(Third-person perspective)
The warm morning sun bathed the courtyards of Winterfell, the afterglow of the previous night's revelry giving way to the lingering effects of the celebrations. The lords who had attended the feast were still recovering from their hangovers in bed. Meanwhile, every corner of the Citadel was bustling with activity.
On the archery range, Dacey Mormont and Arya Stark engaged in a fierce axe-throwing contest, the metallic clanging of their weapons adding to their playful banter. Nearby, Sansa Stark meticulously tended to her bow and arrows. At her feet, her giant Direwolf, Lady, slept peacefully, as if guarding its mistress's work.
In their friendly rivalry, Dacey turned her competitive gaze to Sansa, tempting her to axe-throwing challenge. Sansa refused, head held high, deeming the axe too crude and disliked it. Dacey countered.
"Come on, Miss Sansa, are you afraid your delicate hands will get hurt?"
Sansa raised an eyebrow, unmoved.
"That has nothing to do with my hands, Ms. Dacey. I prefer a more dexterous weapon to a crude one like a throwing axe."
Dacey turned and hurled her axe, aiming straight for the bullseye. As the Dacey slashed through the air, a sudden streak of light caught her off guard. Dacey felt the wind brush her cheek. An arrow skillfully shot by Sansa had intercepted her axe, deflecting it from its trajectory. Dacey's cheeks flushed; she was both annoyed and realized that Sansa wasn't the delicate flower she had imagined. Turning angrily to Sansa, Dacey's voice was sharp.
"Are you crazy? You almost ejaculated on me!"
Sansa seemed unperturbed, coldly retorting.
"Don't worry, there's no danger. Just like you said, my delicate hands are very skilled with a bow."
In defiance, Dacey hurled an axe at Sansa, her eyes betraying silent fear. But the real show was just beginning. The majestic Direwolf " Lady " interpreted this as a threat to her master's life, and the massive creature let out a menacing roar.
Dacey knew the true reason behind this hostility. Therefore, she couldn't back down. Having made her decision, Dacey began her transformation, unleashing her latent skin-changing ability. Her body changed; muscles rippled, limbs lengthened, and her nails became bear claws. Her jaws protruded slightly, resembling a bear's nose, and fur grew on her face and arms. Normally, she was 180 meters tall, but after the transformation, she reached 196 meters. Although the transformation wasn't complete, she already possessed the imposing appearance of a bear. She was taller than Direwolf, exuding power and ferocity. But it wasn't clear who was stronger.
To stop the conflict, Arya walked up to her Direwolf, Nymeria, blocking her path and preventing her from joining the fight. Her conflicting emotions mirrored her actions—on one hand, she was trying to quell the conflict, and on the other hand, she was fascinated by witnessing the clash between the skin-changers and the Warg.
"Things are getting out of control," Arya muttered, glancing warily at Dacey's imposing half-bear form.
Just as the tension reached its peak, Aermir Drasil's arrival broke the stillness of the archery range. He had learned of the brewing confrontation from Poe, and his authoritative voice commanded Dacey and the Direwolf to listen carefully.
"Enough!" Aermir's voice boomed, shattering the tense atmosphere. The sudden shift in atmosphere was obvious; the previous ferocity was replaced by an awkward silence. You could see the Lady's aggressive demeanor had vanished, replaced by a defensive growl at Aermir, warning him not to come closer. As long as the Warg weren't bound to them by a bond, they were no different from ordinary animals. Therefore, Aermir was able to subdue the " Lady." Aermir approached the " Lady " with a majestic posture and voice, taking her hand in his, and the Direwolf obediently rested its head under Aermir's palm.
Aermir's appearance quelled the hostility between Dacey and Sansa; their gazes lowered, their expressions subdued. The flames that had ignited their rivalry had been extinguished, replaced by a shared shyness in his presence.
Aermir's voice echoed across the archery range, his serious expression like a lingering admonition. The passionate duel had subsided, leaving only lingering awkwardness. Sansa and Dacey, usually composed and strong-willed, now stood timidly to the side, their competitive spirit extinguished by the piercing gaze of the man they both admired in the distance.
The courtyards of Winterfell seemed to exhale a sigh of relief in the aftermath of this calm. Aermir stood by, acting as an unsuspecting mediator, while unspoken undercurrents of emotion continued to weave a complex web, concealing the subtle interactions between the Stark and Mormont's fiery heart.
Dacey often watched Aermir from afar, admiring his strength and determination. She considered herself his equal, a warrior herself, and couldn't help but feel that he deserved a partner whose spirit matched his. But she knew Aermir was invincible on the battlefield; she knew his true identity, which made her admire him even more, but because she knew his identity, she didn't have the courage to openly express her feelings.
On the other hand, Sansa had her own reasons for being captivated by Aermir. His mysterious aura and unique abilities fascinated her, and she found herself drawn to him in a way she had never experienced before. Whenever he was near, she felt a flutter in her heart, but her sense of integrity and responsibility made her carefully conceal her feelings. At least, that's what she thought.
When Aermir's commanding presence eased the tension, his voice seemed to melt the ice that had formed between them. The competition was temporarily set aside, but unspoken emotions lingered beneath the surface, waiting for the right moment to surface.
Arya, observing from the sidelines, was well aware of the situation. Always perceptive, she witnessed Dacey and Sansa's furtive glances and awkward interactions with Aermir. She couldn't help but grin mischievously, her mind racing, a potential romance beginning to stir within her.
