"I'm resurrected?"
The young woman sitting inside the coffin muttered to herself uncertainly.
She raised her hand and examined it.
It was no longer deathly pale and cold. Instead, it carried a trace of warmth, the breath of the living. Her body was also somewhat different from before. It seemed that all the supernatural within her had vanished, leaving only this exceptionally special garment.
She recognized this garment. It was from the tailor shop in Taiping Town.
At that moment, Boss Liu returned. He had heard the commotion in the back hall, and when he saw the young woman, he froze for a moment.
Yet it all seemed perfectly reasonable.
"He used soul summoning, combined with some other supernatural powers, to resurrect you."
Boss Liu fell silent for a moment before speaking. "But He Liansheng is dead. He was killed by some youngster just now. If there's nothing wrong with you, come out and see him. Help collect his body while you're at it. This coffin can still be put to use, so it won't go to waste."
He Liansheng was dead?
A shocked expression appeared on the young woman's face upon hearing the news. "How could Grandpa He possibly die?"
"Everyone dies. No one is an exception. The older generation all died out long ago, let alone the few of us," Boss Liu said.
"I don't believe it." The young woman became agitated. She could not accept He Liansheng's death.
She hurriedly flipped herself out of the Red Coffin. Staggering, she nearly fell into the pooled water, but the tall Faceless Man beside her caught her.
Wading through the frigid water, the young woman hurried toward the ancestral hall.
Sure enough.
The moment she entered the ancestral hall, the young woman saw a headless corpse standing in the middle.
