Zhang Yi gathered Nan Shao and Li Muran around his efforts to protect Zhang Ruiyang and survive, while the group scavenged supplies and rescued Meat Tower Chen. The arc left Zhang Yi, Nan Shao, and Li Muran escaping a zombie-filled hospital with medicine to treat Chen.

Arc 2The Cave and Zheng Kun

Zhang Yi, Nan Shao, and their companions established a home, discovered a hidden mountain stockpile, and grew stronger while hunting zombies. After Nan Shao and Zhang Yi killed Zheng Kun and framed Bai Mei, the group returned to hunting and divided a large haul of Corpse Crystals.
