Routing the Enemy

When I heard the bugle call, I shouted with all my might.

"Charge!"

Three hundred soldiers began running at full speed through the woods. The West Gate was about 800 meters away. There were nearly eight hundred soldiers outside the gate, and I spotted the Tawney banner among them. I could cover that distance on my Sith in just a few seconds, but I made the Sith walk because I needed to move the army with me.

Upon noticing our arrival, the Ironborn turned back to try and form a defensive line, but before they could make adequate preparations, the battle broke out.

As my men approached the enemy lines, I ordered Sith to charge at full speed. But I had Berus and Lika follow from behind because I didn't want their minimization spells to be broken. If they lost their way in the battle, they might lose control of the minimization spells, and I didn't want anyone to see all my familiars as behemoths.

As the Sith leaped into the enemy ranks, I threw my large smoke grenade directly into the midst of the Ironborn soldiers and cast the ( Fog Cloud ) spell. Fog about 20 meters long began to spread out of thin air, but I aimed at a more distant area rather than one close to us, otherwise the Fog would have started to interfere with my soldiers' fighting.

The Ironborn soldiers, beginning to lose sight of their surroundings, were breaking through their lines. It was clear that Tawney was shouting orders, but in the chaos, not a single soldier heard him. Upon seeing the Sith, the soldiers retreated in terror.

I channeled some magic into Sith, and with that magic, a tremendous roar shook everyone to their core. She unleashed a killing spree, attacking with both hands.

With each swing of her claws, entrails and heads fell to the ground. The Ironborn attacked with spears and swords, but the surging magic within her prevented them from harming her. Although she still suffered some blunt force injuries, they were merely scratches. In this battle, my combat efficiency was not high.

Don't get me wrong, to Ironborn I might look like a harvester.

However, because of my sword, my attack range is not far enough, and I need to arrange a weapon for use while riding a horse as soon as possible.

Berus and Lika were busy breaking arms and legs with every bite on the rear lines. Meanwhile, Im slid across the ground, biting everyone one by one. Until he ran out of magic and venom, I think he had probably killed around 100 soldiers.

( Daryn Tawney's perspective)

Everything went smoothly. At least that's what I thought. We landed successfully and marched on the Citadel. Our spy completed his mission, providing us with crucial intelligence, and when the war began, he would open the city gates under our command at the most critical moment, allowing us to destroy the city.

The war began as we had anticipated. At first, we suffered some heavy losses, but as we approached the Wall, we pulled our soldiers to the north the Wall as planned and began to slowly slide towards the west gate.

Our spy signaled to him that he was ready, and we signaled him to open the gate once everything was ready. The gate opened as expected after the signal was given.

But from that moment on, everything started going wrong. The North had carved a deadly corridor through the gate, but by the time we realized it, 800 to 1,000 soldiers had already entered. Although the order to retreat was given, those behind could not retreat because at that very moment, another force attacked from behind.

Suddenly, a thick fog rolled in, obscuring everything. All I could see was a horse-sized " Shadowcat " and the person on it, tearing me to shreds.

This man and his soldiers were charging towards me with unstoppable force. Although we rained arrows down from behind, not a single one struck him or the two men beside him. Just a few meters away, an iron Giants, like a bull, was devouring my soldiers from one direction to the other. With each swing of his hammer, one of our soldiers was taken.

The smoke and the two monsters ahead threw the soldiers into complete chaos. No one obeyed orders anymore, and some even began to run away.

The Shadow Lynx was rapidly approaching me. I'd rather die here than return in disgrace. I turned my horse around and led the remaining six hundred-odd soldiers to meet this man's hundreds of soldiers.

Just as we were preparing to clash with this man, flames began to rise behind us; the barricades were on fire.

The flames and billowing smoke terrified the soldiers inside the barricade. They began shoving and pushing each other as they rushed toward the gate, crushing one another to escape the fire and smoke.

This caused my soldiers' defensive line to be breached, and our defenses were completely shattered. Just then, " Shadowcat " let out a deafening roar.

Most people threw down their weapons and started to run away. Suddenly, the big cat charged at me and found an open space among the soldiers.

A few meters away from me, my loyal soldiers tried to build a thin defensive line, and I did my best to fight them off, but the Iron Giants and the knights on the Shadow Lynx began to tear through this thin line in an instant, while the soldiers behind them began to surround us.

The last thing I saw was the approaching knight leaping from his mount and charging at me, his sword aimed straight for my chest.

(Male protagonist's perspective)

Led by Sith, we advanced almost all the way into enemy territory, reaching the Citadel gates. Harrick also played a crucial role. Standing at 2 meters tall and clad in full armor, he charged at the enemy like a nightmare. Thanks to my Buff, he charged at the enemy with seemingly endless stamina and near- Superman strength. He even tried to keep up with Sith's pace, and almost succeeded.

I watched the soldiers follow behind those two fearless monsters, colliding with the enemy as if they too were protected by magical shields—it was quite a sight.

Caygan was also a grim reaper, but he wasn't as effective as the other two because he lacked a crucial element: the element of fear. That's why he didn't have the same enormous impact as the other two. I realize today that soldiers are simple creatures. If they believe their general is invincible, they will fearlessly march toward death.
