On the silent highway, with no vehicles passing by, Nagazawa stared at the scene before him and could not help muttering to himself. Everything was still familiar, yet the Ghost Slaves surging in from all directions were gone. The terrifying floating dead heads in the sky were gone as well, and so was the corpse-spotted old man who had inspired the deepest despair.
All the bizarre phenomena had vanished. Nagazawa knew that he had escaped Kobe City—no, more accurately, he had escaped that terrifying place.
This was still Kobe City, just one without vicious ghosts wandering about.
At that moment, however, the woman named Mishima was still crouched in a corner with her head in her arms, sobbing and muttering to herself. She seemed to have suffered a complete emotional breakdown and had yet to recover.
Keiko was doing slightly better. She kept her eyes shut and trembled, refusing to look at anything or concern herself with anything. She had placed all her hopes on Yang Jian. She knew very well that as long as Yang Jian looked after her, she would not die. If he did not, then no amount of struggling would save her.
Three people had survived. The middle-aged man called Sakai had died inside the Door-Knocking Ghost's Ghost Domain.
The Ghost Child was still circling nearby. What had just happened had not affected it in the slightest.

I did not truly come into contact with the Door-Knocking Ghost—I merely got close. Although it grabbed my hand, there was a gold glove between us. Even so, my body is
