a fuss."
Then he leaned down again, his thin lips lightly brushing the rim of the youth's ear.
In a low, seductive murmur, he called, "Hubby~"
Shen Huaian: "Holy shit!"
The bullet comments: [Holy shit!!!]
What was this thrilling development?
[I don't care. They kissed!]
[I don't care either. I'm shipping this couple, and that's final!]
[Say what you will, this man is seriously sexy. Kissing his ear and all that... he's making my knees weak.]
[Didn't he say something too?]
[Not sure. Maybe he just kissed him? I saw his lips move!]
[You youngsters have such good eyes. An old auntie like me has to put on her reading glasses. These two kids really do make a lovely pair.]
[??? How... old are you?]
[Don't ask. Could also be someone who's lost their mind from the shock.]
[I'm going crazy too! I don't know why, but now that President Feng is here, wifey doesn't even look that silly anymore.]
[That's what they call "you act silly and make a fuss, I smile and spoil you." That's how it is around someone who loves you. Slap on eighteen layers of filters, and even an idiot becomes a sweet, innocent airhead.]
[Holy shit, holy shit, girls, stop talking! Look at the screen!!!]
On camera, the youth looked utterly boneless, his delicate little face burning as he buried it in the man's arms.
Feng Chi hadn't noticed at first. Only when he loosened his hold slightly did he realize something was wrong with the kid.
Wen Jiu: ...
Unlike the viewers who were just talking big, Wen Jiu's knees really had gone weak from the man's teasing.
A soft, delicate little kitten had flung himself against a noble, elegant big dog. Held by that broad hand, his waist naturally curved inward, revealing the sexy dimples in his lower back.
Feng Chi yanked down the white shirt that had ridden up over Wen Jiu's lower back, his expression darkening.
Everyone stared, dumbstruck.
"What are you looking at?" Wen Jiu shouted with blustering bravado. He didn't dare imagine what a frenzy the internet was in, and silently cursed the bastard a thousand times through gritted teeth.
He snapped fiercely, "You unfilial son, hurry up and carry your daddy back!"
Without a word, the man bent down and scooped him up.
Wen Jiu was about to bristle again. "You!"
"Baby, don't move." A large hand gently but firmly cupped the back of Wen Jiu's head, keeping him turned away from the camera and out of sight. Feng Chi's slightly husky voice was low, his mood impossible to read.
But Cai Qing sensed that his boss was in a terrible mood. He immediately stepped forward and asked them to pause filming.
The cameraman didn't dare disobey and promptly switched off the camera.
The director hurried back in a panic. Before he had even figured out what was happening, shrewd as he was, he told the assistant director to shut down all the livestreams inside the rooms.
The viewers were like zha beasts that had just broken into a melon patch, drooling over a garden full of melons, only to be ordered to look but not eat.
They crawled frantically through the shadows of the patch, darting about at random.
Feng Chi had deliberately chosen a more relaxed outfit today and even put on the Piaget Emperador Temple he had once considered too flashy. Everything about him practically screamed "seduction."
All to seduce one person: Wen Jiu.
He hadn't expected to accidentally take the teasing too far and embarrass the little guy. With that fiery temper of his, who knew how long he would need to coax him?
Of course, what bothered Feng Chi most was the shirt that had accidentally ridden up when he pulled Wen Jiu into his arms.
Before Wen Jiu left, the man had schemingly dressed him in a matching white shirt. Who could have known the fabric was so fine that it would ride up at the slightest movement?
Feng Chi wore a cold expression, angry with himself.
And when he was angry, he needed Wen Xiaojiu to coax him.
So he cornered Wen Jiu at the edge of the bed in their room and, with reddened eyes, ordered aggrievedly, "Wifey, change your clothes."
"Get off me!" Wen Jiu had no idea what had gotten into the man this time. He still had scores to settle with the bastard, yet here the man was, acting wronged.
"Who are you calling wifey?!"
Feng Chi readily corrected himself. "Hubby, change your clothes."
"You're the one who dressed me in this this morning! What about it offends your eyes now?" Just bringing it up made Wen Jiu angry. After all their antics last night, he hadn't been able to get up that morning and had let Feng Chi dress and groom him from start to finish before handing him over to Qu Feng.
"Besides, my wife's home all alone! And who might you be, sir?"
Feng Chi: ...
This time, nothing Wen Jiu said did any good. Feng Chi didn't insist either. He simply pinned him to the bed, reached out, and lightly pinched his supple waist.
Wen Jiu instantly went limp.
His misty peach-blossom eyes glared at him. "You bastard!"
"Mm, I am." The man's Adam's apple bobbed. Unable to resist, he leaned down, lightly kneading with his hand as he pushed the white shirt up.
"Pervert!"
"Mm. Only for you."
A dark haze spread through Feng Chi's eyes. His gaze was deep and shadowed as he kept Wen Jiu firmly trapped within his reach. "Baby, listen to me. Be good."
"Who-who's your baby?!" Wen Jiu, a straight man, was practically dying from the sappiness. Even his toes curled, and his gaze darted away, not daring to look at him. "Let go of your daddy already!"
Feng Chi ignored him. His fingertips caught the youth's luminous pale skin as he gently lifted his chin.
His low voice carried a note of command, seductive and beguiling. "Lift your head, look at me."
